Moving our daughter in to the dorm at SEMO for yr 2. Been coming to this location since our trip here during her senior year of HS when she visited SEMO to audition for the musical theatre program. It is a great place to stay when you have more than 2 people.
Serenity south was welcoming comfortable and very clean. Impeccably maintained historic home. Comfortable beds, great water pressure and shower head, easy to maintain consistent temperature. Good vibes throughout. Not haunted. Beautiful outdoor space but it was too hot to use it much while we were there. Recommend stopping by the olive oil store William and Water across the street.
Great Location short walking distance to the Downtown Area with lots do do, Restaurants, Water Park, Shopping. This is the 2nd time I have stayed and it is a true delight. Very spacious and comfortable. Easy to communicate with the Owner/Manager. I will be staying there again in the future. I recommend it with 5 Stars!
Three generations found rest, beauty,& joy at Serenity South. Thoughtful touches, beautiful gardens and Cape charm made this more than a stay-it became a treasured memory. We were so appreciative of the details, the fresh flowers, homemade cookies, the coffeemaker upstairs and the books and games. The beds were all comfortable. We enjoyed this historical home and our stay.
When looking for a VRBO for our daughter's college visit, we knew the perfect place to stay! This is our second stay at Serenity South and it was just as incredible as the first visit. Clean, inviting and cozy. Thanks Jo for another beautiful stay.
The property was exactly as listed with so many little touches that made it special. Communication was great and we were close to downtown shops and the casino. We will definitely stay again when we are in the area.
We had a wonderful time at Serenity South! The house is quiet and very clean, in walking distance of fantastic shops and fun places to eat. We look forward to returning next year!
Here for a volleyball tournament. Had 3 short days to enjoy this beautiful home. Just not long enough. Has everything u need and more. Jo is a lovely host. So quiet and peaceful.. most of all in a safe area. I plan to go back by summers end just so I can enjoy the home and walk to coffee shop and tour the old part of town. Just wonderful!
This is an older home (1920âs?) with so much charm. Itâs exceptionally well cared for - the floors are clean and in excellent condition, the walls are clean, paint job is beautiful, etc. The air is clean (no smell of mold) bathroom fans work, etc! In short, one of the best maintained rentals weâve stayed in. The beds are comfy. Oh - and the landscaping is also beautiful! It is winter - would love to see the gardens in the spring. Jo was easy to contact, check in was easy. The trains do run 1 or 2 times per night and are close and on Friday night there were some people having fun running their loud cars through town but otherwise it is quiet and peaceful. The walk to town is only a few blocks. We would definitely stay here again!
This was the second year in a row that we have stayed here. This is a beautiful home to stay in. I love the charm and detail of the house. We stay here after a Christmas party and walk downtown so itâs definitely located in a convenient spot. I will be booking again for next year Great communication with Jo and if thereâs any questions I need, Jo is very quick to respond. Thank you for making our stay good!
We stayed at Serenity South instead of a hotel for family weekend. We were able to have our daughter and her friends over for dinner which we could never do in a hotel! There are great views from upstairs.
I have stayed at Serenity South three times in the last 5 months. It is perfectly located near downtown restaurants and the Old St. Vincent's church, and it is literally a 2 minute drive to SEMO's River Campus. We will be returning to Cape next month, but sadly, this property was already booked. It will always be my first choice, though.
