The home was wonderful, and we loved the jacuzzi but the hot water heater was too small to fill up the tub past the jets to use the jacuzzi. It was a wonderful place to stay though. We really enjoyed the house!
This was our second time staying at Cabin Fever. We love it. Had a great time in Townsend! Love going to Cades Cove. Enjoyed the pool table. Management made sure we had everything we needed.
Nice cabin! Private, quiet and far away from overcrowded Gatlinburg. Townsend is our new place to stay, when coming to GSM.
cabin was well stocked, although a new frying pan and can opener would be great and instructions for the tv/cable. We would stay here again.
Great location. Sink had a leak and got fixed same day. Could use a deep cleaning, paint, and a few updates. BUT overall was good cabin at a reasonable rate.
I canât say I loved it because I was very upset with cabin. The cabin needed a deep cleaning plus the air filter was coated in dirt so bad it had collapsed and when it rained water poured down wall over fireplace, plus the upstairs toilet was filthy. I should be refunded for my stay in cabin.
The cabin is located in a beautiful area, far enough away from town to get that mountain country feel. Drive to the cabin wasnât too bad, some roads a little narrow and steep. Plenty to do within an hours drive. If you plan to cook, youâll need to buy everything salt, pepper, oil etc, no basic cooking supplies in the cabin. No directions for where to take trash out. Cleaning needs to be better, the main areas were decently cleaned but needs a good dusting and vacuuming/sweeping of all areas. Game room was ok, had broken and misplaced pieces. Overall for the price, especially cleaning fees and compared to many other VRBOâs weâve stayed at, it was just ok. If improvements were made, it would be a nice place to stay.
Cabin Fever is bright and pleasant inside. Highlights include great kitchen, loft, and oversized master bedroom. The unit is somewhat nestled into the wooded hillside. Distractions: The steep gravel drivewand tight turn-around at the very top may be intimidating to some guests. (There is a more friendly parking area and turn around a bit lower, but requiring an uphill walk to get to the entry door.) Three nearby cabins can be seen out the windows in three directions (November, partial but not total leaf fall.) was
A couple distracting but not serious maintenance issues were encountered: The large black Mr Coffee unit found on the counter is broken and did not work. There was a stain ring in the loft toilet bowl. The welcome mat at the entry door was torn into two halves.
We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Townsend as we always do. The drive up to this cabin was very pretty, and the neighborhood is quiet. The cabin itself seems to be in good repair, and is nicely decorated. First impressions were that the cabin was very dirty. On further inspection we decided to clean everything. I went to the IGA in town and purchased some basic cleaning supplies, and we scrubbed the toilets, sinks, showers, tub, and washed all of the linens. This cabin looked like it had possibly not been cleaned after the last several guests. You should also consider fixing the damaged sheetrock beside the living room TV if the leak has been repaired.
Thank you for the free polo shirt that you left beside the bed, it fit my father-in-law and he liked it after we gave it a good wash. Locating the polo shirt was the first hint that the sheets had not been washed. Also, we would have appreciated if the it turned on in advance so that the cabin was not 89 ° on arrival. Thankfully the AC worked properly and after 4 or 5 hours of cleaning and sweating, we had a nice day in our cabin with only half a day wasted.
Let us know if you get these issues addressed, and we may consider a return visit because we really did like the location and the cabin
The cabin is beautiful!!! It is well kept and clean. We slept in the master bed and it was comfortable. All communication with the company was good. The pool table was a nice extra. The only issue we had was that it was not secludedâŠthere were cabins all around it. When we were on the porch and people were on the porch in the cabin next door, we could hear their conversations. Overall, we had a nice getaway!
We loved the space and privacy of this cabin. Lots of amenities. Almost everything was exactly as expected. We did struggle with the fireplace and never got it to work. Loved the layout of the kitchen and living room. Very comfortable bed.
Celebrated a birthday with golf nearby and excellent restaurants. Cabin was cozy and bedding was so comfy. A pleasure to come back to after a full day of activities.
The ice maker never did work, the sink dripped most of the time. The fan had so much dirt on them it was a bit gross. It was a bit worn down but cozy. If you have a large truck I would not recommend this property. The cabin had many things broke throughout, and we asked when we first got there to have the freezer looked at but it didn't happen for 4 days and still wasn't fixed.
Loved the cabin. The only reason I give 3 stars is that we were trailering motorcycles and this is not a good location to stay if you have a trailer or motorcycles. The road to the cabin and the gravel driveway are very steep. We had to use 4WD to get the trailer in the one small level spot to park the trailer. Since we had not been to this area before, we did not know what questions to ask concerning the terrain for a trailer and motorcycles. Otherwise, beautiful area and cabin and would stay here again if we came without the motorcycles.
