My entire family loved this Lake House! It was perfect for our extended family. The spacious rooms gave us the ability to comfortably spend time together. We enjoyed the porch even for such a cold and rainy weekend. This is truly a special spot with being literally right on the water. It was a peaceful, relaxing time for us. We didn't want to leave! My husband and kids are asking when we will be able to go back! Make sure you note that you are required to wash the linens before you leave. I didn't mind doing that but it is a small washer/dryer so make sure to plan for this. You won't be out early if you have a large group of people staying. We booked this for a graduation at Houghton College. It was an easy drive and distance. The kitchen is well stocked with utensils and cookware if you are planning to do much cooking. The local grocery store is minutes away and carry all the basics. Definitely recommend this home. It is well maintained and clean.
We enjoyed this charming summer home. A relaxing and comfortable place , with room to get away by yourself or gather with friends and family.. All the amenities plus extra nice touches: towels, beach stuff, kayaks. Great water-front. Lovely!

We had a fabulous week in this awesome house. It is super comfortable-beds, furniture, & outdoor spaces. We love to cook and eat! The kitchen had every possible appliance and utensil we could need. Thanks for a wonderful, relaxing week!
For our annual ski trip, we decided to try western NY and when we found Cottage 18 that close to Ellicottville and right on the lake for ice fishing we thought it would be perfect.
However, when we arrived at the address listed we were at the WRONG HOUSE!!!!! I used google maps for directions, so you may want to check with the host prior to leaving on your trip to make sure you use what GPS program they use so you end up at the right place. After trial and error, we did eventually find the cottage, because my texts and voice messages were not immediately answered by the host. Thank goodness itâs not a big area.
When we got to the cottage, we found it covered in snow and ice and we had to walk through 6-12 inches of snow to find a shovel that was left by the front door and then proceed to shovel a path down the stairs into the house. This would not have been a problem IF the snow fell when we were there, but to say it was a warm welcome would be completely false.
After a 6 hour drive, commotion finding the house and then an hour's worth of shoveling we finally made it inside. It was nice, but also had a few unwelcoming notes (like mold growing in the grounds that were left in the coffee pot) but overall it was very nice and we were happy to move past the earlier events and begin our vacation.
Later that first evening I heard back from the one owner who was very apologetic about the delay in their response. We talked about the address mishap and asked for some ice or more shoveling to be completed. She said she would "see" but in the meantime we were not to use the stairs that we shoveled and to park on the street instead of the driveway, SURPRISE there were no areas plowed for our cars on the street and we woke up to find that our cars actually slid into each other overnight because of the ice and lack of salt provided. Thankfully no damage was done to our vehicles.
The host were able to find someone to plow/shovel the day after we arrived so when we returned back to the cottage after a day of skiing, we found that another path was shoveled and more of the parking areas were plowed, which was very appreciated. Still no salt though, so we went in search of it for ourselves. There was no salt to be found anywhere, so if you plan to stay here in the winter, you may want to take a snow shovel and some of your own salt just in case. As per the owner, western NY in the dead of winter is unreliable.
There was plenty of indoor space for our familyâs winter get away. The view from the windows was lovely. The kitchen was very well equipped and the place was very clean.
We loved this cottage! Very homey and comfortable with 4 good-sized bedrooms. Cottage is way bigger than it looks and has a GREAT view. Our stay was in November, but a summer visit would be nice to fully enjoy the water and the full-length porch!
This is a roomy, pleasant real cottage.
I am sure in October the view toward the dam tree background would be beautiful. Sunrises are awesome. Porch time in Early November a little cool but still sat out and enjoyed.
Kitchen amenities were great. Brought a blender and crockpot, no need. Well equipped. It was a lovely place to rest our bones. Well equipped.
My family has rented this particular home 3 or 4 times now and we all agree, we just canât see ourselves wanting to stay anywhere else. The view is perfect, the interior of the home invites the perfect atmosphere for families gathering together. The hosts are easy to get in touch with and attentive to any questions we may have. Canât recommend this property enough!!
This property is definitely a hidden gem. I loved the quaint cottage feel - not new fangled fancy shmancy. :) It was beautifully appointed, comfortable and full of everything you would need. Great spaces inside and outside. Our host was very responsive! The location is great - we visited Wilcox Winery, Kinzua Skybridge, Letchworth Park, Castile Cider Mill, Cuba Cheese Shop, Rock City Park and lots of down time on the beautiful porch and binge watching the latest streaming choices way into the night! Perfect fall girls getaway trip!!
Property is beautiful and comfortable! Lots of off street parking, no steps and very private setting. Great docks for fishing and sunbathing. Evenings were spent around the fire and catfishing. The beds are like puffy clouds! We rented a boat from Cuba Lake Marina. The were great and delivered and picked up our boat right to our dock! The sun porch is great for chilly or rainy days and you can fish out the window. Great week with family and friends. Amiee was wonderful and answered many questions for me. Thanks for sharing your home with us!
This was our second time here. Everything was wonderful. Beautiful property, great owners, wonderful family getaway Right on the water with double lot. Terrific enclosed porch for any rainy days. Great view and sunsets. Excellent family memory making.
This cottage was amazing! Clean and comfortable. Comfortable beds. Loved that the owner gave very clear instructions in a book and before we arrived so there was no confusion. Great swimming spot at cottage. Shops in town were so fun to shop. I highly recommend!!!! My kids will never forget that wonderful vacation.
We really enjoyed the cottages proximity to the lake: Near.
We had such a good time with the lakefront, including the fire area, the docks, lounging and seating areas. The indoor spaces were also very pleasant.
Super property! We have been VRBOing and AirBNBing since 2003. We have never been disappointed but this property is underrated. It truly exceeded our expectations! It is obvious this property is well cared for. It was clean, extremely roomy, comfortable and WELL equipped and not with just cheap stuff you don't have to worry about as an owner. The bedrooms were spacious and the beds comfortable. We had two boats and the docks are fantastic. Boats are an investment but I didn't have to wonder if my boat was safe because the facilities were great. There's plenty of off-street parking as well. And Aimee is great to work with. She answered plenty of questions early on as I made numerous inquiries about various aspects of the property. All in all, a great experience - certainly one of the best we've had throughout the years. I HIGHLY recommend this property. Aimee, we want to return. Thank you for sharing.
