Casa Mar Azul or House on Blue Sea

Casa en el Mar Azul is a two bedroom, single bath waterfront apartment that can comfortably sleep up to 4 Adults! One of the bedrooms contains a Queen Sized Bed, while the other contains 2 Doubles. This is a perfect configuration when it turns out that you unexpectedly have additional friends joining you for your vacation on Utila, which in our experience, happens pretty frequently.

Ample built in closet space means everyone will have plenty of room to store their luggage, be it T-shirts and shorts, or even extensive dive gear. These bedrooms are surprisingly large and no one will ever feel like they're cramped into a hotel room at Casa Mar Azul.

The bath is upscale, and has everything you expect in a luxury beachfront apartment, including lush Turkish bath towels. From the custom memory foam mattresses draped with Egyptian long staple linens and topped with luxury pillows to the provided soaps, body wash, shampoo & conditioner; we strive to make your visit with us as comfortable as you would find anywhere.

The living area has ample natural light for reading or reviewing your latest underwater videos ~ or pull the curtains and lounge on the custom built memory foam sofa/lounger whilst you catch up on the latest goings on in the world via the Internet connected television, or simply be mesmerized by watching the Caribbean through the panoramic windows as it laps the shore just steps from your private porch.

Utila is famous for the Caribbean reefs that we have, and you'll find one right in front of this luxury apartment. You can literally walk into the sea and snorkel to it, or don your dive gear and enjoy it from the depths. This is an upscale beachfront home built by a true aficionado of the underwater world and diving and snorkeling are superb at Casa Mar Azul. This luxury apartment is your chance to share his world and dive his sites!

With our high-tech insect repelling system activated it is lovely at any time to sit outside on the picnic table for al fresco dining, snacks and cocktails or simply loll about in the hammock and enjoy the breezes and the view. If it gets too warm for your liking you can just step back into your private, air conditioned home-away-from-home and relax, read a book, or just watch a movie in comfort.

Casa Mar Azul is easily accessible to town with a short walk or an even shorter tuk-tuk ride. Did you notice the big red double door gated entry? You can't miss it! It provides both privacy when you want it, and an easy reference point should you want to have guests over for dinner ~
