Superbe maison avec jardin clÎturé

Laburnum Cottage se trouve dans la cour, Ă  lÂŽarriĂšre de Devonshire House, un Ă©tablissement sobre de ‘Bed & Breakfast’. Elle a son propre patio, un coin dĂ©tente pour 4 personnes, avec un petit Ă©tang et une petite cascade. La maison a une atmosphĂšre pittoresque mais charmante, cÂŽest une oasis accueillante dans l’effervescence de la ville de Bath, ville classĂ©e au Patrimoine Mondial de lÂŽHumanitĂ©. A 15 minutes de la merveilleuse ville de Bath, avec son histoire et ses nombreux touristes. On entre dans la maison par une porte dÂŽĂ©curie, directement dans la cuisine intĂ©grĂ©e avec espace repas pour 4 personnes. Un petit vestibule mĂšne au grand salon (canapĂ©-lit, TV, vidĂ©o et lecteur CD). Une salle de douche se trouve prĂšs du vestibule. Par un escalier en spirale, on arrive dans une romantique chambre double, lumineuse et aĂ©rĂ©e grĂące aux lucarnes. Sur la mezzanine se trouvent un WC et une garde-robe contiguĂ«. Parking gratuit dans la rue, ou parking plus sĂ»r dans la cour.

La ville de Bath: Bath a beaucoup de sites historiques intéressants, une architecture incroyable, de superbes parcs et de quoi faire du lÚche-vitrines à volonté.

A propos des alentours: Les villages pittoresques de Lacock, et Castle Combe, sont Ă  environ 30 min de Bath. Les villes de Bradford sur Avon, Glastonbury, Wells et les Costwolds entourent Bath.



Que s’y passe t-il?: ApprĂ©ciez le Festival International de Musique de Bath, en mai. L’extravagante nuit d’ouverture se fait devant le Royal Crescent. C’est vraiment une expĂ©rience mĂ©morable. Die Wohnung in dem kleinen HĂ€uschen im Hinterhof von "Devonshire House B&B" wurde liebevoll an die architektonischen Gegebenheiten angepasst und war tip top sauber und gut ausgestattet. Die Wendeltreppe zur Empore mit Schlafraum und WC ist zwar eng, aber angenehm zu gehen. Dass das einzige WC oben liegt, ist nachts ein großer Vorteil. Personen ab 1,75m können aufgrund der DachschrĂ€ge oben jedoch nur noch bedingt aufrecht stehen. Die beiden Gastgeber, Louise und Chris, sind ausgesprochen freundlich und hatten jede Menge Tipps auf Lager. Der kleine Außensitz ist eine nette kleine Oase und lĂ€dt zum Sitzen und Essen ein. Ein kleiner Supermarkt (Tesco-Express) ist nur wenige Meter entfernt. Wer wie wir aus einer lĂ€ndlichen Umgebung kommt, wo nur Vögel und die RasenmĂ€her der Nachbarn die Ruhe stören, wird den Verkehr an einer von Baths Ausfallstraßen wahrnehmen. Die Vorteile sind jedoch nicht zu verachten: Die Innenstadt, der Bahnhof etc. sind fußlĂ€ufig in 20 Minuten erreichbar, oder man steigt praktisch fast vor der HaustĂŒr in den Bus. Zum berĂŒhmten Aussichtspunkt auf Bath "Alexandra Park" gelangt man praktisch fast ohne weitere Höhenmeter. Wer nicht nur Bath sehen will, kann mit dem Zug schnell und einfach nach Bristol und Cardiff gelangen. (Fahrradfahrer können auf eine stillgelegten Bahntrasse sogar nach Bristol radeln.) Wir haben die 7 Tage in Bath genossen und können die Wohnung und die Region empfehlen.

Velbeliggende og hyggelig cottage

Vi havde en dejlig uge i Tegn Cottage.Vi tog pÄ ture ind til Bath, besÞgte Stonehenge, Salisbury, Winchester, Oxford, Bristol og Cotswolds.Vi havde en fin daglig kommunikation med Lis, og hytten gav en god ramme for madlavning og afslapning, nÄr dagens program havde vÊret hÄrdt.

Ideally placed near the centre of Bath

All details of property and how to access it made it easy to find and get inside. The property itself was a delight to stay in. The only slight grumble was that the towels had a damp/musky smell to them. It was a 15 min walk down to the city centre, so fairly quiet and peaceful after a days walking, seeing the sights. Walking back is all uphill but you can get a bus back for just 2.40 via contactless payment - just make sure you tap in AND off to ensure the correct charge. Unfortunately we never got to see Louise but saw Chris several times. We took his advice of the free walking tour of Bath and thoroughly enjoyed it. His recommendation for the Scallop Shell restaurant was spot on - fish, chips, mushy peas and a mug of Yorkshire tea was lovely !

Louise was in touch with all the information we needed. There if we needed help, but left us to our own devices. Excellent property in a wonderful location. Bath centre within walking distance, parking space so you have the option of going further afield. Will definitely return again

A lovely cottage close to the city

This was a lovely cottage, only a short and scenic walk away from the city centre. It was extremely cozy, clean and enjoyable with many cafes and parks surrounding the area to enjoy. The cottage was a very peaceful and nice place to come back to after a long day of exploring the city. We loved every minute of our stay and would definitely come back again!

Magical Mini-Moon in Bath

We received a warm welcome & arrived to find a cosy, well equipped cottage. Super easy to hop on a bus into town. Loads of information on things to do & places to see. Our host Liz really went above & beyond to make sure that we had a lovely, super dog friendly break. Highly recommended, on all counts.

A lovely small cottage near Bath City centre

The cottage was a lovely small property behind a succesful B&B, on one of the major trunk roads of Bath. The cottage was clean, modern and comfortable. Public transport into bath city centre was regular, and the cottage was near the start of several countryside walks. Overall I would highly reccomend staying.

Perfect break in Bath

Just had a perfect little stay in Bath. The fact that we could park up and leave our car for the duration of our stay was great. Just a 15min walk to the city. Such a good location. The cottage is so cute, perfect for 2 and very well equipped with what we needed. The lady looking after it was super friendly. A perfect 20th wedding anniversary break.

Autumn break in Bath

Lovely compact cottage with everything provided. Louise is a perfect host. We enjoyed walking into Bath and using the excellent regular bus service back (be careful you find the right bus stop outside the bus station in front of the river Avon where buses turn into the station). Make sure you visit the unique Thermae baths. Close enough to walk to the Tesco Express.

Lovely coach house in great location

This is a lovely little coach house behind a B&B a few minutes outside Bath. Louise and Chris (hosts) were very attentive, the apartment was spotlessly clean and had everything we could need. Chris gave us a couple of coupons and let us know the best things to see/do in Bath, which included a fabulous free walk around the city. Bath is lovely and we enjoyed everything about our weekend stay. Highly recommend!

A lovely little cottage in Bath

This was a perfect base for our weekend exploring Bath. The cottage is very small, but cosy and well equipped. It is within walking distance of Bath centre and we enjoyed a nice scenic walk in to town. There was a Tesco express 2 minutes down the road which was very handy. The hosts were very friendly and gave us a warm welcome.

The Cottage

The cottage is small but adequate and the layout is abit strange with the toilet being upstairs via the bedroom, and the shower room via the lounge/kitchen, if sharing with non family members this can be awkward, hence why not many pictures. My husband is over 6 foot and he found the bedroom in the eves not good for his head and spriral staircase tricky. It is further than a 10 minute walk to town, I'd say 20-30mins, but its a pleasant walk downhill.

Laburnum cottage Bath

This clean picturesque cottage was our home for the month of August and it was the perfect location for us to explore both the city and the surrounding countryside. Information was available for us to plan our adventures. Our hosts Chris and Louise made us welcome and offered any help we needed to make our stay pleasant. The circular staircase to the loft/bedroom area could be a little tough for less mobile guests. Good grocery shopping is a twenty minute walk away - with a bus ride back! There are good restaurants aplenty that will suit all tastes. Jamie's Italian was fun and good food. Lunch in the Pump Room is a must. The race course gave us a chance to watch and bet with some success. We would without a doubt, recommend this rental property to our friends.
