On our way back from seeing our kids in Wisconsin. Short one night stay to catch up on some sleep after a long day driving. Thanks for the nice quiet stop on our way home
This was a nice place that was an easy drive from Ft Leonard Wood. It was a great size for just two of us. We enjoyed the charcoal grill and peaceful location. Heads up that the shower is in a garden tub so that works best for people who can handle a big step in. Everything was clean and communication was good. We enjoyed our stay!
Our son graduated basic training last week and this cabin was in a great location, less than 20 minutes from base. The cabin was clean and cozy, the perfect place for our soldier to relax each day on his pass before we returned him to the base each evening. We also enjoyed the quiet setting. Very relaxing!
Grateful for air conditioning in our cabin.
Happy with bathroom. Good water pressure and good water quality.
One small complaint. A lamp or side lamps for reading would have been nice! Lighting was poor for that.
Over all nice cabin.
Didn't explore camp ground too hot
Communication with Kelley was very good. She responded to all of my questions immediately. This is also a quiet location and my son was able to rest after Family Day and Graduation. Just a couple of concerns: upon arrival, they was a very used roll of toilet paper in the bathroom and no replacement whatsoever to get us through the evening. We had to immediately go out to Walmart to buy a package which was just a bit much after 9 hours in the car. 1 extra roll, like the paper towel (thank you!), would be appreciated. Also, there is a definite smell to the cabin which we noticed every time we entered. Wondering if something may be living underneath? Finally, the loft is very small. When considering this cabin, make sure the individual sleeping up there is petite and can climb up vertically. We appreciated that dogs are allowed, and we were able to walk them around several times a day without concern for traffic.
Cabin was exactly as described. I would say that the only thing a guest needs to know about staying here is that there are a lot of ticks, so check yourself over. Nothing to do with the property itself though. But my friend and I and our two pets stayed there for 8 days and we had a very pleasant time.
Wow! This small cabin is perfect for a weekend getaway. My spouse and I enjoyed our anniversary here in April and we loved how tasteful it is. The wood is absolutely gorgeous and the cabin was very clean. We loved relaxing in the jacuzzi. It made for a very nice evening. The location is great and easy to get to town if needed. The host is very quick to respond and accomodating. It was very quiet while we were there which was just what we were looking for. We highly recommend this cabin if you're wanting a getaway for the weekend!
Cabin is nice. There was, however, lots of dust under the bed. Also, WIFI is spotty. At times, it did not work at all. Since TV is on WIFI, then TV did not work. Kelley (manager) was responsive. Had someone install a WIFI extender outside cabin which helped but did not completely resolve the issue. Bathroom needs a new shower head. Good thing was that the manager responded promptly and tried to address issues.
Ruby's Landing River Resort is a full service campground. We have 115 acres full of wildlife. We have cabins, full hook up RV sites and primitive camping. We also have 5 mile floats down the scenic Gasconade River. Nothing is more relaxing than a kayak, canoe or raft ride (we rent these) while taking in the sites of beautiful bluffs and the soaring of Eagles. Our little store carries some basic needs such as ice, beer, soda, ice cream and snacks. Cuddle up to a fire (we sell wood too) and roast some smore's (we sell smore packs also) as you catch up with friends and family. We look forward to your stay.
The rural setting is perfect for peace and quiet. We have various bird species and a group of deer that have called Ruby's Landing their home. We have 1/2 mile of river access for the fishermen(women) in the family and nice areas to swim. We have a playground, open air pavilion and a full bath house. We also have a laundry facility on site.
We are unlike everyone else. We have camping, lodging, River access and peacefulness. We also offer 5 mile floats down the scenic Gasconade River. Rent a raft, canoe, kayak or double kayak and spend the day relaxing on the river.
