Family Ice Fishing trip

This was my 3 year staying here. The house is wonderful and convenient to get to the lake and ice fish. Had another successful year fishing Lake Wissota, caught a really nice walleye at 23.5 inches. Brought home plenty of fish. Will definitely plan on staying here again!!! Thank you Tami, I appreciate your rapid response to any questions we had!

Sisters at the lake

Charming, clean, comfortable, with a large deck for gatherings and a great view of the lake. Well appointed kitchen, lots of comfy sleeping spaces. All around a wonderful home away from home.

Wonderful

Tami was so accommodating and welcoming. We had 5 adults and it was very comfortable for all of us. We were able to dock both of our boats which was a huge plus. A basket of snacks welcomed us which was appreciated (especially the popcorn). Beautiful view from the upper and lower levels. We are excited to come back Memorial weekend 2025

Tami's home on Lake Wissota was a great place for my adult kids, two grand kids (1 & 3) myself and my dogs. Beautiful setting on the water and plenty placing to set outside and inside to gather. Nice neighborhood as well. Thanks:)

Wonderful

We just got back from our family getaway at this cabin. We had a fabulous time ! It has everything you need for a relaxing and enjoyable stay. Beautiful lake views, 2 balconies, updated bathrooms and kitchen. It was very clean. Kids enjoyed the kayaks and games, They also have dedicated dock if you’re bringing your own boat. Will definitely stay again.

Lakeside gem

Really wonderful, cozy place that strikes just the right balance between attractive & comfortable. Pictures DO NOT do this place justice. Full bath & 2 bedrooms upstairs: 1 with the bunk beds & another one with a queen, which has a glorious view of lake from bed. The spacious king downstairs is very nice & has en suite bath & great view. 2 decks are AWESOME--tables, chairs, even a bar. Great lakefront: a bit steep but has stairs & railing. Great swimming & kayaking--a few stairs from dock to sand bottom. 30-ft dock had good depth to tie up our 19-ft Searay 185 boat. Quiet street with friendly neighbors but not too close--one side is entirely trees, & there are green space & trees directly across the street. The lake is a great size and depth, no icky vegetation that we saw, and lots of excellent places to stop for food & drinks. Home is on the small Lake Wissota side, but it's plenty big for lots of fun; to get to the big part of the lake, you need to pass under two low-lying bridges--we made it by about 10 inches, but a pontoon or taller boat wouldn't. Really nice boat launch about a mile away. We were there over the 4th of July, but neither the lake nor the neighborhood were crowded, just pleasantly active, Views from the home are amazing--the many windows just make it a constantly wonderful feeling to be in the home. Tami & Jeff were great hosts, & went the extra mile to help us with custom requests. Already planning our return!

Serenity at the Lake

This was a fabulous little cottage on the lake. We didn’t want to leave yet. The weather was perfect. We went to Wisconsin for our daughter’s wedding which was beautiful. I hope we get to visit again someday.

Beautiful home!

Thus home is perfectly located in a quite neighborhood with stunning lake views, and is still close to town and highways. The home was clean, comfortable, well stocked and had little details throughout the home that made our stay perfect. I would highly recommend this property, and would stay again if we get back to the area.

Perfect Little Lakeside Oasis!

We were so fortunate to have found Tami's cute place for the Eau Claire Marathon weekend! This place had everything we needed- stocked kitchen, bathroom essentials, and even a little snack basket! The beds were comfortable (our kids loved the bunk beds!), plenty of extra soft blankets, and everything super clean. It was a rainy and windy April weekend so didn't get a chance to enjoy outside much but we LOVED having such great views of the lake from the living room and bedroom. Just gorgeous! With the marathon weekend we also really appreciated her flexibility with check-in and check-out times! This place is a real gem and we already want to go back in the summer or fall when the weather is a little nicer to enjoy the patio and lake :)

Excellent place to stay!

The house is small but big! Beautiful views! We loved the rooms. Double story deck looking over the water. Dock and kayaks/paddleboard. Lots of beauty to take in. Beds are very comfortable. Basic rules, basic expectations of renting someone elses home. Owners are great communicators and easy to work with. Appreciate you very much! I'll be back! Thank you!

Hockey Trip

Came to town over Easter weekend to watch our son play hockey. We found the kitchen very well stocked with appliances, utensils and cookware for an Easter dinner. The view from the house and deck was amazing. The property provided a very relaxing setting for a family get together. The kitchen and bathrooms have been updated and the bedrooms very comfortable and clean.

Family time

The host was amazing with communication. The bathroom downstairs was just remodeled, it was great! The view was amazing! The house was very clean, and perfect for family time. We definitely would love to come back and stay again.

Unexpected

It's a beautiful location.... We were under the impression it was a two full bath place with a master bedroom with king bed... In which technically it is.... What we did not know is the master bedroom with the full bathroom was in steps to basement that were step...(as I have a compression fracture, and here to get surgery) so I went along with it. Then after check noticed the toilet was rocky in lower bathroom, so we thought we would use just upstairs... (Owners did state while check in the area in process of checkin going to be next project)... Wasn't really helpful for us, as we traveled from Texas. Well we thought ok, we will just move on and enjoy one bathroom and get ready for surgery after visit with grandchildren. That night we slept in lower level freezer had to wear clothes to sleep. So in morning we moved upstairs and shared the bathroom... As the second night I went to do laundry and heard bubbling in the wobbly toilet and (lower water pressure the day before, just thought of old pipes) well a bit later I went down to check and it was flooding the shower stuff was coming out of the drain of lint where the water comes from...so I quickly got towels and removed rugs to get it from further going into master bedroom to what else... I went to get my husband and we thought pipes froze? It was stated in the check in book there was huge damage to septic because of something and be careful.. so we were... So after we got leak to stop...by now we just wanted to leave....

My husband and I purchased this home Nov 2019 from the estate of a man whom had fled Holland from the Nazis. He was very loved in this neighborhood. We fell in love with the views and location. We are continuously working hard to updated this home for us all to enjoy. We hope to possibly retire there one day. Jeff & I grew up in the area and have been married & part of this community for over 30 years.

We fell in love with the views and location. It is also minutes from our home so we can assist if any issues or concerns arise.

Quels sont les atouts de cet hébergement ?

Simple and clean but very enjoyable. Also Upper & Lower levels both have their own decks overlooking beautiful Lake Wissota, their own kitchen, bathroom, living room and bedroom areas. If you want privacy while staying with others you can stay in the lower level and visit others in the upper level when convenient. You also have your own side of the dock to use kayaks, paddleboat & dock your boat, other side is reserved for owner.
