Overall it was a nice stay. The location with the lake view was very nice and picturesque. The kitchen was well-equipped and the beds, pillows, and furniture was all comfortable. The AC kept the place cool, even upstairs, so that was a plus in the summer.
There were only a few problems. The property is old, and as with a lot of old houses, the floors seemed to slant in almost every room. Also, in the master bedroom there were only sheers on the front and side windows, whereas there were blinds in the other rooms and downstairs. There was a problem with the TV programming. When turned on, the TV was locked into Amazon Kids even though we followed the directions in the check-in guide. After consulting with the manager, we were finally able to watch TV. It was a little frustrating, in that it was advertised as having "Amazon Prime, Netflix, and HBO Now. All are signed in and ready to use." At night, the side entrance near the driveway was extremely dark and it was difficult to go up the steps without using our cell phone flashlights. Lastly, the property was a little short on basic paper products (TP, paper towels, napkins).
But other than those minor inconveniences, I would say that it was a pleasant stay, with close proximity to the beach, shopping and restaurants in Glenwood.
