We spent a wonderful week in Maurizio's holiday house which is located in a very quiet environment within the steep hills between Corniglia and Vernazza. In particular, we have enjoyed the beautiful hikes between the picturesque villages in the region and the exceptional view from the house onto the sea. Thank you for the great time!
Fantastic stay in a beautiful house. We loved the house and the location. The view over the ocean was amazing. We can also recommend the bar closeby. The only thing was that it took about 45 minutes walk along the path to get to the water to swim. But the walk to get there had a great view! So overall - great stay. We can recommend it!
Beautifully secluded stone house; lush garden with flowers, butterflies, fire-flies (!). Exceptionally well equipped house. As Maurizio describes, there a steps to climb to reach the house, but the view is more than worth it.
Near to nature including hearing the various animals - we loved it! We hope to return some day. Many thanks, Maurizio for your attentive hosting.
This is a great place to stay near Corniglia. Fantastic views across the med and well appointed. Be aware you will need transport to get here and to travel to Corniglia - which is only a few kms away but a very steep walk back home up the hill!
The access track is also steep and up stairs but so worth it if you want to be away from the crowds. Corniglia is a much quieter village compared to the other 4 Cinque Terre villages as the ferries dont stop here and there are 400 steps to the train station. This is great as it means Corniglia is less overrun by tourists and is less crowded.
If you are looking for somewhere special to stay on the Cinque Terre then I would recommend Sole Valletonda.
Maurizio, thank you for a wonderful stay. Everything was just as advertised. What a lovely location. Peaceful and quiet, with only the occasional barking of dogs and braying of donkeys to keep us company. Communication with Maurizio was seemless throughout the booking process through to our departure. The home was clean, well appointed and well equipped with all the conveniences of home. It was also nice to have TV with a choice of English news channels.
The house is situated a short walk to San Bernardino and Corniglia and with easy access to the Cinque Terre trail both North and South. Parking is just off the road and access to the house is up a small hill, surrounded by olive trees and easily doable. We enjoyed the use of both outside terraces when the weather permitted. The downside is all the mosquitoes. Make sure you bring bug spray. We would certainly recommend a stay here.
We spent a lovely, peaceful holiday in this delightful house high above the sea in July 2016.
There cannot be a better view than the one from the terrace - it is spectacular. A perfect place to wash away your stresses over a bottle of wine and relax. Thank you...and also for the great weather ! Thanks also to Isabella - a very helpful and informative host.
The only concern we had was the ever-present worry of theft due to burglaries in the area that we were told about - we were very careful locking up when we went out. We trust Maurizio is doing his best to tighten security.
