Everything was perfect. We celebrated my husbandâs 60th birthday with whole family (13 persons) ages from 2 to 61.Only dishwasher was problematic. It didnât wash well. The host tried to fix it once but it didnât helps.
We were a group of 12, we all had our own bedroom and bathroom, which was really great. The grocery store is nearby. The house is great for small children, spacious and authentic. We walked to Victoria, it's a 15-20 min walk. Our host was really kind and helpful. She helped us with airport transfers.
We loved the place, there is plenty of space and the pool was great. Its not far to go anywhere on Gozo. The host is very nice too.The only thing we regret is not taking the host up on the offer of airport pickup and car rental.
The villa itself is beautiful, allthough a little dated. The bedding and towels could be renewed. Maria was helpful and responsive, both before and during our stay.We found the location good, albeit very noisy at the property. We were woken before 7am most mornings with horns etc, and the hosts family who live above, with young children. The outdoor pool was very cold in early june, and unfortunately alot of cats roaming around which came into the garden and we watched them spray and urinate at the pool, loungers, table and walls.... there was a strong smell of cat urine, so perhaps some deterants would be good. Overall, really enjoyed our stay, and fell in love with Gozo.
A large property with a good size pool. That's the only good thing to say.A poor kitchen lacking in sufficient tableware (there were only 3 large glasses!). It wasn't the cleanest, had to ask the owner to deal with a couple of cockroaches. A dishwasher that was incapable of cleaning dishes (we ended up doing all washing manually). No washing powder ( generally most private a little bit for a few washes). The beds were only ok, and the bathrooms generally small. The pool was on a timer and only ran for a few hours in the morning and afternoon and not at all in the evening. The pool loungers were tired and uncomfortable.
Lots of space in the Villa, fantastic for families, great pool area, host was fantastic. Gozo well worth a visit. We hired a car which we used most days, but did walk a couple of times to Victoria which has some great restaurants and history. Villa is a little tired in places and not very modern facilities wise, but was clean and serviceable. Would go back.
Excellant property very spacious for larger families ,outside pool area is fantastic for all ,we had a mixture of adults and children ,would highly recommend
We really enjoyed the stay. Even though the weather was not perfect heated pool indoors saved the day. Nice quiet location walking distance to Victoria. Highly recommend!
We stayed in this roomy villa, with more than enough space for our mixed aged family of 10. The outside area and pool was great and we all enjoyed the pool, especially the children. The location suited us, a short walk to the bus stop or a 15-20 minute walk to the centre, the local shops were nearby and something we thought was great was the bread man and fish man calling in the village in the mornings.
We couldnât have asked for a better host than Maria. Who answered all our queries and also sorted out our transport to and from the airport.
All in all we throughly enjoyed our stay.
We had a great time. The hostess is very kind and hospitable. The house is really beautiful and kept very well. The pools are clean and maintained. The refrigerator is capacious. In case you don't want to pay for air conditioning there are fans available which work very well. We had a great time and would like to return soon.
Myself and friends had a wonderful stay. House is lovely big bright and the outside area is great. We also had the basement pool which was great fun.
Not far to Victoria at all for bars and restaurants and bolt taxis make it all pretty easy. Also super easy to get a day/ night trip out in Malta with the direct ferry. Takes a bit of time but deffo worth visiting Valletta.
Mary was extremely helpful sorting out our mini bus and helped with directions to boat trips and fireworks. Wonderful stay.
Weather was great. Property is huge, there were 11 of us and we still had one room we did not use. Property is just a 10/15 minute walk from the centre of Victoria. We enjoyed not having to rent a car. We walked and bused around Gozo. We got the fast ferry straight to Valletta one day and had a boat trip to Comino. Great destination for a November holiday, weather was in the 20s all week! The pool was a bit cold but the sea was just fine!
This was a superb holiday home! A traditional Gozitan farmhouse with its original fittings, animal tethers, feeding troughs, arches, but also every modern facility provided. The pool and deck were fantastic with the whole family of 13 in the pool from dawn to dusk. Maria the hostess was loved by us all - a sweet kind lady who managed our stay superbly. Everything was efficiently organised with advice, guidance and simple things like basic supplies and wine provided upon arrival. We loved it!
My family of 10 stayed a week at this villa. We have absolutely no complaints! What a splendid place to relax. We had 6 adults and 4 young children. Big spacious bedrooms, each with an ensuite. Lovely big kitchen and dining area.
We had a relatively close walk to the town of Victoria. A bit of an incline hill to get into town, but the children were able to do this walk. Many wonderful restaurants and a great grocery store ( Greens) in Victoria that had everything you could need. Close local shops and restaurants near by.
Mary was extremely helpful. Always responded right away to any questions we had.
Pool was very clean. Lots of patio furniture and enough shade with umbrellas.
Our driver was a man named Emanuel. Mary had him pick us up from the ferry port and drive us to our villa. We had Emanuel drive our group many places. This was very convenient. Ecab and Bolt also very convenient.
One week on Gozo was the perfect amount of time to relax and sight see.
Gozo is a beautiful unspoilt island. Very rustic with beautiful scenery everywhere.
Our host Maria was excellent, any problems we had she did her best to try to help.
The outside pool area was our favourite. We did take advantage & hired the use of the heated indoor pool ( incase of bad weather) however we all thought that the temperature of the heated pool was no different from the outdoor pool ( so we believe at ÂŁ220.00 euros was money that we didnât need to spend.
The facility inside the villa were ok however we did feel that the showers in all the en-suite are desperate In need of updating.
The communal areas example kitchen, dining area and the lounge were very spacious.
The bedroom furniture needs updating or changing, some of the storage cupboards were extremely fragile so we chose not to use them incase they broke.
The bedding was our greatest disappointment!
We had odd sheets & pillow cases & a blanket that was very old & discoloured! This made the beds look uninviting ( we removed all of the blankets from the beds.
We would suggest that the host needs to spend a little money on some new bedding, pillows & new towels.
We feel that itâs very important to have good bedding & pillows to have a good nights rest.
Unfortunately this wasnât the case.
New bedding will make the bedroom look much more inviting instead of dark & dreary.
Kind regards
Valerie
Das Haus ist gut geeignet fĂŒr eine Tauchgruppe. Wir waren 9 Taucher.
KĂŒche und zimmer sind gut ausgestattet.
Leider sind ein paar Singelbetten sehr schmal.
We loved our stay at the farmhouse in Gozo. There was 9 adults and 4 children, with more than plenty of space for us all with bedrooms and bathrooms. The swimming pool was just amazing and so warm. We all spent lots of time in the pool. Our host Maria was really lovely and met us as we arrived and checked in on us all a couple of times making sure we had everything we needed. With having such a large group Maria also gave us a number for a mini bus driver called Raphael who picked us all up for many trips to different places. Xlendi beach was one of our favourites. As well as a boat trip with bulldog cruises!
Thereâs a shop and restaurant walking distance from the villa, the food at the restaurant is lovely and super reasonable. If you didnât want to go out for food we used âboltâ to order in food and shopping and that was very good. Very like Uber east. They also do taxis too which we also used a lot.
We will definitely be coming back to this villa.
Ours was a group of friends and families associated with our SCUBA Diving club from Oxford. Everyone had a marvellous time staying in Ta Bronos and all mentioned how nice it was to say in the farmhouse. Having a pool to ourselves was great and especially appreciated by some of our younger guests. Our host was especially attentive and promptly solved the few problems we had during our three week stay. I'd highly recommend staying here.
We all Absolutely loved this place. Family ranging from one year old to Grand parents in their late 60s. Maria our host looked after us perfectly. Great pool; probably could have done with more umbrellas as it was very warm (33°) . Comfortable rooms, We couldnât all sit in the comfy area inside at once but we coped. Plenty of fans; Option to pay for air con in your bedrooms (only) Easy walk or taxi to Victoria square. Great celebrations this time of year & enjoying all the fireworks! Loved walking to the local sports bar Greens, which served great food and service in the evening. Easy to get to the main land Valletta via the speed ferry. Our first time in Gozo; we will definitely be back !
Maria our host was so helpful both before and during our holiday. The locals are very friendly and we visited during the local festival with fireworks to rival disneyland!
We had 2 villas - Ta Bronos and Razzett Lunzjata, which were right across a small narrow road from each other.
This house was large and spacious with a lovely outdoor area and swimming pool with jacuzzi.
As we stayed in summer, we didnt use the indoor pool.
As another review stated, the bed linen was a little old and dated and the showers were not very powerful with some of the actual showers being very small. However there were so many showers, we were able to use the bigger ones.
The air conditioning was great, just make sure to have 1 and 2 euro coins to operate it. Maria kindly helped with this to get us through the first couple of days.
There is either a fairly steep slope to access the outside area from the street, or a flight of stairs from the ground floor, to access most of the bedrooms/living area and outside area, so may not be very suitable for those with limited mobility.
Overall, we had a lovely holiday.
