We really enjoyed our stay this cabin. It had all the features/amenities we wanted - secluded mountain location, hot tub, and situated by a beautiful creek. The host provided great communication. We would definitely rent this property again.

The location is perfectly away from the hustle and bustle but close enough to it not to feel isolated. While we loved the cabin, the creek was totally the jewel. We absolutely will return!

Great place to relax

Great place to unplug and relax

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The cabin's location is absolutely amazing!!! Right on the creek. You can sleep to the sound of the water at night. Great size for a couple to spend a weekend. We felt so away from everything and everyone. There is a fenced area for the pups but it is on a very steep incline. Only issue we had was our littlest dog getting out from under the gate. We will absolutely be visiting this spot aga6!

Lovely location

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have been booking through Sliding Rock for years now and have always had a good experience. This was our first time at Song of the South and we loved the little creek and the remote location. The fenced area for the dogs isn't as large as some of the other cabins, so if you need a huge fenced area try a different cabin, but the fire pit by the creek is great! The power went out Saturday and I had to call the after hours number for the first time and they answered and kept me updated. We will be definitely continue to book with Sliding Rock Cabins!

I am so glad you had a good time at Song of the South. Yes, it does not have a large fenced in area but it will take care of a basic needs. Wonderful stay

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The location couldn’t have been better. Secluded enough to be peaceful, but still close to orchards and hiking trails. My friend and I were very happy with the condition of the cabin and the layout is perfect for friends to share a space for a few days. We appreciated the air conditioning as we went during the heat wave. The creek was the best part because it was easy to dip our feet in and the sound of water over the rocks was so relaxing. The cabin was very clean and taken care of. I know some people mentioned how dark it is inside, but you have to understand that this is in the woods with very tall trees and so there isn’t direct, blaring light through the windows like at a beach house. But there were plenty of lights to turn on and the vibe is perfect. We will be back for another stay!

Hi, It sounds like you were able to enjoy all that is in the area. You will have to check out apple picking season that starts in August runs into mid October. It's a lot of fun. Could not get the lid off the hot tub it was so heavy. My husband hurt his back trying to lift it. It took us two days to get it back on. Lol The view was amazing, but there were no cell service and we stayed lost a lot. I think the price was a little much for what was offered. The Creek and the porches made this stay.

Birthday getaway

My wife 2 dogs and myself had a great time at the cabin in the mountains. The creek in the back was awesome to sit by while enjoying a fire. I will definitely return in the future.

Anniversary off the grid

Reviewer Comments: We have stayed in Song of the South two years in a row. We love it. Fits out needs perfectly. Favorite part is the firepit area with the babbling sound that is so peaceful and private. Love the hot tub area. The cabin has all we needed and nice a clean. This year we went to Dahlonega and loved it. WE rode the train last year and did the rail bikes this year.

Reviewer Comments: Cabin was cozy and well suited for our needs! Pups and us, especially my grandson, loved the little creek behind the cabin - it was my grandson's 1st creek experience! The screened in porch was also nice and the drive to the cabin, easy. The screened in area for the dogs is pretty steep and so not a space you'd want to keep them for very long. Good place for keeping them while loading in and out though.

Cabin was perfect little getaway to relieve some stresses of today’s world. Highly recommend The Last Catch restaurant in Jasper, just a few miles away. Great fresh seafood! Happened to be there during a festival which was amazing. Overall I’d highly recommend this as a great place to escape to.
