Situé juste à côté du port de plaisance / restaurant principal, Casa Clare propose quatre chambres confortables et pratiques avec deux chambres, un barbecue traditionnel, un grand patio et une terrasse sur le toit offrant une vue imprenable sur la marina jusqu'à Lagos.

Avec un climat méditerranéen d'étés chauds et secs et des hivers doux, les températures estivales sont élevées, mais modérées par la brise marine. On dit que l'Algarve a l'un des meilleurs climats de l'année en Europe.

Alvor, dans l'ouest de l'Algarve témoigne de cela! Il est parfaitement situé, proche de la mer et de la campagne, c'est la destination idéale pour ceux qui recherchent des vacances polyvalentes. Alvor est à 50 minutes en voiture de l'aéroport de Faro.

La vie du village est agréable, vous pouvez vous promener au marché ou à la boulangerie le matin et acheter vos fruits frais, du poisson et du pain et passer vos après-midi à vous détendre sur la plage. Pour les plus sportifs, il y a du golf, de l'équitation, des sports nautiques et un large choix d'excursions (terrestres et maritimes, toutes disponibles à moins de 100 mètres de Casa Clare).

Les étapes immédiatement à l'extérieur Casa Clare sur Rua dos Pescadores mènent à la zone de restaurant principal / marina. Alvor dispose de 115 restaurants et Casa Clare est à peu près à égale distance du top (actuel) 4 sur Trip Advisor.

Notre cuisine entièrement équipée fera plaisir à cuisiner à la maison et si la météo le justifie, la salle à manger dans le salon permet de manger confortablement à l'intérieur

Cette chambre dispose également de deux grands canapés italiens avec des tabourets assortis. L'unité de divertissement abritant une télévision intelligente de 50 pouces avec Netflix et Chromecast, des livres et des jeux et un poêle à bois autonome crée une atmosphère chaleureuse et accueillante lors de la rare journée fraîche ou d'une nuit fraîche. Bien sûr, il y a l'air conditionné! Il y a le wifi dans toute la maison et les zones en terrasse.

Mais qui veut être à l'intérieur? Manger à la maison est une telle joie ...... .le parfum aromatique des herbes fraîches, couplé avec le grésillement du poisson frais ou de la viande sur le charbon de bois est appétissant à tout moment de la journée!

Le petit déjeuner à l'extérieur sur le patio est très spécial avec le chant des oiseaux joyeux et les bruits faibles des pêcheurs qui reviennent avec leur prise tard le soir ou tôt le matin!

Il n'y a pas besoin d'une horloge ici, les cloches de l'église locale sonnent dans les heures et les singeries animées et les appels des mouettes annoncent les repas!

Les Sundowners sur le toit au son du vent soufflant à travers les gréements et les drisses des voiliers de la marina, la lumière déclinante «à travers des nuages sombres, une rose rouge lorgnant et une lueur ambrée», calme le jour dans la nuit. (* Afanasy Afanasyevich Fet)

La chambre principale à l'arrière de la propriété est en-suite (douche et WC); Il dispose de la climatisation, d'un ventilateur électrique et de la télévision par satellite. Il y a beaucoup de rangement dans l'armoire, deux casiers de chevet et une coiffeuse.

La deuxième chambre à l'avant de la maison a également des lits jumeaux, une grande armoire, des casiers de chevet, une unité de vanité et sous le stockage de la fenêtre

Il y a un ventilateur électrique et un PC Windows 10 pour les invités et une douche séparée pour les invités et des toilettes. Tous les lits sont faits de luxueux draps en coton égyptien et des serviettes de toilette en coton égyptien sont également fournies.

Les deux salles de douche ont des systèmes d'extraction et des porte-serviettes chauffants. Les deux chambres ont un sèche-cheveux et des ventilateurs chauds et froids.

Il y a un grand coffre-fort (peut contenir 2 ordinateurs portables) dans le salon

Adéquation: Casa Clare est le mieux adapté pour les adultes responsables en raison des sols carrelés et classés, plusieurs marches et une terrasse haute. Il peut ne pas convenir aux personnes très âgées ou infirmes. Ce n'est pas adapté aux fauteuils roulants.

Il est interdit de fumer dans la maison et les animaux domestiques ne sont pas autorisés.

Casa Clare est sur une rue piétonne seulement. Il y a un parking gratuit dans la rue à Alvor (50 à 100 mètres de la propriété).

Very nice property

This cottage is in the centre of the village within easy walking distance of beach, shops and restaurants. It is very well equipped with everything you need ( and more) . We would stay there again if available

Comfy, cozy Casa in great Location

My husband and I just came home from a wonderful stay at Casa Clare. Check in with Lynzi went smoothly and we were pleasantly surprised by the welcome package including a lovely bottle of port, some wine and a few groceries. The house is in a great location near the marina with many restaurants in the area. Since we were there for several months, we also greatly appreciated having a local butcher shop and several grocery stores within easy walking distance. The house itself is very well stocked with all the dishes, pots & pans etc. that anyone needs to prepare lovely meals at home. We had a fair amount of rain during our stay so we really appreciated the large supply of books and the many available TV channels & a Netflix subscription. When the weather was good, the roof top terrace was a fantastic spot to lounge in the sun, enjoy the views of the marina or enjoy a spectacular sunset. We found Zoe and Gervase to be wonderful hosts. They were very quick both to answer any questions we had regarding the property and to solve any of the minor issues that occurred. We want to thank them for providing such a lovely home to enjoy. Stay at Casa Clare

We had a wonderful time with family at Casa Clare. Nice touches of leaving milk and water for us and we could use beach towels and cool boxes for the beach. Proximity to the main restaurant area is just round the corner, yet quiet at night. Outdoor area was superb too. Would stay again.

Everything was exactly as promised. A great location and both the rooftop and garden patios were great outdoor spaces. Kitchen is well equipped although we did have most meals at one of the many great restaurants.

CASA CLARE ALVOR

Property was excellent - comfortable and well equipped and well positioned for restaurants etc which were just one street back. Alvor itself it a pretty resort with marina, sandy beaches and a boardwalk going in various directions close to the beach which is excellent for walkers. Alvor is in striking distance of lots of interesting places to visit. Would recommend for a super holiday.

Comfortable house, perfectly situated

We had a great 10 days in this comfortable and well-equipped little house in the heart of old Alvor. The beds are very comfortable and the house has everything you’d need for a holiday. The house is literally a couple of minutes’ walk from Alvor’s best restaurants and 15 minutes walk from the beautiful beach. Lorna, the local representative couldn’t have been more helpful- and the same was true of the owners. We definitely plan to return one day.

Comfortable, beautifully located house in small town

This comfortable house with all necessary amenities,including wifi and a clothes dryer as well as attractive outdoor space, was perfect for a month's stay for my husband and myself. It was easy to get around town on foot and pleasant to be among Portuguese neighbors who were always friendly. We rented a car which we parked at the marina. In February it was no problem to find a space nearby. The host was always responsive to email. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Casa Clare.

Short stay in Alvor

We loved Casa Clare. The house is just perfect, right in the centre of beautiful Alvor on a lovely quiet and traditional street but only steps away from the harbour and Main Street with all the bars and restaurants. What really makes the space really special is the outdoor space. We enjoyed having our breakfast and pre-dinner drinks on the roof terrace, and we also made use of the BBQ and dining area outside. We will definitely be back to Alvor and I just hope this fab little place is available when we do! Thank you for a lovely stay

A true gem . loved this house

Charm, convenience and comfort! Loved this house - our second time to come back and once again didn’t disappoint. The owners clearly care about their guests as the attention to detail is second to none . Great not to have to hire a car as everything is within walking distance - restaurants and bars and the beautiful beach. Will definitely come back to Casa Clare! Thanks again!

Great location

Alvor is quite central for exploring the Algarve, while being quiet and laidback. The property is as described. It's even more central in Alvor than we initially realized - many, many restaurants, cafes, shops, and bars are within a block or two. The house is comfortable. We appreciated use of the washer & dryer. Communication with the owners was clear and prompt. Would recommend for a group of 2-4.

Very pleasant comfortable stay

The house came as advertised. It had absolutely everything you could need with the kitchen fully stocked, living room with TV, books, umbrellas, beach towels, washing products, literally everything. Apartment is 2 steps away from the main restaurant street with about 2 dozen restaurant choices, supermarket, etc. The host asked to check in before 6pm to avoid extra charge, but that’s only thing that might be an issue for some. Overall highly recommended.

Perfect Portugal Haven

What a good week we had in Casa Clare! Everything, from the comfort of the beds, the well stocked kitchen, the gift of the glorious Port, the bottle of wine, the perfect outside area, and a clothes washer! all was perfect. We thoroughly enjoyed meeting our neighbour Rosa, loved exploring the little winding cobblestone streets, walking the boardwalk, and trying different restaurants. Thank you to our “greeters” and to Zoe and Gervase (sp.). We would love to return one day.

A lovely renovated fisherman’s cottage in the perfect location for all the facilities in Alvor.

The property was very well equipped and as we were in the second month of a winter break the washing machine was well used! The earl part of our month was especially sunny and the roof terrace gave an opportunity for afternoon sunbathing out of any wind. Having the restaurants so close meant very little use made of the excellent kitchen facilities apart from breakfasts. Congratulations to the owners for every help given by way of information and advice - we really enjoyed our stay. Thank you Ejner Knudsen

Perfect location

We spent 6 nights at Casa Clare and had a wonderful time! As advertised it is in the middle of the action but far enough away not to be bothered by the noise and energy of the evening activities. The house was so comfortable and equipped with everything you could need or imagine. It felt like a home away from home. We had a few perfect beach days and many delicious meals; joined a kayak tour from Portimao to tour the caves! We enjoyed cooking “ at home” a few nights and dined on the back patio. We toasted the sunset from the upper deck. Alvor is a lovely town, still quaint and not over run by tourism . Would highly recommend staying here P.S- the bed in main bedroom was extremely comfortable with high quality bedding.

Perfect location. Everything you need.

Casa Clare is the best stocked Airbnb we have ever been in. I almost felt like cooking just to use the spices and such in the kitchen cupboard. Packing a picnic was a breeze thanks to plastic containers, an insulated backpack, plastic wrap, and freezer packs. Location also can’t be beat — quiet but close to everything. We loved the town of Alvor too— not too small or too big. Only negative is that the main room could use better lighting and the matresses in the large bedroom are a little soft. But the back patio and rooftop terrace alone more than make up for these minor dings. Host also very responsive. Highly recommend.

Great Place for a Holiday!

Great location- half a mile to beach, 100 metres to restaurants,supermarket, daily fruit and fish market. House fully equipped with television, 2 good shower rooms, excellent kitchen with oven, hob and fridge freezer. Kitchen well stocked with pots, pans and utensils. And cupboards had stock of salt pepper, herbs and spices which all helped in cooking on the outside BBQ. Good outside space to eat or lie or sit in the sun. No car necessary as everything you need is at hand. Despite its proximity to the restaurants it was still peaceful at night even when the restaurants were busy. Air conditioning as well though house was cool enough without it.

Highly recommended

Casa Clare is perfect. It is located in the best spot in Alvor, being on a pedestrianised street one road away from the Estuary and just back from the main road which has restaurants and bars to suit all tastes. The property is extremely comfortable and exceptionally well equipped. We wanted for nothing. The beds were supremely comfy and we slept very well. The air con is efficient and kept us lovely and cool. The gardens were delightful and the views from the terrace stunning! There was nothing at all to fault. I would not hesitate to return and most highly recommend. I should add that the property represents excellent value for money and the owners were a delight to work with.

Lovely week in Alvor

Casa Clare is exactly as described.It is in the centre but being one street back from the main street it is not affected by noise from the many bars and restaurants. Yes there is some noise from the chickens and roosters from the neighbours but this didn't affect our enjoyment.The house was clean and very comfortable.As a couple we only used the main bedroom which is at the back of the house. There was always plenty of hot water. There was everything provided that you need for a very enjoyable holiday plus many additional items such as shampoo and shower gels. A welcome pack of water, milk , tea, wine etc was provided. The WIFI was great and the smart TV worked well.. We would definitely stay again.

The Perfect Holiday Property

We first stayed at Casa Clare four years ago and left a glowing review. Nothing has changed and having read the comments of other guests, which are universally complimentary, it is hard to find something original to add! We have stayed in many rental properties and this is right up there as one of the very best in every single department. The owners are extremely pleasant and communicate most professionally and promptly. The check in process was friendly and very welcoming accompanied by a generous 'welcome pack' of essentials plus wine! To be honest, we have never stayed in a holiday rental that is so comprehensively equipped with absolutely anything and everything you could possibly need - and that includes our own! It is a real home from home. It is situated in the heart of the charming fishing village of Alvor which has an abundance of restaurants to suit all tastes, a delightful coastal boardwalk and is a most peaceful and charming haven. We would like to thank Zoe and Gervase, the owners, for providing such a perfect holiday property and we shall most certainly return.

The perfect spot in the perfect place

The property is located just one street away from the main area of Alvor with its bars and restaurants. The house has everything you need: large TV with a host of UK channels. The kitchen is very well equipped with ample crockery, cutlery, hob and a large fridge freezer. The main bedroom has an ensuite shower room and a very comfortable double bed and air con. The front bedroom has 2 single beds with a fan instead of aircon. The garden area has a table we used every day. The roof terrace has space for 2 sun loungers and is very much a suntrap. It's slightly overlooked but nothing intrusive. We were very well looked after by Lorna who kept in touch with us throughout our stay - she's lovely. The owners Zoe and Gervase also looked after us very well with great communication prior to our arrival and throughout our stay. We had a small issue with the washing machine that was promptly resolved by Zoe and Lorna. The only areas of improvement that we would suggest is that the air con system be upgraded with an additional unit in the front bedroom. We also think the kitchen and storage areas/drawers could benefit from being cleared as there are a lot of items there that have built up over many stays. We have stayed in a number of properties in Alvor since 1997 but Casa Claire allowed us to have one of the best, most relaxing holidays we've ever had. We enjoyed the sun during the day and the town at night with everything an easy stroll away and would recommend it to anyone!

Lovely stay at Casa Clare, again!

Our second visit to Casa Clare, which is so well located for all the lovely restaurants in Alvor - a few minutes walk. The house is clean, comfortable, and with all facilities you could need. We also enjoyed the shaded garden and roof terrace. We hope to return!

Although property is a bit rundown, it was clean and appliances were functional. The apartment and location did not meet our expectations, but that is on us.

Casa Clare is situated in what we believe is the best location in Alvor. Its close to superb restaurants and the marina, close (but not too close) to the pubs and night-life. The garden and roof terrace are a delight, a private haven so conveniently located

Quels sont les atouts de cet hébergement ?

Casa Clare is on a pedestrian only street and away from the usual tourist accommodation but (a very short) walking distance from all the essential facilities including a superb range of restaurants. The neighbours are for the most part Portuguese, and are very welcoming.
