This was my first time booking a VRBO. This property was amazing and exactly what my group was looking for. The cabin and surrounding area was so quiet and peaceful. We had such a relaxing time during our stay. The hosts were incredible and I would highly recommend this property to others!

The Hutch House is cozy and full of character. The lake and surrounding grounds are beautiful. Set in a peaceful, private area it's a great place to explore nature while taking walks or relaxing in a rocking chair on the deck. Thank you, Richard and Marsha for being such gracious hosts!

What a lovely place to stay with everything we needed, both outside and in. We enjoyed relaxing on the porches, and walking the property. We regularly grilled, hanging outside by the pond and playing cornhole. We fished the pond (bring gear), & enjoyed the pedal boat. The sunrises from the property were stunning. With a little walk, we could also see beautiful sunsets. Check in and out were easy. Marsha stayed in touch and was available if we needed anything. Thanks for a great stay; we hope to return.

A great location, secluded and private. Very well equipped and lots of extras. More than I needed, and had I not had an event to attend or been craving a Hawaiian pizza I may not have left my entire stay. Richard & Marsha were accommodating, communicative and informative. I will definitely be staying here again. Thank you!

This is a very charming log home, feels very private while remaining close to everything in Indianapolis. The hosts thought of everything, it was an extremely comfortable stay! Spacious enough for a family, cozy enough for just me!

Our stay was so comfortable. The property is very pretty. The bed was so comfortable and there is plenty of space to stretch out . The house is off the main road. We were very comfortable there and we would stay again.

In our combined 20 years of staying in short-term rentals, Hutch House was our nicest stay of all. The location is perfect, on a secluded pond with turtles and a resident great blue heron. There are no other homes within view, yet it is a short drive to stores, and some nice restaurants. The house itself is spectacular, with original hand hewn logs and beams visible throughout the home. Large windows bring in much natural light. Adding to its character and charm are the furnishings and fireplaces. No details are missed, such as the gracefully draped cotton hand towel with the pitcher and bowl on the antique wash stand in one of the bedrooms. Hutch House is warm and inviting. It has modern conveniences, too, including a reverse osmosis drinking water tap at the kitchen sink, full-size SS refrigerator, plus a washer and dryer. There’s even a bathroom on each of the three levels. When you walk out the lower level, you’re just a few feet from the edge of the pond. If you are looking for a quiet place to relax by yourselves, stay at Hutch House. You’ll be so glad you did.

This home is amazing. It's listed as a two bedroom which it is however there are three floors and the cabin is very large. It's decorated perfectly being its a 200 year old cabin with modern touches that made it just amazing. The host are wonderful and the stay was flawless. The property is amazing to walk around and enjoy fresh air. The wildlife can be found around ever turn including to our surprise someone's barn cat. We enjoyed eagles, hawks, wren, deer and even coyotes. Thxs

Richard and Marsha have a beautiful place to share. Upon arrival they gave us fresh asparagus grown on the property and they were delicious. The house is so comfortable and stocked with everything you could think of. My husband caught and released some nice bass for the next person. I enjoyed the swing and row boat. Pizza from The Ordinary was awesome. We enjoyed a nice round of golf at Valle Vista and didn't do too bad at the casino and horse racing in Shelbyville. We hope to come back again some day.

An incredible cabin that was very clean and well decorated. I was thrilled with the kitchen and its equipment. It was like home. We are looking forward to staying again in the future.

Exactly what we needed and wanted. Nature, quiet, beautiful home, had everything we needed and more. Fish (other than bait fish) weren't biting but figured it was just too early in the year yet. We will be back!
