When I reached the trilevel townhouse that I rented not only was the staff aware of anything that was going on after I walked into a completely gutted trilevel apartment that was supposed to hold 10 people. There was no flooring. There was no kitchen. There was no furniture there was nothing non-livable and all the staff could say to me was they thought that the renovations were done and didn’t realize that they were not totally irresponsible of Expedia staff so you can imagine how I felt not having anywhere to stay in 10 people need to be accommodated.

Good place for big damily

We stayed here for Thanksgiving. It fit 9 of us pretty well. Nice big living room, but the eating area was very cramped, and too small for all of us. Overall, a little beat up and a little dated, but clean, well-stocked, and a good home base for a big family.

Light bulbs

This was a great location to skiing, ice skating and tubing. The only problem was a lot of the rooms did not have overhead lights and the lamps did not working bulbs. We had a great time. Will stay here again.

great location a little dated

a little dated (flimsy kitchen cabinet, electrical outlets that did not work, a lot of owner's possessions piled in the closets and under the beds) but clean and a great location! Also, we had difficulty communicating with property management in an emergency situation.

Negative starts

I wish I could give negative stars to Vacasa for this trip, it was awful. The room was not clean, we waited 40 minutes in the cold to get a key to the door (the code did not work), and I tried reaching it to customer service several time- each time their response was, “let me look into that.” No one ever looked into anything. Extremely frustrating and dissatisfied.

Excellent location, but many problems with the property

We stayed at Snowlake D-25 from Jan 3 to Jan 5, 2020. Excellent location. Unfortunately, we encountered multiple problems due to which our overall experience was horrible. If anyone whom I know rents this property, my suggestion for them would be to get a couple of flash lights (will be helpful while doing the laundry), get some ear plugs (will be helpful to muffle the floor creaking sounds) and also get some warm clothes (will be helpful to stay warm in the upstairs bedroom). List of problems (the worst problem is the last, so please keep reading). I have pictures of fridge, shower, window seal etc. 1. Fireplace wasn't functional. That was OK since we had received a notification from the property prior to check-in and they provided a 10% discount. 2. Property was not ready at check-in time of 4 pm on Jan 3rd. The person who called to let us know of the delay was very apologetic. He dispatched the cleaning crew immediately. He suggested that the property be empty while cleaning. So we hung around in the parking lot for an hour until the cleaners completed their job and we were able to enter around 5 pm. 3. TV remote wasn't working. Upon inspection, observed that the batteries were corroded. We had replacement batteries on us, so we were able to fix it. I have photo. 4. There were a couple of bulbs missing from sockets in lamps and dining room chandelier. Not a big deal. I have photo. But it was a sign of what more was to come. See number-6 below. 5. The shelves in the fridge door were missing the retaining plastic strips. We were not able to keep any items in the fridge door shelves since they would fall down if the fridge door opened/closed. While it was annoying to say the least, we could at least use the main fridge compartments. I have photo. 6. The lights in the downstairs passage (next to the laundry room) were not working. This is deep in the interior of the house. There are no windows. So, it was very dark. We tried to turn on the bulb in the laundry room and guess what -- it was missing too! I have photo. So, we were forced to do the laundry using nothing but the flash light from our cellphones. A faulty bulb here or there is OK. But, to have faulty bulbs (or no bulbs) in an entire area is not expected. 7. On of the showers in downstairs bathroom did NOT have the shower head. I have photo. 8. The upstairs bathroom toilet roll holder was broken. The toilet paper roll kept dropping on the floor which was extremely annoying. I have photo. 9. The twin bed in the one of the downstairs bedroom creaked A LOT. Our friends could not get sleep because as soon as there was the slightest movement, the bed emitted loud creaks. 10. The situation described in point-9 was exacerbated because the ceiling of the downstairs bedrooms creaked extensively too. If anyone walked even a bit in the living room and dining area upstairs, the floor creaked - and this sound caused severe discomfort to anyone in the downstairs bedrooms. Note - we have stayed in other cabins/houses before. While we don't expect a whisper-quiet floor/ceilings. But, neither do we expect any floors to exhibit excessively harsh creaking sounds. 11. This problem occurred in one of the two upstairs bedroom (the bedroom facing the water pond). We stayed for 2 nights. The first night, outside temperate was mid-50's and no wind. No problem on first night. On the second night, the outside temperate dipped to high-20's and it was very windy. After going to bed, my wife and me realized that the heater wasn't effective. We could feel the hot air coming out of the vents, but room just wasn't heating up and initially we couldn't figure out why. The wind picked up speed after mid-night, we could hear the gusts outside. And then we observed that the curtains on the inside were moving t...

We are sorry to read you did not have a better stay, Nikhil. Our maintenance team has been scheduled to do a full property audit of the home which will address most issues you have brought to our attention. The fireplaces in the complex were deemed unsafe by an HOA inspection, and we do apologize for any disappointment this caused and hope the compensation offered helped a bit. Listing Not Accurate

I have stayed in this exact condo a few years ago and it has now changed. The fireplace is no longer there, although it is listed in the pictures. I booked this back in May/June for an October stay, and the listing did not say anything about the fireplace not being there. That was disappointing. Pictures need to be updated. In addition, one of the rooms upstairs had some sort of air conditioning unit/vent taped to the window. The window is not secure and the machine is very loud which did not allow for great sleeping for the guests who were in that room. The location is great - and we will stay in Snowlake again, but not unit D-25

Mountain Stay

It was a great place. The only problem was in the pictures there was a fireplace…there was no fireplace when we arrived. The pictures need to be updated. I still would stay again.

Sweet as Sugar Winter Paradise

We loved the location of the unit , The view of the pond and the low setting clouds on the mountains was just so wonderful, the 7 Canadian Geese was a site one morning on the water. Snow covered everything the day we arrived it was a winter wonderland. Very peaceful and comforting, felt like home.

Our family has been coming for 5 years and staying in the condos at sugar mountain with wonderful experiences. I have never had to leave a bad review; however, this year the experience was awful. 1. The heat in upstairs bedroom didn’t heat the room. 2. The heat in the entrance way didn’t work. 3. Half the light bulbs in the house were out. The downstairs was dark, and we couldn’t see to do laundry. 4. The stairs to downstairs are completely unsafe We had 2 adults fall. There was no handrail, the steps are so narrow and a couple were loose. It was very dangerous. 5. The plug in the kitchen was pulled away from the wall, which made us feel unsafe to use. 6. When we went to wash dishes, the dishwasher had mold growing in the soap compartment. 7. Several shower heads in the house didn’t function properly. 8. The cleaning wasn’t up to standard. We found a wad of hair in one bedroom and a piece of open hard candy stuck on the floor in another. 9. The toilet in downstairs bath would not stop running and would not flush properly. We had to work with it several times. 10. I know when you are downstairs in a house you can hear noise from upstairs, but the squeaky floors were ridiculous in this unit. You couldn’t take one step with waking people downstairs. After researching, I see someone else left a similar review just a few shorts weeks ago, so I guess resolving issues doesn’t matter to you guys.

Thank you for telling us about your stay, Suzette. We take guest feedback seriously and dispatched a maintenance team to investigate your concerns. We were able to verify all heaters in the home were putting out warm air and apologize if you were still uncomfortable. The dead light bulbs have been replaced. This is the first we have heard of any of our guests falling down the stairs and are sorry to see this was a problem during your stay; all the stairs in the complex are built the same and are to code. The loose kitchen outlet has been resecured. Housekeeping has taken extra care to clean the interior of the dishwasher. All of the shower heads are working correctly though one has a minor leak that we will work on as well as replacing the mechanics of the toilet so it will stop running. We do wish you had contacted us during your stay about these issues so we could have addressed them for you and improved your experience. Please do not hesitate to reach out. Thank you!
