Cette spacieuse maison en rondins de 2 étages sur 3 hectares boisés a tout le confort de la maison et tout ce que vous attendez d'une cabine de qualité. Notre cabine a une ambiance chaleureuse et accueillante qui est parfaite pour une réunion de famille. Il peut facilement être partagé par 3 couples. Les enfants adorent la mezzanine. Une caractéristique préférée est la grande cheminée de travail. Nous avons également une table de billard classique dans les escaliers et un piano à épinette. Profitez de la pêche dès votre retour et faites griller des guimauves au feu près du fleuve. Vous apprécierez le plafond voûté généreux dans le salon qui encadre votre vue sur les grands arbres en pente douce vers la rivière verte. Une grande cheminée est le point focal de la pièce. L'étage principal dispose d'un plan en deux parties avec une suite parentale et une suite Queen. La mezzanine avec 2 lits jumeaux est au-dessus de la cuisine. En bas des escaliers, il y a une autre chambre avec salle de bain complète adjacente. Vous pouvez accéder aux escaliers en descendant de l'extérieur par les marches latérales. Il y a aussi une tanière avec un bureau d'ordinateur et un lit de repos, une salle de jeux avec table de billard, un piano à épinette et une salle familiale avec une télévision grand écran.

De nombreuses activités sont proposées à proximité, notamment le centre équestre international de Tryon, Chimney Rock, le lac Lure et Saluda. Activités favorites; rafting, tubing, randonnée, cascades, pêche, golf, équitation. Il y a beaucoup de charmants villages dans la région qui sont amusants à explorer.

Great place to stay!

The property was close to Tryon Equestrian Center which made handling the competition, horse and related matters very easy. Nice place to relax after a long day at the horse park. Steffanie, the Host, was fantastic to deal with!

Absolutely Perfect

We were in and out since we had a horse show all weekend at TIEC, but when we were able to relax, the beds were so comfortable, the pool table was a blast and you couldn’t beat that beautiful, cool river water after a long hot day. Would absolutely love to come here again!

Quiet little gem

Stayed here during a horse show week and it was the perfect getaway and close enough to go back & forth. Typical older lakehouse but well loved. It was perfect for a ladies getaway. Only hitch is that 4th bedroom is only accessed via attic pull down stairs which would be great for kids.... older women not so much. Plan on definitely staying again next year!

Epitome of Relaxing Cabin Retreat

We found the home to be exactly as described.- spacious and lovely - just like the surrounding property. Furnishings were what one would expect to find in a traditional log home - casual and comfortable but also nice. Access to the loft is via pull down ladder (like an attic access pull-down). Kitchen was adequately stocked with pots, utensils, etc. There were screens on the doors which were great for enjoying the cool evenings. Wi-fi and cell signals were fine though we hardly used either as we were too busy enjoying the outdoors during the day and game room/pool table at night. The home is located on a great part of the Green River with some spots around 3’ deep and others less than a foot. Current was mild during our stay and floating around/wading was easy. There was a small beach at the access but getting down to it could be challenging for elderly people as the embankment was a bit steep with soft, sliding sand. One note about water pressure - it was great until our final morning there when the neighbor started pressure washing at 8am. Not sure how that impacted the water for this house but there was a significant decrease in pressure. That was the only problem we had the whole time and out of the owner’s control, obviously. Two teenagers, two adults, one springer spaniel and we all felt it was one of our all-time favorite getaways. Haven’t come back from vacation feeling that relaxed in a very long time. would revisit again in a heart beat.

Great River house!

What a great vacation house for our family of 6. All the beds were very comfortable which is important to me because I have a bad back. The kitchen was fully stocked, the pool table was great and everything inside was very clean. We did end up having to purchase our own River tubes because we could not find any on the property. It wasn’t a big deal to us, but other travelers should be aware. We also didn’t see a canoe anywhere. I didn’t give 5 stars for cleanliness because out back of the property there was some old broken down small tables and plastic bins by the shed. There was also a roll of old screen on the deck. Our favorite thing was being able to go tubing right out back of the property. We really enjoyed the convenience of this! We also loved going to Chimney Rock State Park which was about a 45 minute drive and well worth it. We loved this property and would definitely stay here again!

Fun spot glad we got to enjoy it

We had a great stay. After a long day at the horse park day one our second day was much more relaxed and we were able to come back and enjoy an afternoon on the deck hanging out, having dinner and having a fun few games of pool. I perfectly cute place with lots of extras. We so enjoyed our trip.

Great location for TIEC!

Loved our stay at this property. The house is well equipped, and super convenient to the Tryon Equestrian Center (about 10 minutes drive). Communication with the host was very easy too.

We enjoyed our visit! The fireplace was so cozy and the bathrooms had new towels, shower curtains, hand towels. My daughter enjoyed the pool table. The beds were comfortable. Plenty of room for everyone.

Don't skip out on this place !!

Well I can't say enough great things about this property !!!! Clean, cozy, spacious and so homey. You will not regret staying here !!!!! There was absolutely nothing missing !!! The downstairs is the same size as the whole upstairs and you literally could take multiple families there ! So happy I chose their home and I would definitely stay there 100 more times !!!!

Enjoyment depends on your plan.

We met for small family reunion, sitting in cool breeze, fall leaves, eating meals together. This did not fulfill that due to windows could not be opened, screens were in pile on messy lower deck, LR slider screens broken doors had to be kept shut due to stink bugs, etc. Kitchen had one large pot for meatballs sauce but could only cook portions of pasta at time. Dark inside, several lamps, old, broken switches, bulbs out, or just did not work. Bed linens very old, makeup stained pillow cases. Windows including big gorgeous window by superb fireplace covered with heavy webs as well as broken windows downstairs held closed with boards. Could have been a 5 with some investment of amenities. Pluses- loved location, loved river, bathrooms had best pressure and hot water! Oh, no TVs in bedrooms, this was negative as one with us needed rest, change of scenery and sometimes in a week's vacation you like alone time in PJs watching TV. We cleaned up all webbing, hundreds of stink bugs, left pumpkin spice coffee, took out garbage, cleaned dishes, folded down beds used, left towels used together, put in many light bulbs, tried to fix slamming entry screen door for neighbors sake...nice people with the chickens! With some attention, TLC, would like to return for another weekly visit in summer. Guess it depends on how you accept this input. I spent my career as a quality manager, so maybe too frank?

Beautiful home near Tryon

Loved staying at Steffanie’s home. It was just beautiful, tucked in the trees. The fall colors were amazing. The home has everything you could need. We cooked dinner a few nights, and enjoyed the screened in porch. The pool table was such a fun addition. I love that her parents built this home. You can tell by the different art and collectibles throughout that they had an interesting life and enjoyed their home very much. The neighborhood is extremely quiet. We were minutes away from Tryon International Equestrian Center. Took fun day trips to Saluda and Asheville. Would love to rent this home again!

Thick Cob webs - home not cleaned in a while

Very nice house - just never expected it not to be cleaned in a in such a long time Cob webs In master Bathroom window and downstairs bath. We ended by vacuuming and then cleaning all sheets etc for all beds. Rugs in living rooms had lots of dog hair , paint and cleaning chemicals outside next to pack of crackers on down stairs patio. If it wasn’t for the children - I wouldn’t of cared Also - the cleaning fee is a scam or ur cleaning service is not doing their job. Please credit for any cleaning fees and tax

Peace on the green river.

Some of the description needs a little updating but the owner was responsive and Answered as quickly as she could. We really enjoyed the pool table, and all of the animals we saw deer, fish, a turtle and a tortoise and so many fire flies. Grill was great. Our family truly enjoyed this house.

Excellent - would stay here again

The property was as described accommodating our family perfectly. With 3 full baths, 6 beds and a beautiful deck and screened in porch we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The only problem was that it was too short. Forest City is 20 minutes away and we played video games at the arcade museum, ate at Slims and the Copper Penny and enjoyed Davis Donuts. Pearson Falls was also only 45 minutes away and a 1/4 mile hike, the falls were beautiful. The kids also enjoyed playing basketball and dipping their toes in the Green River. My parents built this log home in 2005 so that our family would have a place to gather in the summers. We have enjoyed many large family gatherings here. It is far away from the hustle and bustle of our busy lives as business owners and parents of school age kids. Our family is originally from northern Ohio. We all migrated south and most of us live in southwest Florida now.

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

We chose this property because it offers a contrast to our regular life style. We enjoy the inspiring views of the mountains and cooler weather than we get in Florida summers. The gated community of log homes provides security but the neighbors know each other and are always welcoming. Wild life is abundant here, deer, humming birds, wild turkey all visit us. There are plenty of family adventures within a 45 minute drive of the cabin.
