We had such a nice time at the chalet. We were in Vermont for a girlsâ leaf peeping trip, and the three of us enjoyed having our own rooms. The house was spotlessly clean, and very comfortable. We made full use of the kitchen and living areas. The outdoor space is nice as well, and we enjoyed grilled and dined al fresco on the deck. The house is located in a mountain neighborhood, and the lots are large and heavily wooded. We walked on the gravel mountain roads in the mornings, and saw few neighbors. The main house is right next to the chalet, but the owners were not in residence. We practically had the mountain to ourselves, and it was so peaceful and relaxing. Truly beautiful surroundings, with great views and a connection to nature. Wouldnât hesitate to stay here again.
What an adorable chalet, tucked in the trees. Cozy as could be. Perfect for 7ppl. Well appointed with all the amenities a family would want. We will definitely be back!
Born and raised in Paris, french by birth and also an american citizen, I have found in Canada the best of both worlds ! I live in Montreal and come to Jay Peak most weekends, especially during the ski season. I also travel extensively, Europe, Asia, South America, and of course I ski the west.
Living an expatriate life, having moved 8 times in 20 years between three countries, we wanted our four children to feel grounded. They are now scattered, Toronto, New York, Montreal, and the chalet is their beloved family home, where we all gather for family events.
I love being part of a "vintage" development from the 60' yet having more than four acres to insure privacy. The chalet is a place to have fun on all seasons, skiing and all winter sports, also exploring water holes, canoeing, hiking in the summer. The villages are very cute, tourism has not spoiled them, there is plenty of good restaurants.
