We have stayed at this property and the one next door-both are in a fantastic location to walk downtown! We appreciate the dedicated parking spots and quick communication with the hosts. The beds were super comfortable-I want to know what kind of sheets were used so I can buy them for my own home!!
The apartment was clean and cozy. The kitchen was well stocked although I wished the fridge was bigger. We have a child with food allergies so we prefer to cook our own meals. Downtown is just a nice 10 minute walk away and we loved walking to Starbucks to get our coffee. The Badlands NP is amazing but Custer State Park exceeded our expectations. Itâs so beautiful. We will be back!
Very cute and clean. Parking was a little difficult as the street was busy but if we could back in the spot getting out was easier. Couple have used a bit more counter space in the kitchen
Our host was super responsive and helped to make our stay perfect. The house was amazing, the location was wonderful, and the experience was hassle free! Everyone enjoyed their trip.
Thank you!
Very nice property. Was extremely clean and communication with owner was great. The kitchen faucet plugged up on us due to lime on the city water. It was fixed promptly and the owner even did the dirty dishes that were in the sink while we were out exploring. Would definitely stay here again.
This is an old home that has been divided into 3-4 different units. Renovated and Very cool. Great location. We never knew if anyone was in the other units, but this one was perfect for us. Walking distance to everything including the Monument. Loved it.
To be noted, as with other reviews, no ice maker and very small fridge. Bring ice and a cooler. Beds are super comfortable and you might bring a noise maker for street traffic and creaky floors. Book it, you'll love it.
We chose this place for its appearance and location. It did not disappoint. Our timeframe was short but we were able to explore Deadwood on Friday evening and then Mt Rushmore, Crazy Horse, Custer State Park, Wall Drug and Badlands all on Saturday, within close proximity. On Sunday we got to see more of Rapid City before heading home to Colorado.
Regarding the accommodations: the King mattress was super comfy and the rooms were nicely decorated. Some nice added touches.
If I'm looking for something to provide constructive feedback, I'd prefer to not have to do the dishes ( no dishwasher) .. lol... while on vacation and especially when I'm paying for a cleaning fee. Aside from that small thing, everything was great!
Great to be close to downtown as well as easy access to get to Mount Rushmore, Sturgis etc. The beds were very comfortable and cozy. Highly recommend this place!
We were looking for a quieter place. St. Joe's is a very busy street late into the evening. The VRBO was decorated very lovely with everything you need. New towels with no stains are needed. There was a leak in the ceiling over the kitchen that needed fixed. Exterior of the building needs scraped and painted desperately.
We spent two nights here as part of a driving trip and it was perfect for us in order to visit Badlands, Rushmore etc. The property is very well presented and within walking distance to a number of cafes, restaurants etc. The owners are easy to deal with and respond quickly. Thoroughly recommended.
Conveniently located for our travels to see Mount Rushmore and surrounding areas. This lovely apartment was clean, eloquent in design and Super comfy beds to put us to rest. I would definitely recommend this to friends and family to stay in the future.
Jami and Matt were wonderful hosts and attended to all our needs. The downtown area is walking distance from the property and it is a charming district with restaurants and shopping. Jami provided us a list of local eateries and we enjoyed the places she recommended. Our 10 year old granddaughter loved the local ice cream and cookie places on Main Street. We also enjoyed the statues of all the presidents on every corner as we tried to name them without looking at the plaques. This property is comfortable and easy to get to Mt Rushmore, Custer Park, the Badlands areas and more. Communication was wonderful with the hosts and they accommodated last minute needs after issues with our flights. We highly recommend the area, the property and the hosts.
This property is very conveniently located-within easy walk to many restaurants and bars and a short drive to Mount Rushmore. Hosts are super responsive. We are very happy we stayed here!
Very nice upstairs apartment in a great location near downtown Rapid City. My husband and I and my brother used this as a base for exploring Wind Cave, Jewel Cave, Badlands, Spearfish Canyon, Custer State Park, Devilâs Tower and the Needles and Pigtail drives in the Black Hills. Fantastic area with lots to do. The apartment itself was great. Very clean. Fully stocked kitchen with fridge, freezer, microwave, stove and coffee maker. All cleaning supplies available, but no dishwasher. Not a big deal as there was a nice deep sink and we ate out most of the time. The beds were super comfortable - one king sized and one queen. The bathroom was very large with a nice tub/shower. Good water pressure with excellent hot water for end of the hiking day reprieve. Shampoo, conditioner, and body wash provided. We brought our own bar soap as we prefer that. Absorbent, soft towels. The main living area was open to the kitchen with a small table for breakfast/meals. The enormous sectional sofa was super comfortable. Fabulous to have a large off road parking spot in the driveway slab. Overall, a very comfortable place to spend several days. The communication with Jami and Matt was outstanding. They even provided local insights for restaurants and activities. This was a fantastic spot for two couples or a small family (if the kids will share a bed). I would definitely stay here just as a couple too. Very comfortable, well decorated. Felt like home. Highly recommended.
This property is very convenient to the restaurants of downtown Rapid City. It served as a homebase for us as we spent several days visiting the Badlands, Mt. Rushmore, Custer State Park and Deadwood.
Jami was extremely easy to work with and gave us a late check out which I really appreciated.
The property is very clean an accomodating. Location is within walking distance of downtown. It worked great for 4 adults. We would definately stay again.
My family and I spent 5 nights in Rapid City. The apartment was walking distance to town. We walked into to town for coffee, meals and to explore. We also took day trips around the area to the Badlands, Mount Rushmore, Wind Cave and Custer. Each day we were happy to return to our comfortable apartment to wind down, prep lunch and watch tv. Thanks for a great stay!
Matt and I love to travel. We love luxury, comfort and convenience everywhere we stay. Our goal with our vacation rentals is to provide a luxurious experience to all of our guests. We try to ensure that our properties are comfortable and have everything needed for that home away from home.
We have five renovated homes in the "Village at St. Joseph" that accommodate each size of family and/or a group of friends. The Village allows guests to stay in the same area, yet also have their private spaces. There is a three-bedroom home located next door to this two-bedroom apartment, as well as a one-bedroom apartment and a studio apartment within the same complex. There are three additional one-bedroom homes available in the Village. We have created an outdoor commons area for all the guests to enjoy the beautiful area and create unique memories The homes are downtown and within walking distance to all our favorite breweries, coffee shops and restaurants, as well as boutiques. The homes are also within walking distance to two of the main hiking and mountain biking hills downtown, M-Hill and Skyline Recreational Park, which allows guests to a quick workout in. This location is ideal as it has direct access all the main intersections of Rapid City, easy access to I-90 and Mt. Rushmore. I love outdoor work and spend quite a bit of time landscaping the property, adding new beauty to the landscaping every year.
