A really lovely gĂźte - clean, nicely decorated, well equipped and the owner was very welcoming and helpful with any questions. A very nice outside area for eating and relaxing too. We would definitely stay here again if in the area.
We booked this property quite spontaniously, to split our return journey from our vacation in France. The contact with the owner was very pleasant.
The property is relatively small, but the space is cleverly used. A renovated farm barn, with nice authentic details, very modern and stylishly furbished. The bedrooms offer enough beds for 6 persons, kitchen and bathroom are modern and fully equiped.
Overall: we had A nice stay and would certainly come back!
Lovely location, welcoming property with potential
The Gite served as a base for our exploration of the Arras region. The village is lovely with a lot of history - please try the fare at the local bakery. The Gite itself is small with 3 bedrooms but with potential to sleep 6. Having this number stay would perhaps be problematic with regard to the sitting room which, although comfortable, is small (but more than adequate for our stay). We have given feedback to the owner that there would be benefit in providing a list of local services - shops, restaurants and other local services such as hospitals etc in addition to perhaps thinking about providing details of the history of the village, of which there seems a great deal and which is always of interest to visitors. Visitors would also benefit from having a supply of leaflets from local attractions. The owner is aware and has said that this will be done. Just one thing about the Gite to be aware of - the stairs are a little tight for those visitors of a larger disposition. Lastly, the Homeaway website for the Gite is confusing with regard to the sauna and pool of which we saw nothing. In summary, this is a lovely small comfortable Gite in a lovely village and area and is a great base for the region - one with even more potential with a little more care.
Beautiful area near Arrass. A lovely quiet village and great bakery.
The property is very quirky being a converted barn with lots of original features. The bedroom were lovely, the only downside would be the stairs which may be an issue if you have young children or you are disabled. A very relaxing stay overall.
A modern and pleasant property in a rural village.
This place is great and we had a wonderful time. Our only complaint was that we were not accommodated in the cottage we booked, but in the one next door. This meant we had a shared living area and kitchen, which was not what we had booked, nor wanted. After a 2-night booking for another two sharing the same area finished, the owner left us alone in the property.
The property is thoroughly modern and very comfortable with large bedrooms. It is perhaps not suitable for toddlers as it is a converted farm building and there is a lot of original features inside including defunct machinery and holes in the floor!
The pool was lovely for a soak, but too small for swimming.
Highly recommended, but check exactly which rooms you are getting when you book.
