Amazing property and the Vacasa Concierge (Lourdes) was nothing short of âSuper Womanâ!
Thereâs a hidden gem next door called Playa de Sala and the people, service and food were EXCELLENT!
When I open the full sliding door to bring in the amazing Tarpon Bay view inside was when we knew we came to the right place. The impeccable service provide by Lourdes Collado makes you think you are staying at a 5 star Hotel. If you want a place where you can chill and leave the busy San Pedro side behind then this is the place. Can't wait to come back
If you are looking for a relaxing retreat, this is the perfect spot. The house is well equiped from the kitchen to the towels in the bathrooms. And if you don't feel like using the kitchen, there is a boutique hotel next door with a resturant that serves breakfast, lunch and dinner that will welcome you with open arms.
Check in and check out was convenient and easy. JC, Eva and Ana fulfilled every request and answered any questions we had before and during our stay.
We will be back!
Getting to the property from the local dock or airport in downtown San Pedro is a long bumpy ride in a golf cart which is the local preferred form of transport. But once there you have peace and quiet and a great house. A couple good local restaurants not too far down the road. The black orchid and someplace else. The lonely planet recommends hidden treasure. But it is over priced and poor service. Also liked cool beans cafe at the San Pedro dock
Took a tour snorkeling on the reef and a catamaran cruise plus a day trip to the Mayan ruins All very good
Waterfront property. Huge deck with doors that open the length of the living room and master bedroom. Water and laundry machine and dryer were very much appreciated. A previous review mentioned a neighbourâs dog but maybe that was a one off because we never saw it. The hotel next door is convenient if you don't want to drive and itâs not noisy. Eva, Julio, and Jessica were super helpful and responsive.
We also enjoyed the short golf cart ride to establishments such as Black Orchid and D&D golf as well!
The house was fabulous! It was luxurious, very clean, and had everything we needed for our stay. And the view of the water and relaxing covered patio were simply amazing! The house was perfect for our two couples. The property management team was also very kind and helpful in making our stay a wonderful experience.
The property is located about 25-minutes from the airport and the heart of San Pedro by golf cart. The roads south of town were rough but they were graded shortly after we arrived, which helped tremendously. There are several great restaurants and a convenience store nearby. The beautiful house and amazing property make the short drive (and potentially bumpy roads) worth it.

Cannot swim in water
All they said is true. It is what they did not disclose that we had an issue with. We booked for five night and only stayed for one night then left. We wanted beach sunbathing and swimming could not do that there
Located at the far end of the south side of the island 30 min. By golf cart. Property was nice. You can't swim here at all. Located next to a boutique hotel (good food) large dog that runs free. Lost my breakfast the first morning. Couldn't use the patio while we were there (great dane) then the setting i was hopeful for its no longer there. Rooms were nice. Great for staying in. Wonderful for peace and quiet. Eva & Juan were great. Took very good care of us. Even helped us get back to the water taxi the day off check out because of the rain. Was apleasant stay.
Overall, we enjoyed our time at the house. There was some miscommunication when we were first told the house was ready and then we got there and there was a country-wide power outage. No one's fault of course, but made for a hot entrance. We had also been told we had two jugs of water waiting for us but they weren't there. The property manager quickly brought us some. I was also very disappointed that the hammock that is shown in several pictures and mentioned in the property description is not there. I was really looking forward to it after a long Midwest winter. The hammock is there but hooks are rusted out and it's obvious it hasn't been used for quite awhile. The property is also quite a ways from San Pedro which was ok for us, but might make a difference to some people. Four miles in a golf cart on roads with potholes is a long ways! The saving grace is the boutique hotel next door which had a wonderful staff and restaurant. We also enjoyed the Blue Orchid restaurant that wasn't too far. The little pool is smaller than it looks in the picture and is more of a plunge pool but it was fine. We didn't realize we were in an area protected by the barrier reef so we weren't really looking at an ocean with waves coming in, more of a bay. We took the ferry to the island, but flew back and were very glad we did. The ferry is small with no restroom or bar and bounces along at 50 mph which was really rough. The bed was very comfortable, water pressure good, but the sofa is tired.
We had an unbelizeable time at the Jackson's Paradiso, everything was amazing and clean. The view of the water and the nice breeze off the water was great after a hot day. Having the Playa del Sala right next door for drinks and dinner was definitely a plus. I would most definitely recommend this place!
I would like to mention that the water view is pretty amazing but it needs to be noted that the beach isn't really a walk in and swim beach. You can swim off the dock but the bottom is a little weedy and not the best. To us that wasn't the biggest deal but it may be to some. Maybe a new coffee maker too (it leaked a bit).
You don't have to go all the way into town to eat, there are some pretty amazing spots before you go there so don't be afraid of to try any of them.
Excellent property. Away from the hustle and bustle. At night you do travel on dirt roads without lights, however it was very safe. Property manager was accessible and helpful. The beach in front of the property was not the best, however it was good enough to wade in. Overall highly recommend and would stay again
The property was a dream. We arrived early and they checked us in ahead of time, had the golf cart rental contact meet us in baggage claim and gave us detailed information on all the island had to offer. Ana and Eva (and her husband) were amazing! We loved every minute of our stay and will be back next year with our paddle boards and family!
This property was amazing we didnât want to leave! It is exactly as described! Eva was amazing and made sure everything we needed we had! The house was clean and we loved being out in the country with a gold cart itâs about 15-20 minute drive to town. Have an amazing restaurant next door and the house has a beautiful porch to enjoy the ocean breezes!
Awesome spot, gorgeous and comfortable home in South San Pedro. Eva, the property manager, was super sweet, available, and able to help with local contacts and excursions. About 20 min golf cart ride to downtown. Delicious restaurant and cocktails at Playa de Sala resort next door. Only downside was issues with the hot water- Eva did her best to help- we had a work around but it just wasnât ideal. Overall we had a wonderful experience!
Overall this place is 100% the best bang for your buck! Located about 20-30 minutes by golf cart to San Pedro (about 4 miles). We loved being outside of party central of San Pedro. Hotel next door has a great roof top bar and amazing Chef! Ate there multiple times. Loved my early morning coffee on the porch where Iâd have a visitor named Spartacus (dog who lives at the hotel next door) that came to say hello! The owners of the hotel generously allowed us to enjoy all their amenities, pool, fished off their dock, and outdoor furniture. Hands down great experience and we will absolutely be back!

Before I go on, I have to praise Eva as she went above and beyond to make sure that we felt at home. She did an amazing job answering questions and communicating information overall. She helped coordinate various excursions and events for us. She's literally awesome! The house was amazing, 2 bedrooms with king sized beds. You open up to the master bedroom using a sliding barn door, the bed is super comfortable and there's a private bathroom. The view of the sea from the bedroom was breathtaking and never got old throughout our stay. Speaking of views, the view from the living room was just as breathtaking. There's a TV in the living room with Netflix, Hulu etc. There were some minor things but nothing significant at all. There's a nearby boutique hotel where you could grab breakfast, lunch and dinner from. Golf carts are the preferred method of transportation and you'll see why when you go. The drive into town isn't bad at all and we went to multiple local bars and restaurants. Overall we loved this location and we can't wait to come back!

The home is very well kept and super clean. Eva is the house manager and goes above and beyond to make everything perfect. She checked on us daily and even put us in contact with others we needed to see.
Already planning our next trip back and will stay here again.
In addition to the responsive (and patient!) owner, the house itself is really lovely. There's a wall of windows opening out to the shore, and an enormous deck to sit and watch the water.
It was a wonderful home to stay in, and if we find ourselves back this way it would be a first pick to stay in again!
The house is beautiful and has large accordion style doors that open up the main room and the master bedroom towards the lagoon.
The food at PlayadeSala was wonderful and everyone on the staff was friendly and helpful. We will definitely stay here again. If you are looking for someplace away from the hustle and bustle of town this is where you want to stay.
If you want to be in the middle of everything this place isn't for you. If you want to get away from town, relax and feel safe, stay here. Eva is your contact at the house and was extremely nice and helpful. The place is just what it says it is and has everything you need. The beds are very comfortable and the place is clean. It is a must to have a golf cart being this far for town. The neighbors are very and have great food at Playa de Sala.
