Recently converted and renovated, this cottage has direct access to both the gated and walled front garden (parking) and the enclosed rear garden (swimming pool). It is the oldest part of property, dating from 16thC, while the rest of the house, where the owners live, is 18thC. A further two bedroom cottage on the other side of the house is also available to rent.
Lavender Cottage comprises, on the ground floor, a large open-plan area with fully fitted kitchen, dining room and lounge.
The kitchen area also contains a washing machine and dishwasher to make your stay as easy as posible. A video player, DVD player and board games will keep the family amused.
On the first floor are two bedrooms: a twin with ensuite WC and wash basin and a Master bedroom with modern bathroom - WC, wash basin and shower. There is also a small lounge with desk upstairs.
The patio door from the living room leads out to the extensive gardens with loungers, patio sets, BBQ and, of course, the 12M x 4m heated pool, popular with adults and children alike. There is also free WiFi access from the garden.
Chabris is a pleasent village with a riverside park (tennis courts) and numerous facilities. It has a Saturday morning market, bakers, butchers, a pharmacy and several resterants and bars. On the edge of the village is a large supermarket which should provide for all your needs.
Chabris makes a great base for exploring the Loire Valley - there is so much to see and do! The nearest major château is just 10mins away and one of Europes finest zoos is close by. There region is a cyclists dream with many marked routes following the river Cher, the canal or just wandering through the delightful countryside.
The owners are a French / English couple who are on hand to provide help and advice throughout your stay.
