Argyll Mansions est un imposant bâtiment victorien en grès avec une position en front de mer. Magnifiquement présenté et spacieux, cet appartement de trois chambres respire le charme et l'élégance. Vous ne serez pas déçu de séjourner dans notre appartement de luxe. Il peut accueillir jusqu'à cinq personnes, il est donc assez grand pour une famille mais suffisamment confortable pour deux et est situé au troisième étage du prestigieux bâtiment classé de catégorie B. Construit entre 1905/07, Argyll Mansions a été décrit comme «l'un des plus beaux immeubles d'Écosse» et représente une œuvre tardive de l'architecte William Leiper, avec une vue panoramique imprenable sur la baie d'Oban et les îles au-delà de Kerrera, Mull & Lismore.
Tout est à votre porte, des nombreux restaurants renommés d'Oban dans la ville et ses environs à ses nombreuses boutiques et rues pour vous occuper et vous divertir. Il y a aussi un cinéma à deux écrans et un centre de loisirs. Ou vous pourriez profiter d'une promenade sur les plages de Ganavan, ou d'un court voyage en ferry vers l'île de Kerrera avec son propre château, et en été un salon de thé! Oban est connue comme la «capitale des fruits de mer d'Écosse» avec une flotte de bateaux de pêche dans la baie, une bonne gamme de restaurants de fruits de mer et une excellente poissonnerie, et elle est également connue comme la «porte des îles» avec son ferry Calmac très fréquenté. terminal pour des voyages à Mull, Colonsay, Mull, Tiree, Lismore et Barra.

Great location.

Everything about the accommodation was high quality. The stairs were a challenge with luggage but they did lead to a great view . Would definitely come again.

What a location!

We loved our stay at this beautiful apartment. With its breathtaking views and clean, comfortable accommodations. We had everything we needed here to feel right at home. I wish we could have stayed longer to explore Oban a little more, but we had a wonderful time here and you could not ask for better location.

Lovely Appartment

We enjoyed our stay here. Very spacious and immaculate apartment right in the centre of Oban harbour. Beautiful views over the sea from the front of the building and views of McCaig’s tower at the back. We’d definitely stay here again in the future.

Central, walkable with stunning views

As noted in the title, everything at your fingertips. Stunning views of harbour and mountains. Just a note for those with limited mobility - there are quite a few stairs involved but that pretty much was everywhere I stayed in Scotland. Overall, clean, beautiful and a very attentive host.

Excellent location to explore Oban and the Western Isles. Apartment very comfortable, capable of facilitating a family holiday, close to all facilities in Oban and surrounding region of Argyle and Bute. Need to address the incoming of rain water via the window frames during inclement weather.

Highland Odyssey

Lovely stay in Oban in a well equipped, well located apartment. Amazing views and close to local restaurants and amenities. Good base to explore the wider Highlands. The apartment can sleep 5 comfortably so for 2 of us was brilliant. As others have said 72 steps up to the 3rd floor is a challenge after a day exploring but hey, keeps you fit !!

Oban in August-

Its a beautiful old apartment with separate living-kitchen-dining rooms. I wholly recommend but do note that there are ~70 stairs to access, so not suitable for less mobile folks, there is only one bathroom/toiler and there is no associated parking (but there is cheap parking very nearby).

Great location

We felt lucky to be staying in such a lovely apartment in a prime location - fantastic views and right on the main street. Enjoyed some trips to Lismore, Mull and the local castles and beaches. Recommend the apartment and Oban.

Best View in Oban

Rather “puffed” after scaling 72 steps with our luggage, but the facilities once up there made us feel at home. The views of the bay, with ferries and other craft constantly on the move, were a joy to see. We explored the islands of Lismore, Kerrera and Easdale via the various small ferries in perfect summer weather. Dunollie Castle was an interesting place to visit, and the food excellent. The TV reception was poor though, ‘mosaics’ spoiling the picture. Thanks for the opportunity to enjoy Oban and surrounding area once again.

Argyle Mansions,Oban

We really enjoyed our stay in this spacious apartment with its lovely views over looking the bay.Even out of the windows at the back there was an interesting view of a folly lit up at night with blue lights. If you don’t mind climbing 72 steps you’ll be happy with the result.One negatives we had was that there was no free street parking and sorting out the £30 parking tariff for a week was difficult because the website of the Argyll and Bute Council was poor but the tourist information office were very helpful.Another was that the oven in the apartment was very fierce and we think this could be mentioned in the information pack.

Oban Argyll Mansion

This property is dead center of the main street overlooking the bay. Perfect location. Excellent accommodations. I have to really work hard to come up with anything negative. The only thing I can think of is that it would have been nice if the lights in the stairway had been motion activated.

Lovely holiday in Oban

A lovely property with excellent views. Great location in the town though the 72 steps and lack of parking are a challenge with bags. The oven thermostat didn’t seem to work so the oven got extremely hot. Overall a lovely apartment, a great place to stay and a lovely holiday. The information provided in the property was very good apart from the instructions about where to empty the bins.

Argyll Mansions Oban Argyll Scotland Christmas/New Year 2021

Argyll Mansions , great location in the centre of Oban in an iconic building on the waterfront with beautiful views out over the bay , very comfortably furnished, spacious and clean, an excellent kitchen with necessary appliances , included good WIFI. We have scored location as 5 but would note that location is on the 3rd floor with stair access only which some may find a challenge. The apartment was very welcoming for the Christmas season in true festive spirit. We had a wonderful stay and would love to return and stay in this beautiful apartment.

Argyll Mansions review

We had a fabulous stay in Oban. The accommodation was first class for location, cleanliness, check in/check out procedures and everything had been thought of to make our stay welcoming and comfortable, with safe easy to follow covid procedures in place . The views were spectacular and the weather. Can't wait to return!

Excellent stay.

Excellent apartment with fantastic views of Oban's main street, the harbour and adjacent islands. Something to see at all times! Apartment was very comfortable and roomy. Couldn't hear any neighbours at all. Great base to explore surrounding areas. Only drawback is the three flights of stairs when carrying luggage!

A lovely apartment in an excellent location

We are a family of 5 and had a lovely holiday in Argyll Mansions. The customer service was excellent as was the cleanliness and facilities, very comfortable beds. My only recommendation would be that the apartment would benefit from an extra bathroom when 5 guests are staying there.

Great Getaway in Gateway to the Isles

Accommodations were fantastic and the staff was exceptionally responsive during the booking process. We stayed five nights at the end of February in 2020, and part of what we enjoyed so much about our time in Oban was having Argyll Mansions as our home base. Just a short distance from the train station, ferry terminal, and lots of pubs, this is an ideal location. Many shops and cafes are nearby, too, so anything we needed was easily accessible. That said, not much was needed seeing as the apartment was stocked with amenities. The full kitchen, including washer and dryer, was very helpful. The area was safe and we had no troubles at all. We would very much recommend this place to anyone looking to travel to Oban.

Perfect location, excellent accommodations

This rental has beautiful views of Oban, is spacious and is just all around perfect for visiting Oban. From beautiful decor to a well appointed kitchen, a great central location and did I mention the views? I highly recommend this rental. Just be prepared for carrying luggage up the stairs. It’s well worth the climb.
