The Bighorn Mountain House is relaxing mountain retreat located in the Willowbrook neighborhood of Silverthorne, it’s a perfect home base for nature lovers, skiers and snowboarders alike! Our home is located minutes off 1-70, and a short drive to 5+ world class ski resorts, sledding and snowshoeing, golfing, Lake Dillon, hiking trails, restaurants, and shopping! The location is perfect for enjoying all Summit County has to offer.

This spacious duplex offers 1800 square feet of space including a welcoming entrance with plenty of storage for your snowboards and skis, an open floor plan featuring a grandiose 2-story living room flooded w/ natural sunlight and open to the dining area and fantastic kitchen with granite counters. Prepare meals in the full kitchen before curling up in front of the flat-screen TV for family movie night, or enjoy an evening of family games or puzzles at the game table. From the kitchen, glass doors will lead you out to an incredible deck, hot tub and unbelievable views of the Gore Range. This home also offers a main-level primary suite with an en-suite primary bath, guest bedroom, full bathroom, laundry room and powder bath. The second level offers a third bedroom and loft--perfect for guests. This home sleeps 7-8 people.

Spend those snowy Colorado days hitting the slopes at the nearby ski resorts, and use those sunny summer days hiking the numerous trails in the area, golfing or paddle boarding on Lake Dillon. Silverthorne can’t be beat…Summer, Fall, Winter AND Spring!

The Silverthorne area is just under two miles away, where you can enjoy outlet shopping and angling along the Blue River. Spend the day boating on Dillon Reservoir before taking in a show at the Silverthorne Performing Arts Center or at Lake Dillon Theater. winter wonderland

We absolutely loved our visit to the Cozy Mountain House! It was perfect for my family, lots of sleeping options. My kids love playing in the loft and the hot tub was wonderful after a day of skiing! They keep the property immaculacy clean as well. Allison the host was super helpful and check in and out was extremely easy. The whole stay surpassed expectations!

Wonderful family vacation.

We spent a wonderful week in Silverthorne at this beautiful home. Everything was perfect. Check in was super easy. Communication was perfect. Whenever we had a question, we got an immediate reply. The house is perfect for a family with three bedrooms and a loft with an additional bed. Thanks so much for having us!!!

Cozy stay close to resorts!

Kitchen was fully stocked, hot tub was new and stayed hot all weekend, and everything was as advertised. The bed in the loft is a bit smaller than expected and only accessible by a ladder, but the bed was more comfortable than expected. It’s a perfect room for kids but is a little tight for an adult couple. But we made it work and were very happy with our stay!

Quiet and oeaceful

We had a great time as we do every summer with my dad. The fishing wasn’t quite as good but the weather and views were breathtaking. The house could use some updates as the dining room chairs kept trying to fall apart and the couch was not comfortable. Other than that we enjoyed our time with family.

Perfect for our weekend!

Six of us stayed this past weekend and really enjoyed our stay. The kitchen was really well stocked with tools and dishes. The view from the hot tub was awesome! It was nice that the house is in a quiet neighborhood yet still so central. We were six adults which was a little tight with the bunk room but we still had a blast. I highly recommend this property!

Perfect for a ski vacation!

We had a great stay at this property! Location is convenient to at least two world class mountains(Keystone and Breckenridge are ~15 and 20 minutes)…. This combined with the private hot tub made this a great value for your trip. Owner was super responsive and accommodating to help my elderly parents. The only caution I have for anyone interested is to be aware that the loft bedroom required climbing a 6 rung ladder. No problem for us but make sure this won’t be a problem at least one part of your party. Do hesitate to book this property if available for your stay!

We live in Downtown Denver and while we love the city, it is really important to us to be close to nature. I've been skiing at Keystone Mountain since I could walk (and now snowboarding). My husband and I were married on top of Keystone Mountain in 2001. We love hiking, mountain biking and paddle boarding on Lake Dillon. My husband, Seth is in the food industry and I am in Real Estate. We have 2 girls, one in college at CU and our other is a high school sophomore.

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

Keystone/Silverthorne has been our 2nd home forever! My parents first bought property in Keystone in 1980 and we have had a place up here ever since. We bought this place in 2018 and it has served as our home away from home through the last few very crazy years! We live in Downtown Denver and love to escape to the mountains frequently. We all ski and snowboard and spend a lot of time up here in the winter, but honestly, summer and fall are our absolute favorite seasons to be here.

Quels sont les atouts de cet hébergement ?

We fell in love with this house when it was listed for sale and couldn't pass it up! We love the high ceilings, with the open concept living, dining and kitchen and the way it lives like a single family home even though it is a duplex. The hot-tub doesn't suck either!!! :)
