Oceanfront Condo with Balcony, Pool Beach Access

Shipwatch oceanfront condominiums, offered by Hodnett Cooper, have been a favorite family destination for many years. With just 52 residences, Shipwatch is a quiet community ideal for both weekend getaways and multiple month escapes.

Each residence features two bedrooms, two full baths, a combined living, dining, and kitchen area, and a private balcony.

Community amenities include boardwalk access to the heart of St. Simons' sand beaches, a swimming pool, volleyball area, large grass lawn , outdoor grills and complimentary in-room high speed internet service.

Though this community is located directly on the ocean, individual residences, unless otherwise specified, do not offer ocean views.

Beach Gear Credit Now Included Hodnett Cooper has partnered with VayK Gear, a beach delivery service provider to offer beach gear rentals to Hodnett Cooper guests in participating properties. Grea Location, Great Price

This was a small condo, but very well organized and clean. The location was perfect. On the beach and within walking distance to shops and restaurants and the pier. We will definitely stay here again.

Very comfortable and clean easy access to beach and pool.

Really enjoyed this condo. Very clean, comfortable, nicely decorated, well appointed kitchen. Walkway to beach right outside pool. Perfect with kids but very quiet. Caretaker on property very helpful.

Great location. Clean condo. The master bedroom was very comfortable. The bedroom with the twin beds was not comfortable at all. The beds and the noisey mattress pads need updated. If you go during busy times, in the condo, you will be able to hear everyone around you. Make sure you have bug spray, the mosquitoes are relentless. All things considered, not a bad place to stay.

Fun from beach to pier

My family and I recently visited Saint Simons. We had a wonderful time at our condo which was right on the beach. We enjoyed the beach and the pier village and some recreational opportunities. We love the condo and the location and will probably be working with a Hodnett Cooper in the future.

Nice getaway

Overall it was a pleasant surprise. This was my wife and I’s first time to St. Simons and we weren’t sure what to expect. The condo was very nice and comfortable. We were so close to everything and the beach was beautiful. We will be coming back again and bringing more family

Everything was very nice. We had a great time.

Condo had been renovated and was very clean. Like new. The young lady in the office was fantastic. We enjoyed talking with her. The only thing that needs to be changed is- the drainage of the parking area when it rains. The water was 4” around the cars after a heavy rain one night. That is an easy fix though. We would definitely go right back there anytime.

Very comfortable and nice

Had everything we needed. Lovely place. Bed and linens were very comfortable. Close to beach. Nice laundry - beautiful baths and kitchen. Nice interior design. Good pool. Great beach access. Good, close parking and elevator to 2nd floor convenient to apartment. Good internet. Ice maker working well! Only thing to mention - as other reviewers have also noted- is that you can hear alot of noise from upstairs apartment. We don't sleep in and the neighbors upstairs didn't stay up too late, so it did not impact our comfort. We would absolutely return!

Great stay for 2

Our stay here was awesome! We loved the private beach access and the pool area. The rooms are beautifully decorated and the kitchen was stocked with all the dishes we needed. The only downside to this property is that the neighbors upstairs deserve a noise complaint. I’d recommend bringing items like cooking spray, tin foil, coffee, salt and pepper, and extra towels if you’re having an extended stay and cook a lot. Overall, I would definitely stay here again and would recommend to my friends.

Sept.2019 visit to st. Simon Island

We were very pleased with our unit at Shipwatch. Unit 206 is tastefully decorated and cozy. the porch swing was definitely a bonus! I enjoyed swinging every morning while drinking my tea and watching the sun rise. The location was nice and quiet. The only complaint would be the occupants in the unit above. Many times it sounded like a thundering herd of animals were up there. We would, however, still consider staying here again!

Probably would not risk another stay.

Hi The property was a fair bargain. Our problem was continuous noise from the unit above. We don't know if this resulted from "poor" construction or overly noisy guests.

Peak a boo beach view, all renovated, spotless, great beach and only about a mile to the pier, great restaurants and shopping, very comfy King in master, nice linens, easy check in, lovely, wouldn't change a thing, no ice maker but just get ice

Nicely done!

I loved this condo. The modern touches were well-done. The colors were fabulous. The swing (which is why I chose this property) was an awesome touch. Pillows Pillows Pillows!! The kitchen is modern and nicely-equipped. I will say, there is no pantry, which means there are no food staples (like salt n pepper) in the house. But appliance-wise it's nice! The location couldn't be beat. a mile away from the bike rental and steps from the beach. With a sweet tiny view of the ocean. You could hear the waves and the greenery is so nice! My daughter's bed was so comfy. The king sized bed was great. And many books to read. I was trying to finish a book I began on day one. I got 2/3 of the way done. (luckily my local library has it in-stock). The owners have nice and comfortable tastes. If ever we come back to St. Simon's, I know which condo to book!

Very comfortable, close to the beach and village.

Shipwatch is a very nice place to stay. The rooms were comfortable and well appointed. Access to the beach was a short walk. Getting to the village and restaurants took ten minutes at the most. People there were very friendly and accommodating. The party staying above us however made a lot of noise moving chairs around. I would consider staying there again in the future.

Beautiful Condo, fully equipped with everything we needed and more!

My husband, myself and my uncle who is a hospice patient took a mini vacation during Christmas to ShipWatch #302 We had an amazing time and this condo was absolutely perfect for us. It was a great location on the beach, the area was well lit and secure. The grounds were very clean and well taken care of. The agents I booked with and recieved the keys from were very friendly and outgoing as well as very willing to help me in any way they could. I would definitely rent this condo again, everything was perfect and all that we needed to buy was our food, this condo was fully stocked! Thank you for such a wonderful experience!

Lovely Place!!!

Wonderful, clean, peaceful, well layed out condo in a great location. Nice roomy bathrooms and Had everything you would need. We had 4 adults and 1 child and it was perfect. Loved the private access to beach and pool amenity. Would definitely stay here again. Left off one star only for noisiness that was easily heard from guests upstairs.

It Is What It Is

The unit looked exactly like the pictures on line. There were lots of books to read and plenty of puzzles for a rainy day. It was clean and decorated tastefully. The kitchen had everything needed to prepare meals. I would definitely stay at this property again.

Obnoxious and oblivious condominium guests

The Condo itself was awesome. Grounds were well kept, staff was exceptional, but something has to be done about guests taking over the pool. There was a group of at least 7 cars/families from New York who took over the pool every day. After trying to sit by the pool one day, my husband and I finally left because of the loudness and cluelessness of the guests from the east coast. I won't be back. I would hope that staff would have an eye on pool grounds to see what's happening daily, although they should not have to. Courtesy to all sharing the space should be the key. All chairs were taken by towels by 9 a.m.... etc. that's just the beginning.

Very nice stay

This was a great condo, great location. It was clean, had towels and was even equipped with some toiletries which was a big help. Would definitely stay there again!
