Stayed a week. Property is in the old Jewish quarter and all significant attractions, bars, restaurants well within walking distance. Check in was a little rushed but not too bad. For example, would have appreciated knowing a fantastic shopping mall with EVERYTHING at great prices was only minutes away! We stumbled across this a few day later so no real harm. Property had all amenities needed for sure. Owner/Manager was very responsive when needed. Highly recommend!
Mercedes was very good at communicating and was at the apartment to greet us when we arrived. However, be prepared to drag your luggage for an uphill distance over cobble stones to the apartment from the taxi drop off. This may not be a good choice if you are physically challenged. The apartment was clean and spacious. The kitchen was modern, however, there was nothing there...no paper towels, no salt, nothing that would be helpful for a stay with a meal. Yes, there was a washer & dryer, but no detergent to use. As another reviewer mentioned the bed and pillows could use refreshed.
The apartment is conveniently located to a grocery store and attractions. We would suggest a binder with helpful hints such as when the wi-fi went out on how to repair.

Excellent location in historic Toledo, with pluses and minuses
This apartment is located very close to the spectacular Cathedral as well as to the Alcazar. It is in a quiet neighborhood of twisty, narrow streets. The rooms are situated around a small courtyard that is used only by the guests. Communication with Mercedes was excellent. Another plus included the large and well equipped kitchen. There are 2 small bedrooms and 2 small bathrooms. For one couple, the apartment is large; for 2 it might seem cramped. Wifi is excellent. Showers are hot. The apartment is partly below street level and has something of a feeling of being in a cave. Lighting needs to be improved. The beds were small and the pillows and mattresses could be upgraded. Finally, unless you are traveling "light," without much luggage, it is difficult to access. Parking ($15 euros a day in a private garage) is a challenging 10-15 minute walk away. I would recommend the apartment to younger travelers who will enjoy the location.
We absolutely LOVED this apartment and wished we could have stayed longer! The apartment is exactly as pictured. It was perfect for our family of four. We loved having two bathrooms and a washer/dryer, which is very rare for Spain! The location is absolutely perfect - near everything!
We appreciated Mercedes sharing all kinds of information with us of what to see and do in the area. Our only concern was that we contacted Mercedes to ask how we should check out (where to leave the keys) and she never replied, even after two messages.Since we had no guidance, we left the keys in the apartment, hoping she was ok with this.
Apartment exceeded our expectations as we were moved to a larger location due to a minor flood.
Mercedes alerted us upon arrrival that we would be in a larger apartment in the same building as our location was under maintenance. We had not chosen it as it was too big and due to the difficulty of getting our luggage up the many steps. The space was gorgeous, very homey. Beds very comfortable. The location is very difficult to find, but once you are situated, it is very centrally located. Spectacular view from rooftop. Highly recommended! Thanks to Mercedes for her resourcefulness and help with local information!
The apartment has a very good location in the central area of old Toledo. We loved Toledo and the area.
However the ventilation of the place is relatively poor.
The place needs better maintenance.
Another pitfall was the lady that was suppose to be in contact with us. Before we arrived she contacted frequently with me by the HomeAway site. The day we arrived we had a delay arriving due to airport and car rental problems and we arrived to the apartment with a 30 minutes delay (00:30). Immediately I was told that I need to pay an extra 20 euros for somebody opening the apartment after midnight (I had to add it to the contract she made me sign and the amount was automatically taken from my damage deposit to HomeAway).
After this meeting with her she stoped being available. Even the day we left, she asked to leave the keys on the table.
We had a great stay in this lovely apartment. Mercedes was very accommodating and helped us with lots of suggestions of things to see & do in Toledo . We were centrally located and we were walking distance to everything we wanted to see & do. The grocery store was close by as were several restaurants.
Great apartment.. clean and very central to explore Toledo. Mercedes was s great host. One critisism.. new pillows needed on the beds but overall well equiped flat
Toledo is one of the most impressive and charming old cities we've been to and staying in the King David suite adds to the feeling of being surrounded by history. The old house which is centuries old has been thoughtfully and traditionally restored. The Apartment is on the ground floor and circles around the inner courtyard. The rooms have some exposed brickwork which is from the original building. Two bathrooms make it a delight for a group. There is nothing not to like and the only negative was that the kitchen requires a few more cooking utensils. One warning is that unless you arrive by taxi there are a lot of hills and steps so it's not for someone who has difficulty with these.
We visited the apartment in Toledo in mid-July 2016. We were travelling by car and had great difficulty locating the apartment, since the street that had been indicated in the email was a very narrow one-way street, which a local did not recommend we drive into. It would have been preferable that a nearby garage (called Alcazar) had been identified, as well as a pedestrian route to the apartment from there.
After we spent about an hour locating the place, we arrived at the apartment. The apartment appeared to be a lovely place, very well located in the centre of town. We could explore the main places, such as the cathedral, on foot. The apartment was an ideal place, located around a courtyard, with great beds and two bathrooms, as well as a well-equipped kitchen. In the end, and not taking into consideration the hassle involved in locating the place, this turned out to be a great place -- very much recommended! Toledo is completely worth the visit!
