Incroyable, l'une des meilleures propriétés au bord de l'eau sur la rivière Upper Toccoa! Reposez-vous et détendez-vous sur le porche surplombant et écoutant les cascades. Tubing, kayak, plongée en apnée et pêche juste en face de notre cabine. Nous avons l'un des meilleurs emplacements sur la rivière Toccoa. Allez faire des promenades à travers la forêt nationale à distance de marche. VTT et kayak du lac de Blueridge derrière notre chalet.

Amazing location, walk right out the door to the River. Amazing Host! Rick met us on the porch and went over anything that you could possibly need!Brownies were so delicious !Very good restaurant close by also.

Cozy River Retreat

The property was very clean and well equipped. Rick met us upon arrival and gave us a tour of the place and explained all to us. He also gave my son, grand son and myself a tour of the area showing us the good fishing locations, river tubing locations, mountain trails for hiking and some unique land marks in the area. Rick was a great host and treated us like family. We had a very enjoyable week long stay and will do it again in the future

We fished, hiked and took in as much of the local flavors and folklore that we could. The Toccoa River setting is beautiful. The host met us at check in, insuring every need was met, offering advice and information, and a local tour that we thoroughly enjoyed.

Wonderful weekend getaway

We loved staying with Rick and Janet for a weekend in the woods. Their hospitality was so sweet and thoughtful. The cabin was cozy and felt like we were at our grandparents house. We had gorgeous weather and even though we didn’t catch a single fish, so much fun was had by all. We will be back!

Blue Ridge/Aska adventure area

Rick and his wife were absolutely the greatest host ever and went out of their way to make everything perfect! Cabin is situated on the upper toccoa river in blue ridge and makes for a perfect getaway for fishing or tubing or just relaxing . We will certainly be back! !

Loved the Location

We absolutely enjoyed the time we spent at the cabin. Rick and Janet were great hosts, from making us a pan of delicious brownies to a tour of the area with Rick. We have stayed in several vacation homes over the years but this one was the best furnished house of anyplace we’ve stayed. Everything we needed was there. It was just like being at our own home. Loved the location and we are already planning on going back!

The Best on Toccoa!!

Extremely happy with our stay, location is beyond perfect for fishing, floating and just relaxing. Cabin is super stocked and Rick is the best host we have ever encountered. Definitely going back!!

Beautiful Place!

The cabin has everything you need! Being close to the Tocooa river and Blue Ridge Lake allowed for multiple activities, excellent location. Lots of hiking around area and waterfalls. Will stay again! We were able to do s’mores, swimming, fishing, tubing multiple times, grilled food outdoors. MR. Rick had dry firewood for us with starter. Rick and Janet were excellent host, welcomed us with brownies which kids loved! Rick showed us around and kids loved the ride in his ATV!

20th Anniversary

An absolutely wonderful trip with an amazing host. Our rental was beautiful, clean and well stocked with anything we could have possibly needed. Rick went above and beyond to make our stay perfect and his sweet wife made us brownies that we enjoyed the whole weekend. Highly recommend!!

Just what we needed

Rick’s place was absolutely perfect for our family. It was clean, had everything we needed, and the river was just perfect. Mr Rick treated us like family; taught my daughter the best fishing holes, left us some bait, and made sure she and my son had a great time despite the rainy weather. We will be back.

Comfortable, gorgeous cabin & location!

We chose the Castaway Cabin for our annual family trip to the mountains & it was fantastic! We had my husband & I, our 12 & 9 year old kids, golden retriever pup & 1 grand parent. We had plenty of room, all accomodations needed & the hosts are very helpful with tips on the area, but also give you your space. The river is absolutely gorgeous with lots of outdoor activities: fire pit, horseshoes, kayaks & a privately owned river's edge, so lots of space to fish! We highly recommend this cabin!

Beautiful getaway

Rick and his wife, Janet, were wonderful hosts. The cabin is on the most beautiful pieces of property I have ever seen and its proximity to so many activities makes it a top notch stay. We will absolutely be back!

Most Beautiful Trout Stream in North Georgia!

Had a wonderful Memorial Day weekend with wife and three teenage boys. House is right on beautiful clear river, which is filled with trout, and tons of fun to float on tubes, paddleboards or kayaks. Safe for even young kids but fast enough that it's fun for teenagers. Location, location and location. The house is on an extremely steep slope however, so be aware if you have anyone in your group that has mobility issues. You will get a bit of a workout walking from river to cabin.

Lovely winter weekend

We stayed from Saturday-Monday, the weather was amazing though cold, and the fishing was wonderful. Rick met us at the property and helped us get settled, they brought us fresh brownies for a snack that were divine. Rick also took us exploring on Saturday showed us the good places to fish and some local history. The house was clean and warm, the beds comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed to be able to make coffee and meals. We had the best time and can not wait to go back again!

What a Great Place!

We could not have been more pleased with our getaway to the Castaway Cabin. You are steps from the Toccoa and the view from the balcony is fantastic! The accommodations have everything you need in the kitchen, bedrooms, and bath. We spent 6 days there over Christmas and it was wonderful. Rick and Janet were great hosts, always available and super friendly. We now consider them friends and can’t wait to book with them again!

We had a great experience with son and family at the lodge in Blue Ridge. Rick and his lovely wife even made us brownies which the grandchildren were absolutely delighted. Everything from how clean the lodge was to all the extras. Made our stay perfect we will be back.

Wonderful Experience!

My daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed our brief stay at Rick and Janet's lovely cabin. Rick was so helpful while we traveled to the cabin and once we got there. Being able to enjoy Janet's delicious brownies when we arrived was such a sweet surprise (pun intended). The cabin is super cute and exactly as described--comfortably furnished, well-decorated (love the movie posters!), and clean. The kitchen was stocked with all the necessities, the bathrooms had plenty of towels, and the beds were very comfortable. The proximity to the Taccoa River and Chattahoochee National Forest truly cannot get any better! The scenery was incredibly beautiful, and we enjoyed taking our dog for walks through the forest. Another plus is the Iron Bridge Cafe that is super convenient if you want to grab a tasty breakfast; it also has drinks and snacks. We cannot wait to visit again for a longer stay! Thanks again for your warm hospitality!

Vous êtes reçu par Rick

Rick is a custom home builder and retired commercial Oilfield Diver. Building one of a kind homes in Georgia, Florida and Louisiana. Janet is a Glass Artist for more than 40 years working in stain glass, bevel glass and custom Jewelry.

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

It’s one of a kind water front with water falls on the Toccoa River! A great place to get away and relax! Trout fishing right in front of our cabin. Hiking trails by cabin. Only 15 minutes from downtown Blueridge.

Quels sont les atouts de cet hébergement ?

It’s the best location on the Toccoa River. It’s very wide here and we have beautiful waterfalls that our guests enjoy playing in. Tubing fishing Diving the water is so clean and clear here! This river flows into lake Blueridge, coming out of the mountains from underneath springs. If you love the water and mountains this is the place for you !!
