Cette grande cabine moderne est nichée dans les bois de la communauté Wolf Laurel Resort, une communauté de parcours de golf fermée dotée de toutes les commodités que vous souhaitez pour une escapade amusante. Commodités et privilèges inclus dans le Country Club et le Village Club. Golf en option. La beauté des montagnes environnantes et la sérénité de la région vous feront peut-être vous promener au chalet ou au Country Club, mais la ville d’Asheville n’est qu’à 30 minutes de la route, où vous pourrez déguster des restaurants de classe mondiale, des boutiques pittoresques, et beaucoup de musique! Visitez le centre-ville d'Asheville, mais ne manquez pas West Asheville, Weaverville et Mars Hill (la ville la plus proche pour ses épiceries et ses restaurants et une ville universitaire). Vous adorerez l'attitude décontractée de la région, les gens sympathiques et les produits frais de la ferme. Une fois que vous visitez, vous pouvez ne pas vouloir partir. Thank you for staying at our property Amanda. Very clean is always the goal, and my personal view is to make the home so clean a baby can crawl around in confidence. I personally inspect every property prior to guests arriving, and for the school age kids visiting, the home is pretty easy with that large lower level game room. Property allowed for us to bring our dog - which made the trip that much more enjoyable. We visited during the winter and therefore did not use the pool. I do highly recommend a 4 wheel drive vehicle and/or chains for your tires to navigate the mountain during winter.

It was extremely accommodating for our family. Room for everyone and something to keep everyone entertained and private areas to relax from the gang too. Nice local hiking areas. Asheville always has something going on. Great vacation!

Very relaxing and great closel by trails

Loved the area and big enough for the family Christmas. No salt or pepper or things in that nature so bring cooking foods along and the kitchen was though very handy with there tools and kitchen supplies.

The perfect mountain retreat for us!

Our stay was amazing! This was by far the best home we have rented over the years--perfect for the entire family. The kids LOVED the downstairs/game room area, while the adults stayed upstairs relaxing on the couch or deck (most of the time). Nice views, quiet location, and the home was extremely well-stocked with everything we needed for our time there, which made things super easy. We look forward to visiting again in the future!

Excellent vacation home!!

We had a wonderful time at this wonderful home! So much to do inside and out! The rooms were clean and comfortable, kids and adults loved the ping pong, darts and foosball, the Village Club pool, playground and pickleball were used a lot, hiking to Big Bald Mountain was fun and close by, Bobby and Mary Lou Hicks were always available and very friendly! So quiet and peaceful sitting on the porch, reading and sipping coffee! We will stay here again!!

Perfect Mountain Cabin Close to Skiing

We had a wonderful time at this mountain cabin, which has everything. Great game room with a pool table, ping pong, football and darts. Beautiful stone fire place with gas fire. Hot tub is perfect for warming up in the snow. And there is a great ski resort just minutes away inside the community. The hosts are gracious, quick to respond, and very helpful. We could not have been happier with our stay.

Overall great property.. its about 40 mins from Ashville something to consider if you are specifically traveling for Ashville.

What a wonderful getaway!!! Quiet and remote but not too far from the highway, surrounding towns and Asheville. Even if the weather doesn't cooperate, there's plenty to do at the house and within the neighborhood as well. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again!!!

Weekend Getaway

Our family really enjoyed the house. Great location, private, quiet, and close to the Big Bald Hike path and Wolf Laurel Ski Resort. If you’re using the basement area in the winter, take advantage of the space heaters! The downstairs gets much colder than the upstairs but the space heaters work well; there are enough extra blankets for the really cold nights. We had a minor issue with the disposal, but the owner was prompt with a response and the property manager came out to resolve the issue within a few hours. This home was exactly what we thought it would be. Highly recommend.

Thanks for visiting Keagan. When enjoying the fireplace on the main floor, that is where the central home heating thermostat is located, so the fireplace causes the heating thermostat to think it is hot enough, you just have to bump the t-stat to compensate if you have the fire going main level. Yes there are space heaters downstairs, and another fireplace:). So lots of heating options. Look forward to hosting your family again!

Mostly good mountain retreat

Overall, we enjoyed our stay at the cabin. The house is very well stocked and has just about everything you need. We enjoyed the community amenities - access to hiking was great, and the fitness center was surprisingly well equipped. The game room setup downstairs in the house is fun and provides plenty of entertainment options. There are some lovely views in the community, and it's very quiet and peaceful. A couple of things to be aware of, based on our experience: The house itself doesn't really have a view. You'll have to explore the community to find a great spot to enjoy the mountain vistas and/or the sunrise and sunset. We enjoyed sitting at the 10th tee for sunsets. The wifi is very inconsistent. We know we're up in the mountains and we can't expect the same service as at home, but it was frustrating having to reset the modem several times a day and having trouble joining a virtual meeting or streaming TV on more than one device at a time. We were mostly on vacation but did have some work to do and it was really challenging to manage. We left having enjoyed a relaxing week up in the beautiful mountains, and would recommend Wolf Laurel to anyone looking for an escape!

The home was clean and well furnished inside. The game room was a big hit! Unfortunately, the downstairs is damp and has a musty smell. People with asthma would find this difficult. Also, the decks and outdoor furniture need to be power washed.

Hi Barbara, I am sorry you experienced an issue with "a musty smell". As we indicate in the welcome packet, as the host we live in the community and are always happy to assist during your visit. Next time you enjoy a VRBO home, alerting the host to anything during your stay gives us the ability to fix or clarify the situation or question. I never had any "musty smell" issues, and we run a dehumidification system in the lower level to insure there is never any musty or humidity issues in the summer. Your visit was on the tail end of the more humid summertime months, this area is technically classified as a rainforest, which is wonderful, and adds to the magic of the area. Outdoor furniture can get a little dusty and because this commuity is surrounded by national forests, our 5,000 acre+ private and gated, community is in the woods basically. The outdoor teak furniture was recently upgraded to the "poly wood" brand for all to enjoy. Appreciate the feedback and wanted you to understand we take all feedback seriously. Next time please let the host know during your stay so the host has the opportunity to correct anything or to clarify. Bobby, Host

Week in the Mountains

This was a fully stocked cabin; the first we have encountered. The layout suited our needs perfectly and there was enough to keep us entertained while at the cabin. The only downsides were how dirty the outside cushions were for the table on the deck and the mattresses. The downstairs bed seems to be broken and it was like sleeping on a slope. Overall, we all had a great time.

Nice mountain get away

Owner was great responding to any requests or questions that we may have had. We had family coming from 3 different states and the house fit us just fine. Kitchen was very well supplied with dishware and great large pots and pans for the cooking that we all did. The deck area was a family favorite and where we fortunately (great weather)were able to spend most all of our time as well to eat about all of our meals. The downstairs area was a little damp upon arrival but quickly remedied with dehumidifier. All of the activities that were available on that level was a nice surprise and appreciated. The golf community activities were enjoyed by us all and highly recommend the golf cart tour of the spectacular course.

Hi Tina, Thanks again for visiting this summer. Really happy you quickly realized the dehumidification in August in the lower level mitigates any summer stickyness. This home is located at over 4,000 feet elevation in a rainforest, so while summer feels like summer, the high temps are always around 72 degrees in the summer months. The cooler summer temps are a big draw, along with all the commmunity activities, so we are very happy you enjoyed your visit. Bobby, Host

House was very nice. And cosy. Just like a mountain house. Layout was excellent. Upstaits was very comfortable. Roads were ok. Loved the Club in the community. Golf very hard. You needed to be mountain goat,but the views were spectacular. Don't miss a ride around of the course. The owner provided everything you needed. I mean everything Just bring food. Bobby was excellent. Negative thoughts. We liked to sit outside and enjoy the weather and covered deck. Seating outside was TERRIBLE. The porch outside the kitchen was great but the chairs were small and dirty. The table was worn out. The table and chairs by the Hot Tub wete filthy. The adrironack chairs were beyond belief. Place mates were filthy. Could have used a chair in the downstairs bedroom. A lot of light bulbs wete burnt out or not working.

Perfect Location and Wonderful Hosts

We definitely hit the jackpot with this home! We had two families with kids ranging from 6 to 15 and everyone was thrilled with the stay! The house itself is in a gorgeous location with views you could enjoy forever. There were tons of activities and games as well as everything you would need in terms of linens, kitchen needs, etc. Lots of extra blankets, pillows, towels, etc. I'd say the only thing I'd consider as a negative was that the mattresses might need upgrades but otherwise the place was fantastic. Beyond that, the Wolf Laurel community was fantastic!! The kids had so much fun playing tennis, fishing, and hiking just on the property itself. We did take some trips to go rafting and into Asheville, but we spent a lot of time hanging around Wolf Laurel. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. Lastly, the owners were super responsive and helpful. All in all, it was a fantastic stay and we had lots of memories we'll take home with us!!

As your hosts, we love the summer camp for adults vibe, that is the flavor we enjoy and we live here year round, near this property. Nature is everywhere and we love experiencing four seasons, and there are lots of activities in the community and area, while being very private and exclusive. When visiting a home in a gated community, an area you may be visiting for the first time, rest assured you will be able to reach us should you need anything during your stay, or if you have a quick question about the home prior to booking or your arrival. You are not flying solo all on your own, we are here to help make your stay smooth and informed.
