Perfect Outer Banks s'Ă©vade pour que votre famille profite de tout ce que la plage offre. La maison est situĂ©e sur North Virginia Dare Trail Ă  Kitty Hawk au poteau marqueur de 2,5 milles. Vous pourrez profiter de la vue depuis le grand porche grillagĂ© avec une balançoire pour vous dĂ©tendre ou la grande terrasse pour attraper quelques rayons! Beau plan d'Ă©tage divisĂ© avec 2 chambres avant qui ouvrent directement sur le porche grillagĂ©. Les deux chambres Ă  l'avant partagent une salle de bain et les 2 BR Ă  l'arriĂšre partagent l'autre salle de bain. Le salon central dispose de nombreux siĂšges pour que tout le monde puisse regarder confortablement la tĂ©lĂ©vision ou jouer Ă  des jeux. Chaque chambre dispose de sa propre tĂ©lĂ©vision par cĂąble. A Ă©galement accĂšs Ă  Internet et jeux vidĂ©o WII, livres et DVD. We loved our stay over the Thanksgiving holiday long-weekend! We had a group of 8 ages 4-86 and we all loved this home so much! Host was super easy to contact/communicate with and this home had everything we could have needed in the kitchen to prepare Thanksgiving meal! We will definitely be back!

Christine and Paul are wonderful hosts and their home is perfect for multiple family members, children and pets. The weather at the beginning of the week was not great, but we still enjoyed our family time. Our granddaughter LOVED the upper deck crow’s nest. Weather improved as the week went on and my husband caught enough fish for dinner. Life is good at the beach! Thank you for your hospitality. #blessed

Awesome Vacation

My family and I really enjoyed our stay at Shifting Tides. The proximity to the beach was great and having all the beach supplies there so we didnt have to pack all that too was awesome. We also really enjoyed all the different areas of the house to hang out in , especially the tiki bar area. The hosts were very quick at getting back to us with any questions or concerns we had.

Oceanview cottage

Beautiful cottage just steps from the ocean. Cottage is located across the street from beach access. This home is very clean, cozy and comfy. All beds were comfortable and provided privacy for all family members. The screened in porch was perfect for morning coffee and the top deck provided a partial view of sunset. Theres a tiki bar with stools, lights and a dart board. The owner thought of everything a family might need for their stay: beach chairs, umbrella, etc. They provided board games and movies. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a comfortable relaxing vacation!!! Loved it and hope to return one day.

Always love staying at the cottage. The only problem we have is that we don't know how to use the tv even though we followed the directions that were left. We are an older group and just couldn't figure it out. Christine tried her best to help. We had a great time without it but we like to watch the news. The dogs loved it as usual.

Thanksgiving trip #2

Great trip and such a great house for us and our two fur babies! This was our second time back during Thanksgiving week and we had a relaxing trip. House is set up perfectly. The only thing is pics should be updated to show all the improvements to floors and yard etc. we hope to go back soon!

Perfect Location / Beautiful Beach

Quiet location that is both kid and pet-friendly. The house has many kitchen amenities, games, videos, beach toys, and dog supplies.  The house is only minutes from restaurants, shopping, and ice cream.  The beach access is about 1/2 a block from the driveway. The beach was beautiful.  All the supplies (chairs, carts, toys, umbrellas) you need for a beach day are available at the house.  The outdoor shower was very convenient after a day at the beach.  We loved the extra space of the screened porch and tiki area.  We had great sunrise views from the screened porch.  The views from the upper deck were also fantastic, especially the night sky. We had excellent communication with the hosts. They were accommodating, informative, and incredibly kind. We loved our stay and look forward to another.

Fantastic Dog Friendly Vacation Spot

We had a fantastic stay at this Kitty Hawk vacation rental! The house was spotless upon arrival and featured thoughtful touches like local recommendations and tips that made settling in a breeze. The kitchen was well-equipped with dishes, utensils, and spices, and we appreciated the various sizes of dog crates and beach gear available. The layout, with two bedrooms and one bathroom on each side of the house, provided great privacy and comfort. The spacious backyard and tiki bar were perfect for our dogs and for relaxing mornings. The owners were proactive and responsive, ensuring a smooth check-in process. We’re already looking forward to renting again in 2025!

Awesome house and location!

This house is clean and spacious and across the street is the beach. We love the screen porch, plenty of games and under the house great place to gather with the Tiki Tiki bar, darts, cornhole boards... The yard is fenced in for your pets, which is awesome!!. The owner is very responsive and kind. Our family loves this home and will be returning for our 4th year.

Great stay, great location.

We had a great stay and the property was expected, close walk to the beach and everything is within 10 minutes. We had our dogs and the yard was great, except some prickers that got stuck on my dogs multiple times, I would recommend to have someone do a better job on the landscape to make it more dog friendly, hopefully they can get this fixed and then I would have no issues. Overall great pick and would book again if the yard is cleaned up a bit. Easy check in and very clean property.

Shifting Tides

We have stayed at this location for several years. We love the location, just a short walk to the beach. We spend most of our evenings in the screen in porch and the down stairs “tiki area”. There is a large fenced in area for your 4 legged family members.

Cute Comfy Beach Cottage

This home was a delight to stay in. The location was perfect, so close to beach and walkable ice cream and restaurant just down the street. All the things we needed were in the house, movies, books, games, beach gear, baby gear, dog gear, cooking supllies... - just remembered to bring linens and towels, paper towels, and extra TP! Its small but perfectly formed with enough seating in the living room for us all to gather and it has wonderful underhouse hang out space and porch space. Great beach cottage!

We have 4 grown children and 5 grandchildren ranging from age 7 to 22.

We love both the beach and the Blue Ridge mountains where we live full-time. We love country music and try to go dancing at least one night every weekend. We like to visit with family and friends and go on motorcycle rides as time permits. Paul does a little farming. He has 15 angus cows, 1 bull and a number of calves depending on time of year. I recently retired from the workforce after working for a defense contractor for the last 23 years.

We have two dogs. Bonnie is a 14 1/2 shih tzu and Ellie is a heeler/collie mix. Ellie helps to control our ground hog population.

We have been going to the OBX for more than 20 years and feel very fortunate that we were able to purchase this property in December 2019. We have been updating and putting our personal touches on the home since we purchased it.

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

We have been enjoying the beaches in OBX for more than 20 years. Many of those years have been in the same Kitty Hawk area. When this home became available we jumped on it without even seeing it. This location is perfect for us. Easy access to and from 158. Our cottage is located around the 2.5 mile marker on N. Virginia Dare Trail.

It is the perfect location and size for our family. It is large enough to accommodate 10 people comfortably with 4 bedrooms - 3 queen size beds and 1 twin over full bunk bed with a pull out twin bed, 2 full bathrooms and a outdoor shower, a screened porch with access directly from two front bedrooms or from side deck, upper deck for sunbathing/ocean views and patio/deck area out back where a breeze is always blowing. Perfect location right across the road from the beach and great views. Beach access is only about 350 feet away at the Bennett Road crosswalk.

Close to everything you may need including grocery stores, restaurants, family entertainment including movies, putt-putt golf, Wright Brothers Museum, Corolla Wild Mustangs, outlet stores, water parks, etc. If you are on the adventurous side, you can book deep sea fishing trips, offshore/onshore fishing and a nice boat tour to see the dolphins in Manteo.

Screened in front porch with bar height stools so you can see see the ocean, people watch or just relax under the ceiling fan. Located in a nice family area. No motels/hotels close by.

Upper deck for exceptional beach views and stunning sunsets. Easy, walking distance to public beach access (5th house from access). Under the house, there is a ground level deck which has a nice breeze with chairs, ceiling fan, tiki bar, picnic table, park-like grill, and outside shower. Fenced in backyard for relaxing on the back patio, sitting on the swing while enjoying the nice breeze. Dart board under the house and full size cornhole boards available with a spotlight on the back yard to play after dark.

(Just watch out for sandburs and/or cacti which are native to the area and difficult to control.)

We manage our property ourselves with the help of a great team of locals who we count on to clean our home and make necessary repairs that need attention before we are able to come down and take care of it ourselves. We met these two wonderful people because of an unfortunate accident the week before our first guest was to arrive. They have been a true blessing to us. If there is a problem that they can't handle, they have put us in touch with someone who can. We can't tell you have much they have helped us since 2020.

We pride ourselves on being very hands on and responsive. We want our guests to have a wonderful experience in our home so they come back year after year.
