It was a very clean and nice place. The porch is lovely with some views of the mountains, you have to sit in just the right spots on the porch to get the best views.
We had workers on a project nearby staying at the house for 2 weeks. It was an interesting drive up in the work trucks but definitely do-able. The house was clean. The hot water doesn't last very long; but management is going to address this. They were very responsive to our request. Great alternative to an expensive hotel for 3 people. We will stay again if we return.
No real complaints other than master bedroom bed needs to be replaced. It totally sinks into the middle. We actually went downstairs and used that bedroom/bed for the last two nights because of this.
We loved the setting, the view, and it's positioned well for outdoor recreation, access to Dilliardsville, Sylva, and WCU. It needs a little freshening up and some additional amenities.
Great cabin with great views. Loved the cabin and all the amenities. Loved playing pool and Foosball. Clean and comfortable. Would definitely stay again.
Great views and very well stocked with everything we need. Is advertising as not having a washer and dryer, and that would be a great addition for long stays.
Very clean. Sleeping arrangements were great for my family. The view is spectacular. Loved having a wood burning fireplace. Canât beat what you get for the price!
Pros- the location, space, game room, plenty of towels and bedding. Cons-no washer or dryer, no Wi-Fi, steep windy drive. Overall great stay just be prepared with a hotspot and firewood to enjoy the fireplace and Roku tv.
Exposed electric wires, live roaches crawling on walls and floors, mold, live spiders and cobwebs through out house, windows and doors filthy, too much to even list. The rules in the welcome book are outrageous you might as well sit in the dark, donât use the water or the heat or air. Praise God we were able to be moved to another rental after 8 hours of phone calls, emails and pictures to prove the home was unfit.
Bella Vista was a great cabin for our family (2 adults and 3 children). The views of the mountains were peaceful, fun game room in basement along with 3 bed bedroom, which was great for kids. 2 Masters on main floor. Downsides: water rationing. We did not run out with 5ppl for 6 days, but we were very careful about usage, opting for bottled water, hand sanitizer and quick showers. Also the road getting to the cabin is very steep, gravel and has many switchbacks. Not for FWD vehicles.
Sent a review to Vacasa, never heard anything back from them. Of course, my review was never post
Old and run down. Property management is not responsive to customers. Electronic lock not working when we arrived on Thursday night, reported it. Never heard back from Vacasa till a few hours before we checked out on Monday, asked if I still needed it fixed ??? Basement was dark because of lighting and musty smelling. No view on the deck, tree limbs grown over. Never again with Vacasa !
Location is great. Secluded from the real world and quite. The heat didn't work, it worked, but there was space heaters in the closets in the bottom floor for a reason. It was too cold down there for my kids to sleep and they slept on the couch upstairs. I do appreciate the caretaker who was super helpful when we arrived and our thermostat was locked out, as in- needed a code to change anything. Be prepared to be cold if you are planning on using the bottom floor and the road isn't as bad as some say, wouldn't recommend going at night and Cowee Tunnel is literally down at the bottom of the mountain, look it up and go explore, just remember the train runs daily.
We chose this house for the view, and that was definitely magnificent. Pictures of interior were apparently from years ago, as the house was dark, with an old and tired look. The weather was cool our first few days, but we realized when the weather switched to hot that the air conditioning was barely functioning. Directions for ceiling fan remote and tv would have been much appreciated. The 120-page manufacturerâs manuel was no help to someone not familiar with Dish and Roku. Kitchen is well stocked, but needs some small to medium pots. Beds were comfortable, and house was clean.
The house was fine and it was clean. Just a couple of issues. Listing said there were 6 beds. There were only 5, which meant one grown man had to sleep on a couch. Also listed the casino as 7 miles away(which is one of the main reasons I chose this location), but the casino is actually around 20 miles away. It might be 7 miles as the crow flies, but definitely not 7 miles driving. The pool table was missing a ball. Just these multiple little things took away from the experience, but overall it was ok.
The first two days it seemed the Heat pump was frozen. We fortunately bought fire wood and found a portable heater in the basement. The view was great though! The washer doesnât work well but the dryer does for the most part. The dishwasher was not clean and didnât work well either. We tried to use our limited water wisely, running the dishwasher once, using the washer once and five adults not taking showers everyday we were out of water the last day. There was no firewood there for the fireplace so we bought a lot of it leaving two bundles for the next family. The house is beautiful but needs attention if itâs going to be rented. The bedding other than sheets needs to be laundered too. The batteries on the entry box front door need to be replaced. Otherwise with all the things we had a fabulous time . The people we booked with were great!!
Enjoyed our weekend stay. Went up to celebrate our 10 year wedding anniversary. Cabin was nice and peaceful, secluded, no highway/city noise. It was a much needed unplug weekend for me and leisure trip.
