If you want a taste of old Florida this is the place. The natural beauty is breathtaking. Lots of different birds to see from the deck. Love this place and will stay again.
Wonderful retreat on The Nature Coast. Our stay was peaceful and calm. We saw so much wildlife and kayaking was a great experience. The house was very comfortable and we had everything we needed. Heather was great. She was even able to accommodate a few extra nights stay when our plans changed. I highly recommend this property if you want to get away!
A peaceful getaway! Beautiful views of trees, water, sunsets, wildlife and dolphins. Thanks so much to our hosts for sharing their amazing family home and property â€ïž
My stay exceeded my expectations!
Heather and her family are wonderful hosts, the neighbors are great people. Derick & Jess, Mark & Lori are now my friends đ
Aripika is truly old Florida, off the beaten path and a true gem.
The stilts house is clean, well furnished, plus had all the supplies for the kitchen, laundry and cleaning- my month flew by fast!
I look forward to returning in the future!

There was no barbecue at the Home and the toilet ran all the time because it leaked couldnât figure out where the canoes and kayaks were because of all the no trespassing signs everywhere
When you leave Highway 19 to head to the house itâs an unbelievable change. It feels worlds away from everything. You donât hardly hear any traffic. Kitchen has enough equipment to cook a basic meal. We stopped at Aripeka Stone Crab & bought claws & fish dip for dinner one night. Great place donât miss it.
The owner, Heather, communicated quickly and clearly both before and during our stay, which I really appreciated. She is a terrific owner. The property is very comfortable, with great beds, and very quiet. The view of the live oaks with Spanish moss and the marsh off the back deck is beautiful. We saw barred owls and a pixilated woodpecker. The wifi and TV work well. You feel very removed from commercial Florida, but the truth is that it's only minutes away if you want it. The 4 weeks went by very quickly and I kind of hated to leave.
This place was neat and clean. The beds were comfy as well as the furniture. The house was open concept, which made it great if you wanted to sit at the table you could still see the TV. The TV was a challenge for us as we are not familiar with streaming. But once we figured it out it was fun to watch some of the old TV shows like ,The Practice and NYPD Blue. Heather was a great host. She left us a bag of snacks that was totally unexpected. When we out one day, there was a brief power outage because of a storm that passed over, Heather notified us that it was being worked on. By the time we got back the power was back. I would recommend this place to anyone. It is quiet and peaceful and like living in a tree house. We enjoyed ourselves and might make a return visit sometime.
We had came due to the loss of my father in law. The Marsh Hammock was the perfect place for us to heal from the loss. Nice quiet neighborhood. Every morning you never know what you may see. Beautiful butterfly, a variety of birds, and even wild pigs. The neighbors Mark and Derek where very nice and welcoming to us. Thank you for having us. We hope to stay with you again.
The house was really great. Comfortable, spacious, and clean. The owner was very quick to communicate with us if needed.
We would absolutely stay there again!
We spent a month at the property - it was all that we hoped for, and more! The house was clean & well-equipped, and the host was welcoming and responsive. The big draw for us was that kayaks were provided - the kayaking was incredible! And the preserve down the road had great biking and walking trails. Highly recommend; we hope to be back!
My family enjoyed our time in Aripeka! The home was very comfortable and inviting. The Weeki Wachi preserve provided us a great place to walk each morning. The kayaks Heather had available were a wonderful way to enjoy the beautiful sunsets. We found the location to be close to the activities we pursued and an easy drive. It was a very pleasant months stay for us. Thanks Heather!
The property is a quiet retreat away from the hustle bustle of town but close enough that we could run an errand in a short period of time. Our disappointment was that there was no good place to walk and enjoy the outside.
The home is up in the canopy of large oak trees, giving it a treehouse vibe. We enjoyed sitting on the porches and feeling the breeze off of the gulf, as we watched for a pileated woodpecker or even a bald eagle in the nearby trees. The interior is roomy, comfortable and tastefully decorated.
The property owner was accessible and helpful.
The rental is in a quiet location, off the beaten path, at the end of a sandy driveway. The view from the front and back porch reminded me of being in a tree house, quiet, bug free, a great place to relax. The interior is nice with a roomy dining area, (something that many rentals lack). The TV and internet are a nice feature. It has comfortable beds and a large bathroom. The rental is tastefully decorated and is not full of nicknacks that tend to clutter many Florida rentals. There are restaurants and shopping nearby. The 25 steps to the front porch are no problem for active people.

Tranquil Paradise
Very nice accommodations! Everything we needed was there for us. Met a lot of very nice neighbors that I believe could be our new friends once we move into our new home this Summer. My grandson loved swimming in the "channel of man groves. He made friends as well with other children visiting. I would highly recommend this Airbnb to anyone who appreciates the quiet and calm, yet can travel not to far to all kinds of fun things to do. When we arrived we were greeted by Heather and Jess, both very friendly and informative. Also, I loved how the Airbnb was decorated, very up to date with fun and whimsical decorations. Great place to experience...will return.

Clean quiet and comfortable
We enjoyed being away from the hustle and bustle for some time in what seems to me as old Florida. Glad they had a mallet for the delicious stone crab.
My homes are a part of my family's legacy on Florida's Gulf Coast. In the late 1880's my family moved to Aripeka for the climate; they stayed for the fishing, birds, dolphins, manatees, and more. In Aripeka, I invite you to have a true Florida adventure, try exciting new foods, or to simply sit on your porch and enjoy the view. Aripeka is a place to appreciate life. I welcome you to the true Nature Coast whenever you're able to join me.
