The address is Wisconsin Dells but sits about a 20min drive from the main attractions. Everything on sight was wonderful- pool without hours, anytime self serve mini golf, and playgrounds. I didnt give 5 stars for cleanliness because the dishes in the cupboard to use were disgustingly dirty (Guests are supposed to wash but didnt) Also, there was sand everywhere! The road was sand. The beach was a nice sand. Sand was completely unavoidable so don't expect a sandless living space.
Iâve been camping at cabins before. This is lot my first time. Iâll start with the positives. It allows dogs. It has ac/heat, the fridge is big. However, there is a lot lacking. You pay for sheets and thin blankets. $50. The walls are plywood, the bunk bed has creaky plywood and you can hear every movement all night long. The mattresses are VERY bad. My back is killing me after a 3 night stay. The bathroom is tiny, no sink in bathroom, the only mirror is a prison size mirror hanging in the main area of the cabin. The bathroom/shower house nearby was closed and we had to use the âupperâ bath house which was a 10 min walk or you could drive your car. Sand sand sand. So much sand. There is a broom but we could not keep the sand out of the cabin which meant we slept with sand. No fish were bitting in the pond any time we went. I expected a more cabin like feel. It was just plywood, a tiny outdated metal kitchen and a roof. Itâs 25 min to downtown dells. Thatâs not horrible but it is farther than you really want to drive after a long day. There is no garbage pick up or cans out you have to drive it to the front of the camp ground and use the main dumpsters. On our last day we also realized there were golf carts for rent. We were not told of those either which wouldâve been nice since we are traveling without true camping stuff. We are outdoorsy but I think Iâll try another cabin next time. Just wasnât feeling it here.
The cabin and campgrounds were very clean and inviting. The cabin was just as described. It was quiet, peaceful and beautiful. The sites had plenty of space between them. Everyone was very friendly. The check in and out process was slick and easy with very responsive and friendly hosts. We would stay again for sure!
We didn't even stay one night. I reserved a 1 room cabin for a week. My husband and I got a phone call at almost 8pm check in day. They said they were closing the office soon. I could be mistaken, but I didn't see hours listed for check in end times. They stayed there until we got there, which was greatly appreciated. However, when we were directed to our cabin, it had a steep set of stairs to the door. My husband is disabled and could barely make it up. When we entered, the floor plan was nothing like the pictures showed. Pictures showed an open floor plan with only the bathroom being closed off. This had the bedroom walled off. I'm claustrophobic and could not stay in the room, it was so small. We tried calling the office back, but they had understandably left. We had to get a hotel room and called back the next morning. We had been given a cottage instead of a cabin and they didn't have a cabin available for 2 more days. They did refund my money since I didn't stay, so I was grateful, but it was still frustrating that we had to change plans last second.
Cabin is situated on a nice pond where we enjoyed watching a flock of geese.
Itâs right on what seemed to be a busy road ⊠golf carts traveling around the campground.
Friday fish was very good.
The only negatives are the dirt road that tracks into the cabin with you, and the beds are terrible!
Had I known how bad they were to sleep on I would have brought an air mattress.
Over all a very nice campground
Check in & out was fast and easy. Very clean, and lots of activities if you have young kids with you. Cabin was on a nice little lake. We had a nice quiet stay for midweek end of summer.
We loved the site and enjoyed the venue for our 70 plus lb (2) dogs. Small quaint bar and restaurant. My wife loved her ruben and rated as great as some Irish bar we have tried.
The people were nice. The cottage was air conditioned and fully functional for 4 adults. It was right by the lake. It was peaceful. You could either swim in the lake or the pool. We caught a lot of fish. It was nice that it was only 15min from downtown but had a nice country atmosphere too.
Nice secluded spot ~20 mins outside of Downtown Wisconsin Dells area. Lots of activities going on in the campgrounds on the weekend we were there, but also plenty of room to space out and just enjoy the lake/nature as well. Definitely plan on going back, very enjoyable getaway from the city!
Beautiful property. Cabin really small. Very clean.
Cabin very small and bedding not provided until I asked for it. Then they gave it to me. Very clean and felt very safe. Lots of staff going by and asking if you need anything. People around extremely friendly.
Pool was lovely and property beautiful. I would go there again. Have to admit I missed TV,
From check-in to check-out, all of the people involved were friendly, helpful and entheusiastic that we stayed at their campground.
Our cabin was great, rustic, new and well taken care of.
We left it exactly as we had found it so they know we are coming back next year with more people.
If a tent is not your thing! This is the place! We were able to camp with air conditioning and a kitchen and a shower. Basic Kitchen ware and utensils were provided. Fun times! Recommend you bring money to rent a golf cart! The kids loved it!
Amazing time. The residents were very friendly and staff was always asking if we needed anything. Only negative part was a lack of communication on how to check in. I received a VRBO message that we would receive check in instructions closer to arrival date and never did. You just need to check in at the bar at the top of the hill. Other than that...highly recommend for a peaceful and relaxing place!
We stayed here for a few days and overall it was what we expected. When we first arrived the floors were fairly dirty so we had to clean up before we settled in. But overall it was mostly as advertised. It is located on a large pond and is a short drive to downtown Dells. It was what we were needing for a place to stay and the A/C was great to have, plus they had it running for us when we arrived.
