Could not get in condo Given inaccurate door code and never got key code spent from 4pm til 6:30 pm in the 94 degree heat in the sun up on 3rd floor which had 2 flights stairs outdoors to condo not mentioned in description of property until after rented then noted in detailsLocal 24/7 contact number never answered on hold more than an hour so while my husband held on line I called customer service and after 20 minutes we got an answer That young lady was helpful but it took her multiple calls to her bosses to get an override code with 16 digits for us to get into the condo Which we did at a little before 7 pm still could not get the key code to open the lock box for the key So everytime we went down the 30 stairs to our car to get something we had to prop the door open or be locked out unless we reentered the 16 digit codeRIDICULOUS!!The condo looked very clean but had an old house odor I noticed the probable cause when I opened the the air conditioning closet the filter was taken off and just lying in the closet dirty and loaded to the hilt with lint. I took a picture of it.So I had to shower and wash my hair after we got in because I was drenched WITH SWEATNeeded a hair dryer NO HAIRDRYER!.I decided to cook I needed a skillet and a spatula NO SPATULA!In the bathroom I had a water bottle took the cap off It fell down the drain Thereâs no drain stopper in either bathroom! I was charged 65 twice for the rental companies One VRBO and one for Vacasa on the same rental
I had an incident to happen on Saturday (7/19) for over 5 hours. My stay was scheduled for 7/18-7/20. Up until the incident, everything was ok but 2 things. The patio chairs were rusty with dirty water, the patio floor was rusty and terrible, there was no light outside the front door, and there was only 1 garbage bag available. The incident was unbearable. We were not able to get into the unit for over 5 hours. The keyboard battery went out and lockbox wouldn't open with the available codes. I had to call 911. The police, fire station and the paramedics had to come out. As promised, no one from the property agency came out. Customer support was not able to help. Every tactics that they had failed. I had an aunt to visit us as this was a family reunion weekend. She's 85yos. I had a few brothers that were just visiting for a few hours. We are alll senior citizens. Everyone was on medication. The medication was locked in the unit. We had no water as the hot humid weather that night was unbearable. My husband and I had less than 20% of battery life left on our cell phones. We had no call back after the incident. No one should go through that type of incident.
The place was fine but keypad's battery went out. The master lock did not work. We were outside for 4 hours and couldn't get in with telephone and text support fri the property owner. It was the worst experience with a rental that I have ever experienced. I had to call 911 for emergency assistance. I was told by support for hours that local assiswas n the way. No one showed up. My 85 year old aunt had to have medical attention during this whole situation.
Checked in Saturday, July 12th and had no AC! Started calling and complaining about 5pm and still had no AC until about 9pm. Very unprofessional, got the run around several times and no call backs like advised. Fast forward to Sunday. The light in the kitchen, the microwave, the tv in the living room and the outlets all stopped working. Called a couple times with noone picking up the phone. No call backs. Nothing! Took me until Wednesday to get someone out there for that issue. There were cheese its under the dresser in the master bedroom. Assuming it doesn't get cleaned behind. The shower had stray hairs in it in the master bath. Half the stuff that was stated to be there for use, was not.
The condo met our needs for a long holiday weekend. The beds were comfortable and it had all the amenities we needed. The condo was clean and in good condition when we arrived. We appreciated the toiletries and dishwasher/soap/detergent provided. Also made use of the beach chairs and were very pleased with those being available. A few small things to note: the walls seem to be very thin, we could clearly hear guests in the unit below us coughing/gagging every morning at 7am. Beware if you are a light sleeper. The parking is not side by side, but in a row, so we were constantly having to move cars in and out to get vehicles around. Its also a narrow space under the building, so if you have an oversized vehicle, you will have issues. We mostly had to let everyone out of the vehicles and then pull it into the parking spaces. We had never traveled to orange beach before and were surprised at the extensive medians in the main road and how much uturning we had to do. To go left towards orange beach you have to go down approximately half a mile and u-turn back towards the stores/restaurants. So we were forced a mile out of our way every time we went out. We also were not familiar with the beach rules. Beware that if you have a canopy or any other shake structure aside from a traditional umbrella, you can only set up at the very back of the beach area. Just something we were taken surprise by.
It was a nice quiet and clean place to stay. Prepare to bring your own baking sheets and spices if you want to cook. Check for hornet nests before enjoying the patio. Located for an easy drive to public beach access. Nice and quiet area.
This was perfect for our family of four. Quiet, secluded area, yet, close to everything. Check-in and check-out were super easy. We highly recommend and we will be back!
p.s. kitchen knife needs to be sharpened
We stayed here with the sliding patio door unable to lock! Thankful we were upstairs ! the host turn off the WiFi so we couldnât watch tv! We reported this multiple times and nothing was done about it
We took our daughter and a friend to the beach. Loved that we were close to everything. The condo was comfortable and homey enough. We had a minor plumbing issue that we reported and was taken care of quickly. Would stay here again!
The place was nice and the location was good as well. Only think the mattress in the master bedroom need a new one and shower in the bedroom in master bedroom need be updated and there wasn't a iron. But other than that everything was Great. We would book again
We had a great long weekend trip to Orange Beach and Romar Village was the perfect spot, 5 minute drive to the beach and groceries and a Walmart super close by!
