My husband and I arrived late on Thursday night excited for our three-day trip. When we got in, we immediately noticed a strong smell of cigarettes, which was against the rules. It was already late, so we decided not to make a fuss and go to bed. When we got in bed, the bed was collapsed in the middle, so not only were we scrunched together, but our feet were over a foot higher than our heads. The next morning, my husband took a shower and saw pink mold on the curtain. We also turned up the heater to 67, but in 5 hours it had only increased 1 degree of temperature. We attempted to reach out to the property managers and asked if we could move our rooms. We then went out for about an hour. When we returned, we found that they had come in without our knowledge or consent and febreezed the entire house. The smell was overpowering-- I have never smelled so much febreeze in my life, and it makes me sick to my stomach. What was worse was the violation of privacy. We reached out again, but they claimed everything was fixed (it wasn't). We were then put through the ringer, speaking to 4-5 different people, none of whom would help us. They claimed they needed photographs (how do you photograph a smell or a broken heater?). We asked for our money back so we could find somewhere else to stay on our own. They refused. They said they would get back to us, but they still haven't 5 days later. We had to leave that day and end our trip early.
