Home Away From Home

The property was amazing! It unfortunately rained most of our stay, but with the hot tub and ping pong table we kept our boys entertained. House was setup nicely and had plenty of room for our family. Enjoyed the pool at Gate 3 and saw some wildlife as we drove in and out of the resort. Will definitely look to stay here again. Thank you for the hospitality.

My daughters located the property as they wanted us together. Pool & hot tub was good for adults & kids. The games were a good bonus. Expect 15 mins from Hwy 27 to get there. Wife & I liked their pizza at sales office. You can call & order takeout on-site & for us a short drive. The property manager was good getting back on pre arrival questions I had. I wouldn’t hesitate to book again !

Needs some cleaning and new stove.

Stove was not in good shape. Two burners did not work. Oven did not heat properly. Carpets need to be cleaned or replaced. Walls in hallway/stairs needed to be wiped down. Grill caught on fire due to not being cleaned/build up of grease underneath burners. Had to use a fire extinguisher to put it out, then clean the entire grill. Bathrooms were clean and beds were very comfortable. Nice large yard for kids to play. Pools were nice and clean. House was very comfortable for 4 adults and 4 kids. Hot tub was clean and worked well. Screened in porch was nice with plenty of chairs to sit and relax.

Nice relaxing location for a quiet getaway

House was just as advertised and appeared to have all we needed. There was one bedroom on the main level and the other 3 bedrooms were on the lower level. Two of those bedrooms on the lower level had private bathrooms. Nice yard for the kids to play ball. Hot tub was a nice feature as well as the ping pong table that was all located on the screened in porch. The neighborhood was extremely quiet through the week but we did have some neighbors on Friday night that liked their music loud and watched the game on their upper deck. We just took the kids inside for that night as their music was less than tasteful, but we took the opportunity to play the board games they provided. It was a short walk to the boat dock which the kids enjoyed skipping rocks there and hearing their echos. Pools were already closed during our stay in September and there isn’t much entertainment in the nearby town of Burnside. We had a couple bad experiences with local restaurants so we ate at the house the rest of the week. We hiked to the Natural Arch which was well worth it and visited the Cumberland Falls which were beautiful! Good house for the money.

We absolutely loved our stay!! We were upgraded to this property since the one we rented hot tub had broken down, and we were so very thankful! Pictures on this listing do not do this property justice .. book, you won't be sorry!! Plenty of room for myself and my two daughters, and my two best friends with their daughters! Beds are comfy, kitchen was fully stocked, hot tub and fire pit areas were amazing .. even a closet full of board games. The perfect getaway for a much needed best friend vacation!!

Early Christmas trip with family

Myself, husband, two adult sons, wives, 12 yr old son, 12 year old foster child and 2 grandkids stayed in four bedroom, three bath beautiful cabin with fireplace. We were disappointed that this close to Christmas there was no holiday decor. The cable, internet, telephone was out the entire stay and the hot tub leaked but with no TV or internet it gave us time to spend together and the water temp was great. We ordered 5 calzones and bought a meduim size wreath, received one dollar and some change back out of 2 one hundred dollar bills which was pretty expensive but the calzones were huge and the wreath was well done! They offered us a different cabin but we declined because my son has multiple medical supplies which I had already gotten set up there and I had already started dinner for everyone, not to mention we did not relish packing all the gifts and kids back up in the rain. Despite the minor setbacks, it was a pleasant stay and my family enjoyed our time together.

Property had everything we needed. We issues with one toilet and it was fixed promptly. The corn hole game was used daily. The beds could use some new pillows. Overall we had a great time.

Short weekend

House was great. Plenty big for large group. Nice fire pit at night. Hot tub was a favorite by kids but had little problem keeping water temperature hot. Only other small thing is that the a lot of tv remotes were missing batteries. But overall would come back

Wonderful quick getaway for 8 exhausted educators.

As soon as my friends and I were vaccinated we planned a quick girls trip away. Everything about this property was wonderful. We really enjoyed the fireplace, hot tub and the incredibly comfortable couches. There was space for all of us to spread out and read when we wanted to and then come together to eat dinner as a group. We also enjoyed walking around the neighborhood which was quiet, and quite lovely. The management group was quick to respond when we had questions and accommodating. I highly recommend this location.

somewhat dissapointed

This property was advertised as a resort with additional amenities. At the time we stayed these amenities were not available and that was not clear on the ad. The pictures of the property were not entirely accurate either. It showed a pool table in the picture but when we got there it was a bedroom instead. As the time of our arrival approached, I was looking for additional instructions as to how we were to get inside the resort gate that was pictured. I was frantically calling as we were approaching only to find that the office was closed. I left an email, called, and spoke to a VRBO representative to no avail. and no solution. Luckily the security guard for the place saw us having trouble at the gate and came out to help us. He informed us that we should pick up our packet at the office drop box which contained our keys and the gate code. I am thankful for this and that guard should get a raise. As we started using the house, we found that there were insufficient kitchen gadgets and spatulas for the amazing outdoor griddle that we were to use. The screened in porch, hot tub, and tv system were all fine. The corn hole game was also enjoyable. The checkout process was less of a headache but again no real instructions other than in the packet. The restaurant nor the store was open so for everything we had to travel the 8 mile windy road to get anything. While my family had a good time after the initial fiasco of checking in, I would not stay anywhere in this resort again.
