This cottage was renovated to maintain its charm, but with updated bathrooms and kitchen. The location right on the water is perfect for sitting on the porch, watching the birds fishing and the tide coming in and out. The kitchen was well equipped. The cottage felt isolated, but is not far from Brunswick for shopping and other activities. We enjoyed our stay.
Brought our boys to get away from our house for a few days during COVID. Everything went smoothly, the spot is fantastic with your own little rocky point to relax on. Kayaks were great, and management company quick and responsive to getting a few (very minor) issues fixed upon our arrival. Bring your own life vests for kayaks. Property well appointed, all the cookware seemed brand new, grill had propane to cook on, no real complaints. Did some of their puzzles on the rainy days. This one is on our list to stay again.
Beautiful secluded property located on a dead in street into property.
Kitchen is well stocked.
Wifi works great.
Upstairs: Comfortable king (sleep number) bed along with one shared bath and another bedroom with twin beds.
Downstairs: A queen bedroom, with hall bath next to it.
Large living area that is a little awkward.
TV located in a corner that can only be seen with two chairs. Sofa is around the corner-quiet, but unable to watch tv movies with others. Unable to move tv so that all could watch, so they had to use the uncomfortable dining chairs for viewing.
Views from porch are amazing. Watched the tides, birds, an eagle and a seal surprised us one day in the cove.
Some gorgeous sunrises and sunsets, too.
Kayaking in cove is relaxing and smooth. Just watch the tidal patterns to make sure you can easily get back in!
Close (15 minutes)to many good restaurants and hiking trails. Cliff Trail is great!
90 minutes from fabulous Farnsworth museum in Rockland. While bearybybis McLoonâs Lobster Shack we all flet was rhe tastiest-though Ericaâs 20 minutes from the cottage was very good, too!
Pammies for ice cream!
Dolfin Marina for âniceâ dinner and sunsets
Coastal Botanical Gardeness less than one hour in Boothbay. Wonderful!
Less than one hour to Portland airport, so easy to pick up friends that flew in.
Our friends that joined us for 6 days loved it so much they booked for next year!
Looking forward to coming back!
This property exceeded our expectations. It was clean, cozy and right on the water. We enjoyed our time on the porch looking out onto the water. This was exactly what we wanted!
This place was amazing. It had a perfect rustic feel in the living room and bedrooms but the kitchen and bathrooms were clean and modern. Surrounded on three sides by water on your own peninsula. The porch was very relaxing with comfortable rocking chairs. Incredible sunrises and nice breezes through tons of screened windows. Kitchen was well equipped. Kayaks allowed us to explore the coves. Would definitely stay again if weâre ever back in Maine.
The photos donât do the place justice. The house is exactly what youâd expect for a cute cottage by the sea. Has all the appliances and kitchenware you need, which was amazing since we stayed 10 days. The beds were comfortable and comfortably fit all of us. My pup (adult bernese mt dog) loved the house! Itâs super pet friendly and has a good amount of land right outside the house to walk your dog around. Also the floors and carpets are really easy to clean.
Also the VIEW! Itâs amazing and doesnât get old. They also have 2 regular chairs and 2 rocking chairs outside on the porch that overlooks the cove. It was wonderful watching the tide come in and out and seeing all the birds. Also easy access to the water if you want to kayak or just explore the rocks/shore during low tide. Would highly recommend staying here. And the property group was really nice and easy to communicate with.
Great home on its own little peninsula with an authentic taste of cottage living on the coast. The on property kayaks were a big plus as it sits on a beautiful cove and harbor to paddle around.
Wishing there was a fire pit, but we made our own down on the rocks (only usable at low tide). Interior is rather dark, but we adjusted lights to brighten up a bit. The only real glitch was that we had a septic backup into the house while we were there and although we were promised that it would be cleaned up when we returned from a day out, it wasn't and we ended up spending our evening doing the cleanup ourselves.
Overall, a good experience.
What a fantastic way to unwind! The Card Cove cottage was beautiful with comfy beds, a well-appointed kitchen, and stunning views. My best friend and I enjoyed sitting on the deck reading, talking, and watching the local wildlife, including a seal! The property felt secluded and allowed us to fully relax during our stay.
Perfect place to relax.
Lovely deck and view.
Updated cottage vibe.
Great for bird watching (saw three bald eagles fly by, Osprey fishing)
Kayaking on cove is great, a very protected body of water.
Many spots, beaches and hikes, to day trip to in surrounding area.
Property was exactly as listed! Wish I was able to spend more time to enjoy the beautiful view and spend some time kayaking right outside the door of the property! Harpswell is a beautiful place to visit.
The location of this cottage is spectacular! Incredibly serene with nature all around. This cottage has so much charm and for us is the perfect blend of rustic and modern. It was very clean and well appointed. The management company was very responsive and everything went smoothly. We definitely plan to return to this hidden gem!
Beautiful place to watch the tide go in and out and gaze at the amazing stars. Our toddler loved exploring the tide pools and the big yard. The house has been recently redone and has nice bathrooms, appliances, kitchen stuff, etc. The porch is perfect. We loved using the 2 kayaks and even saw some seals. It is still an old house and pretty creaky, so it was helpful for all the members of our family to go to bed at the same time!
