Bienvenue à "ShoestringBayHouse" sur la magnifique baie de Popponesset. Pour l'été 2019, la piscine creusée a été entièrement rénovée, les chambres ont été récemment repeintes, le nouveau plancher du rez-de-chaussée et les nouveaux meubles. Assurez-vous de visiter "TheSoiledKilt" pendant que vous êtes à Cotuit!

Notre "front de mer", la maison de bord de mer est entièrement climatisée avec un système mini-split de Mitsubishi 6 unités. Toutes les chambres sont contrôlées individuellement pour votre confort. De plus, cette maison pourra accueillir des familles étendues avec plusieurs configurations de sommeil et de vie. Oui; VTT, SUP (paddle board) et kayaks sont tous inclus !! Nous fournissons également un laissez-passer de plage pour votre véhicule. Notre maison est entièrement autorisée et inspectée par la ville de Barnstable.

ShoestringBayHouse * Cette maison, située dans un quartier adapté aux enfants (idéal pour faire du vélo) et calme, est parfaite pour deux familles en vacances ensemble, les familles élargies ou les grands-parents. Avec une suite parentale séparée et plusieurs salons, tout le monde sera à l'aise. Notre maison «pet friendly» dispose de quatre chambres, dont la chambre «superposée», quatre salles de bain complètes, un bain / douches / toilettes au bord de la piscine, deux cuisines (cuisine d'été au niveau de la piscine), une salle de séjour grande salle de soleil avec une terrasse de salle à manger et une salle à manger pouvant accueillir dix et il est refroidi par un mini-split de Mitsubishi 6 unités. Il y a un accès direct de la cuisine au pont supérieur, où vous trouverez un grill Weber et un cuiseur à homard adjacent à la cuisine. Le salon supérieur, adjacent à une salle de bain complète, abrite une alcôve semi-privée avec un canapé-lit (matelas en gel). Cette alcôve de couchage constitue une excellente chambre d'amis pour les invités temporaires ou les adolescents.

Cotuit Beach Info: Puisque ShoestringBayHouse comprend un laissez-passer de plage, vous pouvez conduire à l'une des nombreuses plages de Barnstable. Juste en face de la péninsule de Cotuit se trouvent trois plages. La plupart du temps, tout le monde se dirige vers Loop Beach avec sa pente douce dans l'eau. Il y a aussi un bain et des sauveteurs pour que tout le monde soit en sécurité et s'amuse. Les enfants adorent quand le camion de la glace sonne, la cloche pour signaler son arrêt à la plage! Notre plage de pataugeoire est accessible par quelques escaliers juste en face de notre maison.

La piscine est ouverte du 1er juillet à la deuxième semaine de septembre. Mais peut être fermé tôt en raison des tempêtes. Aucune garantie n'est faite.

Beautiful place to vacation

We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves at this house - right on the water with great views, kayaking, and an adorable downtown, close to everything. Our hosts shared all kinds of ideas for things to do and were super prompt to any question. The house is very clean, nicely decorated, and has several rooms for a large group to gather together. We would definitely stay here again.

Great house and location for a family stay

The pool was definitely a highlight - with a beautiful water view! You can even go kayak to fully enjoy. House is large, well furnished, and has everything for a fun family vacation (games, tv / game room, lots of space for everyone). Owner is very responsive. Close to many nice hikes and Cape Cod highlights (beach, Falmouth/Woods Hole, etc)

We absolutely enjoyed staying at this property. Something for everyone, with bay views, water activities, outdoor pool and games. This house has everything! View, pool, spacious well-maintained clean accommodations. All the amenities you could want in a vacation stay. This house had lovely spaces to sit and enjoy the view. Beautiful view, needs a little updating

The house was clean, the views are stunningly beautiful, and the host is very engaged and responsive. The house is in need of a little updating here and there, though. It was still a great stay, but for top dollar I would expect some updated bathrooms, better seating area and TV in the main room, and a newer carpet in the parlor room. Perhaps it’s nitpicking but as I compare other rentals at this price point this was not as new, or refreshed. All that said we had a fantastic week.

We are so glad you enjoyed your stay in our family home. We are constantly trying to update and improve our home. This next year we will be adding 165 feet of seawall and updating the lower TV room and bunk bedroom. We hope that this will improve the guest experience !

Beautiful Bay views

We enjoyed our 2 week stay at this comfortable and spacious house. The kids loved the large pool! There was plenty of outdoor space for hanging out by the pool, including a shaded patio and corn hole for the kids. We loved the view of the bay, including sunsets over the water, plus swans, herons and osprey. Thank you for a wonderful vacation!

Beautiful home and very clean. Big enough to accommodate a family and good for young children.

We enjoyed our first vacation away with our 8 month old twins. Grandparents came along to help and there was plenty of space to spread out while still feeling cozy. House extremely clean and tidy. The two kitchens were handy & bedrooms on 2 floors was nice to have. Parents had a chance to escape to pool & kayak while grandparents watched the kids!

Perfect place to vacation with friends and family!

Don't hesitate to reserve this wonderful home in Cotuit. We loved everything about the house and the quiet neighborhood. The open layout of dining/living/sunroom areas was great. Plenty of room to gather together for dinner/breakfast ... or separate from each other to read or compute. Our group was 7 retired adults but we could see what a great house it would be with children. Two of us enjoyed the kayaks on a beautiful September morning while others went off on a whale watch. We loved relaxing with cocktails on the upper deck and one evening a heron was fishing right on the little beach below the deck. One night we had a lobster dinner on the lower deck (near pool). Ordered cooked lobsters from Stop&Shop (much easier than cooking ourselves). Two other Cape friends joined us that night for dinner. We all enjoyed early morning and evening walks in the surrounding neighborhood. Do stop by the charming Cotuit General Store ... they have good food for take out. Our only dinner out was at the Kettle Ho which is not far from the house. Lots of locals there - food was good. Paul, the owner, was great. He's very organized and clearly he & his family take very good care of their beautiful home. It was very comfortable and very clean! We would definitely recommend this property to family & friends!!!

Thank you!! Our blended-extended family, friends and dogs enjoyed every fun beautiful moment at your gorgeous home! We all loved the house, pool, neighborhood and being right on the water! We also had the best weather to top it off!! 😎 Everything about this home and property added to a perfect wknd together!! Thank you for being so accommodating to our group! We were so comfortable and felt at home immediately! The only negative was leaving 😰 Highlights were kayaking to the spit, volleyball in the pool, corn hole on your front lawn and a delicious lobster boil 😎 We appreciated the way your specious and beautiful home is wired up for music, TV etc and the air conditioning kept us comfortable on the hot muggy days!! All-inclusive Get-a-way

A resort-like setting with a home-like feel. Very clean, spacious, comfortable accommodations for 3 generations of family. Lots of thoughtful amenities giving you no reason to get in the car! Walking, biking, hiking, swimming, kayaking, paddle boarding, sailing - all accessible from a picturesque setting. The only downside was having to leave! Paul is a very accommodating, responsive property owner with genuine concern for his guests.

magical!

My husband and our toddler daughter and two sets of grandparents stayed at the Shoestring Bay house this past week and had an absolutely wonderful time. The house is incredibly well equipped for a rental (everything you could need in the kitchen, kayaks, a paddle board, phone chargers, two grills, Roku-equipped televisions, games, you name it...). We were among the first guests to enjoy the new renovations, and the home was bright, open and clean with stunning views of the bay. Sunsets here were magical. We had a great time wading in the shallow beach and watching the crabs in the sand. The beach was great for launching boats and exploring nature, but if you're looking for the more iconic Cape Cod beaches and dunes, those are a short drive away. Paul was great to deal with and very responsive on email to questions leading up to the trip and while we were at the home. This house was perfect for our family gathering and I would recommend it highly.

Fishing trip

Rented this home in May with several friends for our annual fishing trip to Popponesset beach area. Home was amazing! There was more than enough room to accommodate 9 people and all our gear (including 18ft fishing boat). The decks and pool area made it a great gathering place for the group after our golf and fishing activities throughout the day. The decor was vintage Cape Cod and had a welcoming and cozy feel. Owner Paul Thompson was courteous, informative and easily accessible when needed (enjoyed our conversations Paul). I would highly recommend this home and will be renting it again and again!

Great house, great location

We spent 2 great weeks here at the end of August. 2 young boys loved the pool and the cycle-friendly neighbourhood. Parents also enjoyed the calm location and the view of the bay from the outdoor decks. House is well-equipped with electronics, close to beaches and stores. Great, quiet home, Awesome owner, Amazing pool...

We just returned from a relaxing, fantastic vacation at the Shoestring Bay House and can't say enough about the house, the location, the pool, and the wonderful owner of the residence. There were 8 of us, including 2 teenagers who had so much fun in the gigantic pool that we couldn't get them out long enough to go sightseeing! The pool, the bright sunroom and deck overlooking the cove were just a few of the highlights, but there were so many other great features about the house, it's hard to pick just a few! The catamaran was a huge hit with one of the family members, and the nature trail nearby was enjoyed by several other family members. There was something for everyone on this vacation. We would definitely recommend the house to others as well as stay there again, without hesitation, in the future.

Amazing!

In one sentence: Best vacation rental to date! The property is amazing, everything as described. The house is super clean, huge and well kept. The pool was amazing, easy waterfront access for kayaking and a beach within 5 minutes drive or 10 minutes bike. This house has everything you need for a perfect family get together and good times. Relaxing, quiet, wonderful

My family is renting this house for the third year. We absolutely love it. The location is perfect for us: scenic and quiet. The house is immaculate and spacious, with an open layout and comfortable, fashionable furnishings. The sun porch is our favorite place. It is terrific for reading, one of our favorite things to do. The deck has a view of the bay, and it is delightful to eat there. ***** Paul is a wonderful landlord, always ready to help in any way he can. ***** We are not sports people, but there are plenty of opportunities for anyone who is. Great Get Away Vacation

This was our first time staying in Cotuit and at this rental. The house is very large and private. We were very impressed with the cleanlinest of the home and all of it's amenities. The pool and deck were the best! The owner was very helpful. We would recommend this rental to families that want to get away and enjoy a happy and peaceful vacation.

A great vacation

A great location for a family vacation. Our son and his friends had a wonderful time in the pool and exploring the shoreline. My wife and I enjoyed the quiet neighborhood and views of the bay. The house was clean and had everything we needed. The "house information" books were very helpful. The Town of Barnstable beach pass was a nice touch and saved us a lot of money.

Stayed twice and will stay again!

Such a fun and relaxing stay at this vacation rental. We prefer the comfort of a rental home vs a hotel room while away with family/friends. Every convenience of home with the luxury of being on the bay and being able to have our pet with us!!!!. Barbeques, swimming in the pool which overlooks the bay and cozy bedrooms/ living areas that just make this one of the best places we've been to and makes the most sense for us to have room to enjoy. There is just so much room in this home that you never feel cramped for space like when we are stayng at a hotel. Shopping is near by and anything forgotten is within a short distance. Having multiple bedrooms vs a hotel room is a no brainer. To us there is nothing better than a bay view with all the comforts of home at this wonderfully decorated, quiet and beautiful property! We will be back!!!!!

Though I grew up in New Jersey, my family has been coming to the Cape since the early 1960's. My parents fell in love with Cotuit in the late 1970's and we have been here ever since. I spent many of my summers working and living on Cape Cod. After welcoming my wife, Maria, into our family she too has come to enjoy the Cape. Our daughter, Meredith, has been a life long summer resident of the Cape since making her first trip to the Cape at age 3 weeks !

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

Our family originally purchased this property in 1981 after falling in love with Cotuit village and the serenity of the area. My parents were the second owners of the property. This house, built overlooking the Bay offers incredible views from all rooms. During ShoestringBayHouse's next journey, we have been investing in numerous upgrades from the original house and are adding a 165' of seawall in 2022.

Quels sont les atouts de cet hébergement ?

Waterfront, pool, a great view and plenty of room so that family and friends can spread out and enjoy our home. For the adventurous members of the group, kayaks and mountain bikes are included with the rental. We are pet friendly !
