PrĂȘt aprĂšs l'ouragan Maria (Ă©lectricitĂ©, eau, Internet et plus :) Cette Ă©lĂ©gante maison de plage est Ă  distance de marche de la plage. SituĂ© Ă  Villa Palmira, Humacao, ce paradis en bord de mer est totalement rĂ©novĂ©, entiĂšrement meublĂ© avec toutes les commoditĂ©s, entiĂšrement climatisĂ©, Internet sans fil, laveuse et sĂ©cheuse et piscine privĂ©e (service de piscine chaque semaine) À seulement 45 minutes en voiture, vous avez la forteresse fortifiĂ©e historique ville du vieux San Juan. La montagne tropicale El Yunque Rainforest et la magnifique plage de Surf Luquillo (La Pared) sont Ă  40 minutes en voiture. MusĂ©e du phare d'El Faro et rĂ©serve naturelle de Las Cabezas (lagune de mangrove bioluminescente). La ville portuaire de Fajardo, et des locations de bateaux pour la voile / le canotage, la plongĂ©e avec tuba / la plongĂ©e sous-marine, la pĂȘche et les ferries pour les Ăźles Culebra et Vieques, Ă  5 miles. We had a great time staying at this place! The host, Norma, was super responsive and helpful. We had plenty of space for the whole family, and the house had everything we needed. Plus, the neighborhood felt safe, even though the gate to the property was always open.

Better than advertised!

Great spacious place a few steps from the beach in a gated community. The pictures don't do it justice. Pool is large and very nice. Plenty of outside space. Beach is beautiful and secluded. Shopping including Wal-Mart is 10 min away. Only wish to improve - a brighter light in the living room. Our 3 teens stated they want to come back to THIS house next time.

Great family getaway

The property is conveniently located to all the comforts you need to enjoy your stay. Within walking distance to many restaurants and truly steps away from the beach.The home is well equiped and is very spacious. We were a group 6 adults and there was plenty of space to to relax. The home and the outdoor areas are very well maintained and have ample seating and lounging area. The 3 burner grill is handy and we made good use of it, as well as the swimming pool. Its location allows for full sun most of the day with 2 covered areas for shade.We enjoyed being close to the Reserve area for nature walks and kayaking, as well as the trails along the beach. The host was easy to contact and answers all inquiries promptly. Thank you to our host for making us feel welcomed in her home.

Steps to the beach

We came here for the holidays to celebrate with our close friends and had a wonderful time! The neighborhood is quiet and close to the beach. The beach is great, walkable for miles, with lots of boogie board size waves and great views of Monkey Island and Vieques. The pool and backyard area was a great place to hang out after the beach. We managed to cook for 9 with no problems

New Year's Vacation

My family of 5 and our friends, a family of 4 stayed at Norma's home recentlly and we enjoyed it very much. Her home was clean, spacious, up-to-date and a pleasure to stay in. We weren't missing a thing, from beach towels and beach chairs to floatation devices for the kids. Thank you so much Norma for a great first experience with renting a home from Home Away. New Year 2024

We had a fabulous time! What we saw online was exactly what the property looked like. The kitchen was well equipped. The bedrooms were comfortable. The beach was so close and water so warm that we went every day. But, we still took advantage of the in ground pool. The nature preserve was accessible from the beach and awesome for walks with the whole family. The gated community gave us a good sense of safety.

Beautiful property

We went to PR for my son’s graduation/18th birthday and was pleasantly surprised with the property. It accommodated us well with beautiful views. There was even a happy graduate balloon along with a bottle of wine upon our arriving which I thought was so thoughtful! Kids enjoyed the pool and the neighborhood dog with dentures, lol. If you stay here, you will definitely know what I’m talking about. Property is close to shops/restaurant and I liked that it’s in a gated community. I would definitely stay here again!

Hidden gem

This place was amazing, close to everything, yet secluded enough to enjoy your privacy. Loved the pool, great for any family/group. The common areas space was plentiful. Great cozy getaway spot. The rooms were spacious. The place was very clean and modern. The owner responded very quickly to any inquiry. I feel the pictures don’t give justice to this great place. Also, the beach!!! Was literally like 1 minute away walking, private, clean, and just great to swim or chill. I would love to stay here again in the future.

Great stay!

Great location, gated in community. There is a historic landmark bunker hike right along the beach which is right along the Humacao Reserve. Nice short hike. Everything was included like described in listing. Pool and outside hang out was perfect. All that was needed for a kitchen was included. Which was perfect since we were not planning on eating out for all meals. We had glasses, mixer etc to make cocktails as well. We utilized the washer and dryer, just needed detergent was was no biggie! There was 3 couple and we each all had our own bathroom with shower which definitely was a plus!

It was heaven on earth!

We were a church group that had been doing mission work in San Juan and wanted to end our week with some relaxation at the beach. This rental home was perfect. We walked down the street to the beach and enjoyed the view, the waves and the beauty of Puerto Rico. Then we would come back to the most relaxing pool ever and enjoy playing in the water while listening to the pool's waterfall. The kitchen was fantastic with spices that we could use and there was a big grill in the backyard that made for a fun dinner by the pool. You can believe everything you read in the description for this house-it really is that great! Norma was helpful in making sure we had everything we needed and made us feel right at home! Our gorup would highly recommend this house!

We loved this property!

We were a group of 11, 8 adults and 3 children. The house suited us perfectly. We used the pool every day and the beach was perfect for those who like the sand. There is a nature reserve next door that has walking trails and kayak rentals. We saw 2 manatees swimming a short distance off shore. The house was exactly what we were hoping for. The beds are comfortable. There are lots of towels, a stroller, and a couple of pac and plays. The kitchen is well equipped and everything is in working order. We accidentally locked ourselves out of the house and Norma was there to let us back in within 10 minutes. I’m very glad we got to meet Norma. She is a lovely person. Thank you so much for renting your house to us. It was a fabulous vacation.

Great owner and Great house

Norma is very easy to deal with and has a great house. From my first email to Norma, she was very quick to respond and provided answers to all of my questions. Her house is in great shape! It has marble tile floors, redone bathrooms, a beautiful kitchen to cook in, a nice backyard with a pool and a bbq grill to cook on. Her couches are comfortable to sit on, her beds are easy to sleep in, the bedroom with the bunk beds and twin mattress are great for kids, she even has bed guards to keep them from rolling out of bed. The other two bedrooms have nice comfortable queen beds with the master bedroom having a good sized master bath attached. There is a bathroom with standing shower located in the back of the house, with immediate access to the pool, which makes tracking water into the house less of a hassle. She has a stereo with caliente music hooked up so that you can play music out at the pool or in the house (nice touch). It is an easy walk to the beach (2 minutes) or nature reserve 10 minutes. Both of which are worth seeing. There are a lot of iguanas, geckos and birds hanging out in the nature reserve and easy to see. We heard some monkey's which were we not able to see. They apparently come from monkey island, which is a 45 minute kayaking ride from shore and has people available to guide you around if you so choose (you have to stay in the kayak). The beach is a little short but has a nice shaded area under coconut trees which was perfect to hide out from the sun. The air temperature was about 74 (at night) 84 degrees (during the day) and very comfortable. Water temperature about 79. We were worried about rain, the forecast was for 50% showers everyday, but the showers were very brief and usually occurred late afternoon or evening. Humacoa has all the conveniences of home; Sam's club, Wal-mart, JcPenny, Marshalls, CVS, Walgreens, Chilis, Burger King, Wendys, Taco Maker, and a hospital that specializes in pediatrics (our child got sick and needed to take them to one). Punta Santiago, which is even a little closer, has a neighborhood grocery and fish market (very good local fish) that weren't as glitzy but probably all you need for your stay. I appreciate the reviews that others posted prior to coming which is why I've posted such a long one. We've been to Puerto Rico several times before, but wanted something more authentic this trip around and are glad we stayed at Norma's. It gave us a nice less touristy view of the countr

Great for a family vacation! We had a great time at the house and enjoyed the pool very much. The beach was also very nice for walks and to catch the sunrise. We didn’t get a chance to swim as the waves were a little too rough for us. Overall, easy check-in, great communication with the property manager (very good!), Walmart and restaurants very close to the home, easy to access any shops and pharmacy as well. Great amenities, everything you need for the house was already there, and nice surprise in the fridge for us when we arrived, thank you!!! We highly recommend! You will not be disappointed :) we can’t wait to be back soon.

The house was so close to the beach. Unfortunately, we were unable to go to the beach because of the excessive sargassum. We ended up having to drive about 20mins away to find a clean beach. Obviously not the hosts fault.Norma was super responsive. The house was exactly what we needed and even had essentials (assuming left behind by other guests) such as cooking spices, rice, pasta, q-tips, lotions, pool tubes, etc. We added to a few water shoes and spices as well There are a few neighborhood dogs in the community, be on the lookout though, they like to “lead” the cars and randomly pop up in front of moving cars. We almost hit them There are restaurants right outside the neighborhood gate but only one was open during our time there. The preserve is walking distance and so pretty.Overall, it was a great place to use as a base to explore the surrounding areas.Thank you Norma!!

Great home base for our family to return to!

My sister and I brought our families to this home - our group ranged from 19 -59 years of age or older. All nine of us had comfortable sleeping accommodations and space enough to spread out. The gated community made everyone feel very comfortable. We loved the small neighborhood dogs who were so friendly and were always there as we pulled in to the development. Norma was fantastic! We experienced a short problem with the water and she was on the ball and immediately contacted the water company for us. It ended up being an area water issue. A Walmart is very close by as is some very good restaurants that are in walking distance.We very much appreciated the very cold AC especially in the middle of July! The biggest thing everyone raved about was the pool it was beautiful pool with the fountain lights at night
it was perfect and we spent many hours just happy at this home because of the huge pool.It was great to come home to Norma’s every evening after our adventures. Kitchen was well equipped - we made breakfast, lunch and spaghetti and taco dinners and on the night that we stayed home. Norma left coffee for us and we loved it!! Puerto Rican coffee is phenomenal smooth and delicious even the non-coffee drinkers were drinking the coffee!!We really appreciate the cleanliness of the house and all of the extras including the TP the bath and beach towels, linens, paper towels and garbage bags, Ziplocs, etc! Thank you Norma!!

Our group of 62 people stayed in Punta Santiago for a Mission Trip. We rented a few houses in this neighborhood. Our host was super helpful and kind. The home had everything we needed. Check in was easy and the house was clean upon arrival.

Everything was perfect. The house is beautiful and had everything you could need, even lots of extras like fishing poles, pool toys, strollers ect. Our family of 6 was very comfortable, and everyone loved their stay. The pool is beautiful and we spent plenty of time there. Most of all Norma was an amazing host. We needed to reschedule our stay more than once and she was always accommodating. Everytime we reached out she responded in minutes. There wasn't anything that would make not want to return.
