Wonderful stay at the Lavinia House. Amenities plentiful, good locality to Travelers Rest and Downtown Greenville. Quiet neighborhood. Plentiful parking! Would stay there again!
The house is comfortable and beautifully decorated, ideal for gatherings. The living area and kitchen/dining room are very spacious. There is a steep stairway leading to the 2nd floor bedrooms which could be an issue if you have mobility issues. The rest of the house is easily accessible. Everything was very clean and tasteful. We would definitely stay here again when visiting Greenville.
We came to Greenville for the Weezer concert, and this was the perfect place. It is walking distance to the arena, and the house is super cool and comfortable. I will stay here again next time!
We were very pleased with the location and the house itself. Check in was a breeze and the owner was very nice to work with. Plenty of room for a family of 8. We highly recommend staying here.
The house was wonderful! It was so immaculately clean. It really was lovely. We did have an issue with the lavender bedroom that the air conditioner did not work. This did cause for some discomfort. There were not enough washcloths for everyone. As we were a group of older ladies, it would have been nice to have curtains or blinds covering the doors.
The house was very clean and had plenty of room for all of us! We were in town for a wedding and it was a decent location for all the wedding activities!
We absolutely loved our stay at The Lavinia House. The ownerâs hospitality and attention to detail is exceptional. The Lavinia House is great for a large family. We highly recommend this rental. Perfect location in downtown Greenville!
There were four of us who met when we were freshman at Penn State and weâve been getting together in different locations for the past twenty years. Everyone enjoyed Greenville and loved the Lavinia house and location. It was so comfortable and was very âwell equippedâ.
We loved it!
Thank you Rhode and Mark
Peggy
We enjoyed the house very much. It had lots of gathering space. Especially loved the porch. Some of the beds could use updated mattresses that are not so noisy but the rest of our stay there was lovely.
Thank you so much
We traveled only as far as Asheville to stay in this lovely completely renovated craft style home. I picked it because we could walk to Bon Secours for the Hootie and the Blowfish concert. But we also walked to the Saturday Market. It was so clean and clutter free. Beds were comfy, nice big dining room for meals and games. Our host responded to my few questions quickly. A good time was had by all!
Four of us stayed and we each had our own bedrooms - 2 upstairs and 2 downstairs. We loved the Kitchen/Dining area - spacious and well-equipped. It is not within walking distance to downtown Greenville, but it is a short and easy drive to get there. Communication with the host was excellent. If we should return to the fascinating small city of Greenville, we would stay at Lavinia House again.
Such a nice home and location. Easy walk to downtown, shopping, dining, 1.1 miles to the Reedy River.
We celebrated the birthday of our 92 year old father/grandfather and it was made so special by the accomodations of the house. Games around the dining table and chatting, in the sitting room and morning coffee in the shade on the porch.
Thanks for all Mark and Rhode!
Your hosts Mark and Rhode fell in love and dated in NYC. We started our married journey in NJ. We have two daughters, a son and a grandson. We enjoy traveling and have spent a year in Den Haag, the Netherlands were we had the chance to tour Europe. Mark's work has taken him abroad to Russia, Malaysia, South Korea, China and Uzbekistan. Our love for travelling has taken us to many beautiful places in the world. Rhode was born and raised in the Dominican Republic making her bilingual Spanish and English. She has the gift of hospitality and is very passionate about it.
We were attracted to this historic bungalow in downtown because of its location and charm. The front porch is inviting and the Bon Secour arena. can be seen a short block away. The dining room gets lots of natural light from the great bowed side windows and the large front window. The kitchen is spacious and open to the dining room making it a very nice place to gather. The living room provides another amazing space with a charming and bright reading alcove. The whole house has been tastefully decorated with every bedroom having a theme. Much love and time has been poured into the renovation, decorations and equipping of our Lavinia house. We trust our guests will enjoy all the loving touches added.
