Spent a week at the rental. Good location within a few blocks of downtown Ponchatoula. Well done apartment in historic building. If you are into spaces with character, you will not be disappointed. Nice space. Was supplied with the necessities needed for a comfortable stay. No issues. Will look to stay again when we are in the area.
Hello! Iâm Lisa, a Louisiana native. Iâve been a resident and business owner in the area for nearly 20 years and a short term rental host for 6 years.
I purchased this property nearly 20 years ago. I had many happy memories visiting Ponchatoula with my family from holding baby chicks at the feed and seed with my grandpa to antique with my mother. Recognizing, this town was growing but retaining its small town charm, I decided to make an investment. This town is a lovely getaway but minutes away from jumping on the interstate to New Orleans, Baton Rouge, or the Gulf Coast.
My building is a historic 1925 pre WWII structure that housed the areaâs Nehi Bottling Company. Today itâs a mixed used space with cute boutiques below and the apartments above where the bottling company offices use to exist. The building sits on Pine St, Ponchatoulaâs Main Street; walkable to shops and restaurants, bordered by live oak trees.
