My family and I enjoyed our stay at Jakes place! The cabin was clean, spacious, and had everything we needed for our stay. The cabin was our base camp for 4 days while visiting Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks.
A large gathering space in a beautiful house. Plenty of space in the bedrooms and the porch with 2 swingsâawesome! Very comfortable stay with family.
Jakes Place was the best home base for our Yellowstone trip. We enjoyed their hot tub with a view of the woods. Very quiet and peaceful. Amenities included everything you needed for cooking. Very clean and spacious space. I would definitely stay here again.
We enjoyed our stay Jakeâs Place. It was easy to find, clean and had everything you would need. If I had it to do over again I would have stayed a little closer to Yellowstone but that was my fault. The only negative thing is the lock is definitely difficult to work. Overall a good experience.
Our family enjoyed our stay at this beautiful home. Plenty of room and loved the area. The house needs a little updating, more cleaning and a binder with all of the specifics about the home. Also, needs a new front door lock. It was very difficult to lock and unlock. All in all we were pleased with this rental.
The cabin is beautiful in a remote setting. It was well stocked with blankets and dishes for days! There was a great supply of cooking spices, oil, and those sorts of essentials that you hate to buy for just a one-week stay. I wish we had seen a moose!
During our stay, the neighbors were doing construction and clearing trees off their property. This was an annoyance on its own as it was noisy all day long, but one day they accidentally downed a power line across the road. A quick text to the property owner to let them know had the power company on-site in no time. The property managers were very helpful, responsive, and kind. The hot tub was great - even on hot summer days as a way to relax.
A few things we'd recommend for a slightly more comfortable stay. While the blankets were amazing, the sheets were very starchy and firm. Maybe some people's preference, but not ours. Bathrooms had a lot of amenities, but shampoo and conditioner were poor quality (Suave) and the bottles were nearly empty.
Upon entering the property, the bushes are very overgrown, taking over much of the entryway stairs. This was cumbersome when loading and unloading our vehicles at the beginning and end of our stay.
Property managers note that mosquitoes are bad in their welcome email and boy are they not kidding! Be prepared with mosquito spray! Some citronella candles or outdoor abatement methods would help exponentially.
We had a great time at Jake's Place and would definitely recommend to any other groups of friends or larger families. The location made it easy to get to Yellowstone but was still quiet and comfortable after a long day exploring. The kitchen had everything we needed and the large porch was an added bonus.
Wonderful stay with a beautiful place. Property manager was easy to get a hold of with any questions and snow removal was done well and accommodated 3 vehicles.
I was here with three of my old college buddies on a fishing trip. We are all 65 years young and we really enjoyed the house. Although we ate out and did not use the kitchen or ever turn on the TV, the house was perfect for what we wanted: very clean, space to move around, private bedrooms, great bathrooms & shower, and an outdoor area where we could drink, smoke cigars, and BS. I would book it again in a heartbeat if ever back in the area.
The front door was a little hard to figure out. (Lock and unlock). Was a tad noisy at night. But that was not the homeowners fault. Really loved the house and enjoyed our stay. đ. Overall was great.
I gave everything 5 stars except for accuracy of listing which I only gave 4 stars. This is only because I don't think they give this property enough credit and some of the things described might need a little updating. We stayed for a little under a week in late June. Nights were cool and days were the perfect mid 70's early 80's. The pictures do not do this property justice. The wrap around deck was absolutely wonderful. The 2 swings were a bonus and enjoyed by many of us. The GPS actually worked for everyone in the party and got us back everytime no problem. There were a few things to do in the immediate area and obviously much more if you drove out a ways. We looked in the binder most vrbos keep for things to do in the area. Please note it was a little out of date, I say this just because we called on some pricing for things and they said we haven't had those prices in 4 years, but it was still helpful. There are a few restaurants in the area and a couple of general stores too. It was a nice easy 30 ish minute drive to Yellowstone's west entrance. The cabin was just so amazing. The hot tub was excellent after a long day of walking the park. Wifi worked great. Nice big kitchen and plenty of seating indoor and outdoor. I would highly recommend staying here. You definitely will not be disappointed with this cabin and it's amenities.
We took our children and grandchildren to Yellowstone for the week. Jake's Place provided the perfect 'base camp' for our daily trips into the Park. Excellent property!
The property was very nice. The cabin is exactly what is depicted in the pictures and description. The location is excellent especially for accessing snowmobile trails. Itâs located in a quiet neighborhood with minimal traffic. There are some areas close by for sledding as well as snowmobile riding. The hot tub was nice to come back to you after a cold outdoor adventure. The house was adequately supplied with kitchen items, bed linens and towels. The fireplace is wood-burning and there is no wood supplied for use which is somewhat of a downside to this property. Other cabins that we have rented in the winter had gas fireplaces which made it easy or else they supplied wood for use. This cabin has a very large family room with tall ceilings and at times it was somewhat cold and drafty because it is heated with electric wall units. The other rooms in the Home are heated adequately with the wall electric units. Only the large Family room is not heated adequately without the fireplace. Outside temperatures range between -12 to 20° during our stay. This likely had some effect on how the room felt. If staying at this property plan to bring your own games and puzzles which are sometimes supplied at other rentals. There is a nice flat screen TV, Wi-Fi, DVD player and access to Internet applications such as Netflix and Amazon prime video. The furniture is in good condition and thereâs plenty of seating for everybody. My family and I had a great time and would highly recommend this property to others but would suggest that the property owners supply wood for the fireplace as this would add significant ambiance to a winter get away.Overall, great place to stay with a small group of 10 or less.
We rented Jake's Place to accommodate our family and use as an amenity-filled base for our visits to Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks. We loved the great room, fully-stocked kitchen, hot tub and firepit (and took care to fully douse our fires) for gatherings for dinner and in the mornings. We also enjoyed that everyone had a comfortable bed. While the location is 35 minutes from the closest entrance to Yellowstone and much further to Grand Teton, we knew that going in. We also enjoyed a day at Cliff Lake, which we basically had to ourselves.
In sum, really nice place - we agreed the layout was ideal for a vacation home that could accommodate a large group.
Jakes place was a gorgeous place to call home after our adventuring into Yellowstone and riding the trails in island park in our teryxâs. We had a great time and only wished we had an extra day to fully enjoy the amenities at the cabin.
Property location is great - there are other cabins/camp sites close, but we weren't bothered by them. Love that this place is surrounded by trees, feels a bit secluded even though others are close and there is a ton of activity going on all around and nearby. The swings on the porch were a bonus, I didn't catch that when we booked it, but they were a huge part of the fun we had at this place. The firepit and benches are great, hot tub was great. The lounge chairs on the back deck need to be replaced, they are all pretty questionable, but love the idea to have them there. Comforably fit 12 adults and teens. The directions to get there were off coming from the north, it is Rainbow Dr not Rainbow road and you take a left instead of a right... but it wasn't hard to figure that out. Great stay! Would rent again.
