A great apartment to stay in when visiting Tavira
We visited in October and had a nice long weekend in Tavira. We had a very warm welcome from Regina. The apartment is spacious for two people, beautifully decorated and has everything you'd need for a stay - having the roof-top terrace was definitely an extra bonus. The location is close to the centre and an easy walk to plenty of restaurants and bars, probably about 5 minutes from the ferry that takes you to the sandy beach on Tavira Island (definitely worth a visit). Some people have commented on noise from the street and we can confirm the apartment is close to two bars, however both bars were quiet and we both got three good night's sleep - so it wasn't an issue for us.
It is allways a great pleasure to have such a nice feed.back from my guests. Thank you.
Perfect just as advertised
A typical small Portugese town house tucked away in a quaint side street about five minutes walk from the Roman/Moorish bridge in the centre of town. The roof top garden with sunscreen, tables, chairs & sunloungers is an absolute gem as is the outside shower. Lovely neighbours and a great & amazingly cheap franganaria at the bottom of the lane. The owner Regina who is a lovely lady but was extremely ill when we arrived still met us with her daughter and gave us a tour of the house.
Thank you very much Regina

good value for money
We had a fantastic time in Tavira (again) got lucky as festival week was on. We were a bit anxious as previous review complained about excessive noise levels from bar in road.
But this was not the case! the bar had 3 or 4 late nights in our 14 day visit but stopping in a city centre I would expect that. With a 5min walk into the heart of Tavira was just what we wanted. We had a problem with wifi and the owner was out within 15mins and got it sorted, we would happily go back except for 2 flights of stairs to get on the lovely roof terrace being a struggle as suffer with ill health.
Conveniently situated for all amenities, comfortable and lovely, helpful owner.
enjoyed our stay
Lovely house in a great town...but take earplugs!
This is a lovely traditional old Portugese house in the centre of the old town of Tavira. We have been to Tavira a number of times but this was the first time we have stayed in the centre. It was a great location as we could walk to all the bars/restaraunts and also catch the ferry to the Isle of Tavira. Unfortunately. there was a downside to this as there is a British bar two doors down which is licenced to open until 2.00 am. and as the bedroom of the house is at the front, the tables and chairs of the bar are on the pavement more or less under the bedroom windows. Being an old house there is no modern double glazing and some nights (not every night) the noise went on until 2.45 am! We spent those nights sleeping on the two sofas in the living room!
Regina is a lovely lady and the house and location we could not fault, hopefully the bar will not stay open for long as we would go back!
Other than that we had a great week (the fantastic weather helped!) and got on with the locals who spent the evenings sitting outside chatting in the back cobbled streets.
If it wasn't for the noise from the bar some nights,it would be 5 stars.
Thank you for your comment. It is a new bar, the one you are complainig about; that will bring new doble-glassed windows for the bedroom! Next time that you'll come, you'll not need hear.pluggs!
A true Portugeese house close to centre of town.
This is a perfect place to stay if you are looking for true Portugeese liviving.
This charming house is located very close to the centre and also very close to the supermarket.
The house has everything you would need and is decorated with lots of interesting art objects.
The roof top terrace with lots of plants was our favourite place of the house. Since the weather was perfect we had all our meals there. A little tricky to carry everything up the narrow stairs, but we got used to it.
Our booking was last minute and a little tricky since we didn't know exact date of arrival, but Regina was very patient with us and answered all our e-mails within minutes. She met us when we arrived and showed us everything we needed to know, and gave us lots of ideas what to do in the area.
We highly recommend Regina's house, and we would rent it again on our next trip to Tavira
Couldn't be more happy with your nice comments! Thanks a lot for the tulips. Its one of my favorite flowers. I really hope that you'll come again!
