Beverly, It was a pleasure meeting you and your husband at check in. Long Beach Island in the fall has plenty of goldenrod in the dunes. It is a wonderful source for the monarch butterflies making their journey that time of year, going back to their home. My house being right on the ocean, of course could be of concern to someone with allergies that time of the year, especially if you open the windows. The house has a 2 zone new HVAC system which works very well at keeping the house humidity- free. Being located right on the beach, there is a lot of moisture. Keeping the ac or heat on works at keeping it out. The ceiling spot from a leak has been completely repaired on the roof. It will be painted this winter. The house is not a new house. The kitchen, bathrooms and floors have all been replaced/redone in the last several years. The windows do open and are mostly screened, (some may be a little harder to work due to constant sandblasting from the dunes and the ocean's hard environment). There are a few selected ones behind a television or in other vulnerable places where if left open by a renter during a rainstorm or high humidity could cause damage, that purposely do not open. The listing gives the location of all bedrooms and bathrooms. Also in the listing, and explained to you via email, you need to supply your own linens and towels. A few paper products are left as a convenience to start you off. They are not supplied for entire length of stay. As I explained to you, I live a few blocks away from the house year round, and I am always available for any questions, issues or concerns you may have. Hearing nothing from you during your 4 night stay lead me to believe you were enjoying your stay. I have never previously had these complaints.
