The Island of Brac is beautiful and the local villagers and property owners are lovely, friendly and helpful. However, the property description is misleading, as we believed we would be staying in a villa, this is not the case, it is actually 2 separate apartments, one of which doesn't have direct access onto the pool area. The pool itself is quite small and it is quite cramped with 4 sun beds around it. That said, the apartments were clean and tidy and we really enjoyed exploring the Island from here.
We have just had the most peaceful, relaxing one week stay in this villa on beautiful Brac, wishing we had booked two! The villa comprises of 2 separate apartments, but we really only used one. The fabulous small pool was a peaceful haven, although not directly accessible from the bigger apartment. This was no problem - just walk round the side of the building. A glorious view from the covered balcony can be enjoyed any time of day, and all that can be heard generally are crowing cockerels, sheep or insects hummimg. This is truly a place to switch off. The village contains the essentials: a bakery, cafe bar, restaurant, bar and church, all within a few minutes walk from the villa. The hosts are charming and contactable 24 hours a day. The apartments themselves are clean and comfortable, containing more than adequate amenities and equipment. The island itself is a gem, and there are many beautiful places to discover both by land and sea. We will hopefully return in the future.
My family and I stayed here from 25/07/15 till 8/08/15. And what a fantastic time we had! The communication with Edo the owner was a god send, he was informative and helpful with any and all of the random questions asked from where to eat, ferry times, I also asked for directions to the property but he went out of his way to meet us off the ferry and lead us to the villa even though it was 10pm! Not only that but had chilled a nice bottle white from his own family vineyard!! The villa is located at the centre of brac, you do need a car but the location means your are tucked away from tourism so can really relax and experience the real Croatian village life, being in the centre of the island means that nowhere its to far to travel, we pretty much spent time in each and every town, of which non disappointed. (our favourite was a little harbour called bobavisca the sea swimming was lovely). The villa has two apartments one with two bedrooms in which myself wife and son stayed in and another with one bed which my father in law stayed in, both apartments were sporting all the mod cons and were immaculately presented. The pool And bbq area again are lovely we made good use of both. There are some fantastic lightening storms in Croatia one of which knocked out the wifi, a text to Edo in the morning and by 2pm he had it back up and running again! Nothing to much trouble. Edo and his family made us feel really welcome, be warned his dads home made grappa is not for the faint hearted it kept me smiling from noon to evening. So to sum up hospitality service cleanliness non of us could fault a thing!!We would not hesitate in staying here again.
