Cowan Cozy Cottage

Le chalet tout neuf niché dans les arbres offre tout le confort de votre maison au milieu du paradis. Situé avec un accès direct au lac Cowan, ce chalet est également à distance de marche de la principale plage sud, des sentiers de randonnée, des grands trous de pêche et de nombreux pavillons de pique-nique. Quant aux activités locales, le Cowan Sailing club, le Cowan State Park et le World Equestrian Center sont tous situés à moins de 5 minutes en voiture.

Ce chalet peut accueillir 6 personnes confortablement avec 1 lit queen situé dans une chambre privée, lit Queen Murphy situé dans la grande salle en plus d'un grenier accessible par une échelle à un lit Queen. Tous les conforts de la maison peuvent être trouvés ici avec une grande douche de carreaux de céramique, une cuisine complète avec des comptoirs en granit, des appareils électroménagers de grande taille, une salle à manger pour 6-8 personnes, une laveuse / sécheuse sur place. WIFI et service de streaming fournis.

L'extérieur comprend une grande terrasse de 12 'x 24' face au lac, un grand patio latéral donnant sur la chambre principale, un foyer, un barbecue extérieur et bien sûr la nature de près et personnelle.

Family vacation

We had a great time! The cabin is cute and stocked with all we needed. Our favorite is the back porch as well as all the fireflies at night. We thoroughly enjoyed our time.

Quiet, cozy getaway

We were attending a horse show at WEC but loved getting away to the peace and quiet of the cottage, grilling at night, and walking the dogs. We would definitely stay again! Thank you!!

Extended Weekend Getaway

We were visiting for a performance at the Murphy Theater. The location was so very relaxing and in such a serene and beautiful area. The drive back the lane to get to the cabin was a gravel road. Check in was simple and seamless. There were two other cabins in the vicinity of ours, but you had the total illusion of being out there by yourself. The position of our cabin compared to the others was staggered, so while on the back deck, you can barely see part of the deck on the cabin next door. The cabin was stocked with everything you would need: dishes, pots pans, flatware, a crockpot, dish soap, hand towels, paper, towel, towels, and a dishwashrer. There was laundry soap, fabric softener sheets, towels, wash cloths, extra blankets, pillows, even split wood and lighters for the fire pit, as well as batteries for the flameless candles. There was a path that lead down to Cowan Lake from the cabin. Tom and Susan were extremely responsive to any questions that I had. I loved it! We even extended our stay by two days, and they were extremely accommodating. We will definitely return!

Fantastic Dog friendly place!

We were so impressed by how nice this place is. It is comfortable, well maintained and beautiful. The scenery is great and the fireflies put on a great show every night. We had a great time staying there while attending a dog show at the Robert's Center. The location was very convenient.

Peaceful weekend unwind

Our second visit was just as cozy as the first

This is our second year in a row of renting the Cozy Cottage. It’s a wonderful location to get away from it all while still close to plenty of Cowan Lake trails and Caesar’s Creek activities for the kids. We loved being to bring our dog and find all the amenities to feel like we were glamping. :)

Cabin retreat

We had a fantastic time at the cabin. It was nice and close to the horse show. The fire pit outside was enjoyable every night. Perfect cabin for our girls weekend!

Relaxing Stay

Cabin has everything needed to relax, fire pit, outdoor dining with chairs, comfortable bedding, & wide open space inside to relax. Kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed to cook what we wanted. Second stay and will return.

Very close to 71S which was nice. Quiet area, close to the lake, almost had a lakeview. Tom the owner was excellent, great communication. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Definitely would rent AGAIN!!!

This is such a cute house and perfect for our event we had this past weekend. We were in town for an even at WEC equestrian center and it was so close and convenient. We definitely will rent again for our next show.

Perfect accommodations & awesome host!

Attending a local dog show out in Wilmington, this cottage was the perfect home for us - it had everything we needed inside with a very well stocked kitchen ((thx for the Keurig supplies!)), lots of space to relax indoors and out, and super close to the beach and park to run our dog. The bed was very comfortable for sleeping, the large seating at the table was great for cards/games and the large sectional was great for movie watching. The natural lighting & decor was very weIcoming & the woods added to the ambiance. I would definitely stay here again the next time I’m in the area!

EXACTLY what I needed

Stayed at the cabin for 6 nights while in town for work. Thank goodness all of the hotels were full because I never would’ve found this gem. I needed peace and quiet to rest and study and that’s exactly what this cabin provided. The kitchen was fully stocked and had everything I needed (including an electric kettle!) Communication with Tom was super fast and helpful. Couldn’t ask for more!

Peaceful sanctuary!

I loved my stay at this cottage! The peaceful, quiet setting was a welcomed respite from the daily chaos of a dog show at the Roberts Centre in Wilmington. The drive was very easy and sometimes I went back & forth several times daily. The cottage was larger than I expected, and very comfortable. I greatly appreciated that the owners permitted my two dogs. I hope future renters with pets continue to respect this property so the owner will continue to allow dogs. Thank you!!

Exactly What We Wanted

Perfect lodging for us and our dogs. Location was convenient for our dog event at the Roberts Center. And to top it all off, we got to see the northern lights one night! Highly recommend!!!

Weekend getaway

Cottage was perfect for us. Clean, and secluded. My only disappointment was that we couldnt walk to the water but was a short ride away. Had family over Saturday and was a great time.

Relaxing time with family

We had great time hiking around the Cowan lake, Cesar Creek Park, and Yellow Springs. House was great. Very comfortable beds. Had everything we needed.

Excellent Location

For a writer looking to getaway and get some work done, I couldn't have asked for a more quiet, peaceful, and serene location. The proximity to the lake was ideal and the cottage itself was beyond comfortable. Would stay here again in a heartbeat. Highly recommended.

Stayed for a wedding at the Ren fair.

A smaller group stayed here a wedding at the Ren fair, which was a convient 20 minute drive. There were 3 total beds that worked well for us. Tom was easy to talk with and super accommodating towards us.
