Bienvenue au Sanderling Cottage! Ce chalet confortable entièrement rénové de 3 chambres, 2 salles de bains (6 couchages) est adapté aux chiens et situé à seulement 10 minutes à pied du village et de la jetée sur St. Île Simons. Cette nouvelle location de vacances vient d'être entièrement rénovée, avec une cuisine bien équipée ouverte sur un spacieux salon / salle à manger donnant sur la magnifique cour arrière. Il y a un salon séparé, une chambre principale avec lit king size, une chambre d'amis avec deux lits jumeaux et une troisième chambre avec un lit queen escamotable qui peut facilement être convertie en bureau ou salon. La grande cour arrière privée et clôturée est un endroit parfait pour se détendre, laisser les enfants jouer à des jeux ou pour que le chien de la famille puisse courir! Situé dans un quartier calme des habitants, il a un accès facile aux nombreux sentiers de vélo et de marche que l'île St Simons a à offrir. Donner aux clients le sentiment d'être loin de tout, mais à moins de 5 minutes de tout!

Tous les rassemblements et événements de groupe dans cet établissement sont limités au nombre d'occupants (6 personnes). Les événements tels que les mariages, les dîners de répétition, etc. ne sont pas autorisés.

Great Christmas Stay

we had a lovely time at the house over Christmas. the house was well lit, kitchen fully stocked with all the equipment we needed, and the layout of the home was very spread out. our dog loved the wide open backyard. the house was close to the pier area and had easy access to everything on the island. we would give the house 5 stars and would definitely stay here again.

Coastal Georgia vacation

Sanderling Cottage was great. So close the the lighthouse area and the wharf. Short drive over to East Beach. The cottage was comfortable and clean and just the right size for five of us. We would’ve liked a regular bed in the 3rd bedroom instead of the Murphy Bed. It was a bit creaky and not as comfortable. The yard was beautiful and great for our pup. We would definitely stay again!

Just what we needed

The house was perfect for what we were looking for during our stay. Everything was very clean and all items we needed were provided. Communication with the host was very prompt. We also appreciated the gear rental services provided that dropped off bikes at the house for our stay duration. The neighborhood was very safe for bike riding/walking around with a 2 year old. We also liked the layout of the house where two groups of people could stay on opposite sides of the house for extra noise control. The fenced in backyard was also enjoyable. Would highly recommend!

Trip to St Simons

The house was super clean and well-furnished. The kids and pups enjoyed the large fenced yard. We especially loved being able to walk to restaurants and parks. Woukd stay here again!

What a Wonderful Cottage.

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Sanderling Cottage! So peaceful and quiet, even with the airport close by. Everything one could need was provided: very clean, very well decorated, just the best spot for my DH, myself and my sister (this was a Silly Sisters' Vacation/Birthdays' Adventure). Even our Boston Terrier loved it. Thank you so very much, and we hope to visit again soon. Connie Bentz

Great dog friendly place ever

The house was really adorable. But I fell in love with the backyard stayed out there for hours sitting underneath the oak tree and their chairs. Just put a fan on me and you could stay all day and my dogs absolutely loved being back there. The kitchen had everything you needed to make dinners at home The master bedroom the bed was very very comfortable, and I fell in love with their sheets. In fact, I took a picture so I can order them for my bed at home. Will come back

Perfect for Dog Owners

This property was wonderful for us traveling with our dog. The back yard was perfect for him to run and play with his ball. The house was well appointed and very clean. The beds were very comfortable. Everywhere we went on the Island was super dog-friendly. We had a great vacation. Would definitely recommend.

Great house

This property was clean, well maintained and spacious. Big fenced in backyard was perfect for our dog and the hammock was my daughter's favorite spot! Upon our first shower we noticed that the drain was very slow. We contacted the property manager and it was fixed immediately. They were great in communicating. We would definitely stay here again!

Loved St Simon Island

Check in and check out was very easy. Great location in a quiet neighborhood and not far from downtown pier. The backyard was great for the fur baby. The house was nice and clean. If we ever find ourselves back in SSI we would definitely rent again!

Immaculate and updated cottage by the pier

This was the perfect getaway for me and my 2 dogs while our house was getting reconstructed from a flood. The cottage was immaculately clean and had everything we needed. I will be back.

Excellent - except….

Internet and cable issues as mentioned by several others. Maybe this is a SSI issue rather than a property specific issue since we stayed on SSI earlier in the year and had the same problem with another property (not associated with Lilmar). Very clean, nice neighborhood, comfortable bed, well stocked kitchen, and prompt communication with Lilmar (they did their best to resolve the issue). I think this will be our last visit to SSI - but don’t let this stop you if communication with the outside world is not a priority for you!

Cute and CLEAN bungalow, perfect for a week getaway!

We stayed for a week in June at the Sanderling Cottage and we love this place! First off, it is the cleanest rental we’ve ever stayed in…not even dust bunnies on the wicker furniture! We had 2 kids, 2 parents, and 1 grandparent, and this cottage was the perfect size for us all to have separate spaces but be cozy together during gathering times. Perfect backyard for our very large dog…actual grass in the backyard and very sturdy fence. The owners have truly thought of everything and anticipated every need. The location is central to all the things we were there for…7 minute drive to East Beach, 3 minutes to the village, and far enough away to be quiet and private. We will 100% book to stay here the next time we come to SSI!

Not recommending this property even though it is a well stocked house.

Have to say I didn’t know we were right in the front yard of the airport. Crazy noise along with the construction across the street. I had a dog and this really should have been stated by the property manager. It was freezing this week we were here and the heat couldn’t keep up with cold. Half the windows in the house had the cold and moisture coming right though! Soaking wet windows and crazy cold! No cable ; just a lot of free channels offering nothing… the combo lock at the back door only worked twice during our stay which really had me wondering if someone else had access while we were there. The dishwasher only worked in one specific mode and it took 3 times to figure that out! Some instructions on the dishwasher, and Murphy bed would have been appreciated. The amount of money we were charged for off season- and then freezing on top of it- was totally ridiculous considering the issues. I do not recommend this property.

Wonderful Property (BUT)

The property was absolutely wonderful in every regard except one. We had a big problem with the internet service, which also sometimes affected the television service. We contacted the property manager who was very nice and promptly brought a "mobile hot spot", which gave us a second internet option, but that too failed from time to time. In previous comments on this site and otherwise it seems that the problem with the internet service has been known. Again the property was otherwise perfect as to cleanliness, location, neighborhood and as equipped. However if I was to stay in St. Simons again I would want some assurance beforehand that the internet service had been corrected. If I were a professional on vacation or just a person that uses the internet a lot, I would not be satisfied with the current internet service.

Perfect Weekend

The house was so clean which is the most important thing to me. There is a fantastic detailed notebook with all the information you will need for your stay in St. Simons. Beds were SO COMFORTABLE! Sheets were fabulous. We absolutely loved the pickle ball paddles and found the courts which were walking distance from the house. I loved all the windows, the yard, the games! It was a great weekend away.

Lovely home

We enjoyed this home. Was on a very quiet street but close enough to beaches and town. House was well appointed and very clean. Beds were very comfortable and pillows were too. Two things would have made our stay better: TVs in the bedrooms and a pool. All posted in the listing so I was aware ahead of time. We travel with one of our dogs do it’s challenging to find a comfortable place to stay that’s clean. This house didn’t disappoint. The host was very receptive to communication ahead of our stay and we honestly didn’t need them during our stay. We would definitely stay here again

Great place!

Really enjoyed our stay. I improvement needed though, the internet signal is intermittent and cuts out, often for 1hr or so. I think signal to house is the issue. When out, both the WiFi and Ethernet from router is out.

Wonderful place

We had a wonderful stay. House was the perfect place. Kitchen was great and was stocked with everything you needed. The king bed was so comfortable, something you don’t often come across when renting. Great location and a very quiet neighborhood. We would definitely stay again.

Beyond Perfect

This cottage was absolutely perfect and if one was in the market for a home on SSI, this would be the one. Spacious, large fenced rear yard, friendly neighbors, and right in the heart of things. Within walking distance to the pier, lighthouse, shopping, restaurants, and the amazing Mallory Park, this is where we’d all want to be. I ended up staying by myself - husband was in hospital- but my pop and I found so many new adventures to explore. This is a 3-bedroom cottage, with one king, the singles, and a Murphy bed. And the kitchen was beautiful- the blue glass tiles looked handmade. (Master bath was a bit short on counter space, but wasn’t a problem.). I hope to stay here again, this time in spring with my husband. LOVED IT!

Adorable home and dog friendly!

The house was very comfortable for my husband and I to stay, along with our two dogs. The backyard was large enough for the dogs to run and play, and it had a nice privacy fence. I loved that there were outside dog toys already in the backyard. There is a nice patio with a table and chairs to enjoy the evening as the sun goes down. We didn't use the grill out back, but it was nice and clean for the next renters to use. The house was well stocked with everything you could imagine. I loved everything the kitchen had to offer. Plenty of kitchen gadgets and appliances for one wanting to use them. The master bedroom was all we used, but it was very comfortable and spacious for a rental. It took a few days for us to get used to the noise of being so close to an airport, but once we got used to it, we would sit out on the front porch and watch all the planes take off. The neighborhood is very nice, safe and friendly. I would recommend renting this house for anyone visiting the area.
