Fern meadow cabin was off a dirt path in the mountains where it was absolutely breath taking. Deer were everywhere and the dogs across the street were so sweet. Unfortunately no trout.
Great way to spend a few days away from home. We had a little trouble with the air conditioning but it was fixed quickly. Definitely will be back again
The cabin was clean and comfortable. Not hard to access, but yet secluded. We have visited the North Georgia area and always had a great stay. This property is highly recommended.
This cabin was perfect for our weekend getaway. We absolutely loved the shower, hot tub and the jetted tub. The bed was cozy. It was an easy drive into Helen. We can't wait to come back.
We came in and stayed there for our honeymoon and we were not disappointed. Fern Meadow was everything it was described to be. There is a very good chance we will come back next year to the same cabin for our 1 year anniversary.
This rental was great. Clean and quiet! Just what we needed for our get away. So much to do in Helen. Good places to eat! Hot tub in the cabin was the best we spend our two nights unwinding in it.
My husband and I stayed the weekend to celebrate our anniversary. The house was clean and had everything we needed, except for a wine opener, which we just ran to the store and bought one to leave there. We were able to visit all the small local towns and a vineyard. It was a very relaxing getaway.
The location was a little rough due to it only be gravel at some points, but the stay in general made up for it. The owners made sure the house was clean, the process was minimal, and they ensured a easy line of contact if needed. I will be renting from them again.
Comfortable, secluded cabin in north GA. We had a GREAT time fishing for trout, caught our limit, and enjoyed grilling 2 of them for supper that eve. Sitting by the firepit with a glass of wine was very relaxing, and we enjoyed the hiking trail behind the cabin. We actually came to shop in Helen, but were very disappointed - too touristy. We were pleasantly surprised by Cleveland and Dahlonega! Both were quaint with some unique shops and good restaurants. We had a wonderful time!
Fern Meadow was a wonderful place to stay. We saw many deer in the area. They were very calm like it was nothing for a car to drive past them while they were grazing in the nearby field. The place was very cozy and warming to stay in. Loved all the amenities like the hot tub, and especially the shower with all the different shower heads. It was fun to figure out all of the light switches. We hope to be back. Thanks.
Good location - 18 min to Helen. Close to wineries. Just be careful driving the rocky road leading to the cabin. Bed is on the soft side but comfortable. Hot tub came in very handy for back problem. A view from porch would have made it amazing. Shower was fantastic. I didn't use jacuzzi. The inside was fine but the outside could use some TLC. We would love to visit area again.
We had a nice stay at Fern Meadow. The cabin wasn't the easiest to find in the dark, so try to arrive while the sun is still up if you can. Everything was pretty much as pictured; the only issue we had was that the cabin wasn't the cleanest; there was a lot of pet hair around, and the textured walls & floor of the shower made it so that it never completely dried out, including between the previous guest and us. Still a good experience overall, but don't know that I would go again.
Fern Meadows was exactly as pictured! The cabin was tastefully decorated and extremely clean. My husband and I enjoyed a long weekend getaway to celebrate me completing radiation treatment and just to rest and be refreshed! This was the perfect seclusion spot for us! Also, enjoyed the fact that we were out but close enough to get to groceries, pizza, Helen, etc. Check in was easy and (not that we had any problems), speaking with a real person if needed was an added bonus. Only suggestion would be that you maybe update your chairs for the firepit and let your guests know in advance that the road to Fern Meadow is not paved (wasn't a problem, but we were very glad we chose to drive my husband's truck) We will consider returning again and recommending to our friends!!
I ran out of room, but it was such a let downâŠWhere are the ferns?
Weâve stayed at a lot of cabins and this one was a let down. Given the great reviews and the beautiful, bright pictures, I had expected a light, airy, bright cabin with lots of love and customization. Instead, we took a very rough road to get to the cabin, the cabin was dark and a very awkward layout. The small living room was squished between the kitchen and the bedroom and received very little light.
The kitchen was nicely set up, but the fan and the curtains that covered the French doors were disgusting and the cookware available was minimal and some was even put away dirty.
The bedroom was nicely done, but awkward. The steps leading to the jacuzzi were inches from the foot of the bed. The bathroom was small with a huge walk in shower that we really enjoyed, but it didnât dry out between uses (nor between guests). We didnât use the tub because the hot tub was so wonderful and perfectly chemically balanced.
We stayed for five nights, and were left two towels each and one set of bedding with no extra blankets. The towels stunk and I even bought detergent so that I could wash them, only to discover that they had only been washed on a 15 minute cycle previously. Since the towels and the dryer were still warm upon our arrival, it was easy to summize that the last load washed was indeed the towels. Weâve never rented in the area before, so perhaps itâs common in this area, but I have never heard of having to provide your own TP, garbage bags, paper towels, (out of roo
