À propos de cet hébergement

Charmante petite maison avec toutes les commodités, courte distance de marche du lac Érié et vue sur le lac au loin depuis le pont arrière. Situé dans une petite communauté endormie de chalets au bord du lac Érié. Couchage 4 personnes avec un lit double et un lit de jour avec un lit gigogne (qui peut réellement dormir la 4ème personne). 2 chambres à coucher, cuisine, petite salle à manger, salon et salle de bain avec douche. (Petit mais toutes les nécessités dont vous aurez besoin). Nouveaux matelas, micro-ondes, cuisinière, réfrigérateur, air, chaleur et déshumidificateur. Propre et soigné! Boire de l'eau, c'est bon à boire, de nombreux invités ont commenté la fraîcheur de l'eau. Il y a une étagère de jeux remplie de jeux pour des heures de divertissement pour toute la famille. Au quai du bateau sont des tables de pique-nique pour une vue des yeux d'oiseau du lac. Les bateaux de mise à l'eau ne sont PAS autorisés - c'est un quai privé pour les habitants. En parlant d’oiseaux, soyez attentif aux aigles qui pêchent souvent dans le lac. Leurs nids sont situés dans State Game Lands ainsi que les Bluffs, et passent par notre région tous les jours. Il y a aussi une table de pique-nique en plein air sur le côté du chalet.
Cottage situé sur Old Lake Road à East Springfield, une communauté appelée "Summer City". Composé d'une communauté de maisons d'été autrefois, maintenant transformant en quelques années, mais encore quelques maisons d'été strictement. Le chemin de terre venteux qui mène à la communauté cachée est un secret caché pour un moment de détente en famille.

Erie vacation

The cabin was so cozy and clean, made us feel at home, neighbors are super nice, and so much to do in the area! Definitely recommend staying here the place has awesome history it’s just simply amazing ! And beds are very comfortable! Was an awesome stay !

Pleasant stay

The cabin was adorable, with a beautiful morning view of the lake. We enjoyed drinking our morning coffee on the swing facing the lake, and the fire pit was a nice touch we made sure to put to use with our kids and roasting hotdogs for dinner. Would book again

Lots of charm!

This little neighborhood has so much charm! We loved the evenings watching the sunset over the lake. The cabin is cozy, clean, and equipped with everything needed to enjoy a vacation. It’s not a far drive to all the amenities of Erie, but there is lots to do closer to the cabin too.

Clean, convenient to restaurants, grocery stores and ice cream shops! Also just a 15-20 min drive to fun activities in Erie. Nice neighborly atmosphere in a woodsy setting. We’re planning to return next year!

Relaxing Getaway from Pittsburgh

Lynn and Mac have created a lovely, warm, newly renovated space. It was the perfect relaxing getaway from Pittsburgh where we could celebrate my son’s 6th birthday. They had everything we needed. Lynn communicated beforehand to give me directions since the GPS location isn’t to the exact house location. We enjoyed hanging out in Erie for a couple of days, which was about 30 min away. Grateful to have this place to connect with family and de-stress.

Great Getaway

Since we are first timers using VRBO I wasn’t sure of what to expect. We’ll, everyone exceeded our expectations. Our experience was a 10+! Great little cabin tucked away from the hustle bustle of Erie but with- in driving distance to whatever you want to do. So quiet and cozy! The hosts communicated with us along the way and we’re more than attentive to our needs. Very enjoyable 1st family vacation for us. Memorable moments made here!

Money Well Spent

We walked in to just purchase a Stacyc bike for our son and ended up leaving with the Stacyc AND a Kawasaki 110 R. We have been riding them since we got home and enjoyed the experience and the willingness to see all they could do for us and we are always big on supporting local and will continue to support Carns.

Cabin Time

My husband grew up in Erie and spent a lot of time on Presque Isle. Staying in a cabin on Lake Erie seemed like a perfect way to ease into this experience from his past. And it was! The cabin was fantastic! So comfortable, clean and beautifully made. We spent each morning and each sunset on the patio, porch swing, or down by the boat dock. During the day, we took the half-hour ride into Erie or Presque Isle. Lynn & Mac were fantastic hosts, and even came over when we first arrived to let us know the mayflies flying around were NOT mosquitoes and we’re harmless—which we were grateful to learn!

Great Little Cabin

My husband and I stayed here for our anniversary. Its a cute little cabin with a wonderful outdoor shower as an added bonus. The cabin is minutes from the Ohio border and you can see the lake from the back deck. There are a lot of great things to do in the area. We did the Erie Zoo, Football Hall of Fame, Presque Isle, and the Classic Car Museum. Lynn came to greet us soon after we unpacked. She gave a lot of great recommendations for activities and places to eat in the area. She was very responsive to all of our questions. She lives in the area as well. We felt very comfortable knowing she was nearby if we needed her. Ask Lynn about her about her Eagle pictures!

The perfect getaway

The cabin was just as described, maybe even better. We loved everything about it. The hosts were super nice and greeted us as soon as we got there. Check in was a breeze and in seconds we were exploring the cabin and the lake. You can see the lake from the swing behind the cabin and it is a short 2 minute walk down the hill to see and experience it all. My wife and I loved sitting in the swing and just enjoying the view. The back patio was perfect for having our breakfast every morning. The beds were very comfy and the cabin was always the perfect temperature. We had a nice bonfire and made s'mores at night and also enjoyed playing Yahtzee in the cabin. They have shelves full of games to choose from. The area is secluded (which we loved) but also only a 10-20 minute drive to shopping, restaurants and even wineries in Ohio. We loved everything about the cabin and the location and look forward to returning as soon as we can.

Had a nice, relaxing stay but its small

Cottage was just as described. It's old and small but due to the size of the bedrooms could only comfortably sleep a couple and maybe a small child. We had to use the other bedroom for our suitcase as the room with the double bed had no room for one. The bed is literally touching 3 of the 4 walls with only room to stand between the 4th wall and bed. Bathroom was also tight with only a 32-34" shower stall but was fine for us. No TV, radio or alarm clock so I would suggest bringing your own. We brought our own portable DVD player and watched movies. The game shelf was tailored to families with games for more than 2 players. As described in the ad you can see the lake but you are not on it. The lake access is really just a community boat dock which was a tad disappointing. Yard is a great size and our dogs loved it but it's only semi-private as the cottage is in the middle of the housing community and there seemed to always be cars driving by. The location was perfect! 20 minutes from Conneaut OH, 20 minutes from Walnut Creek and 30 minutes from Presque Isle. Tons of local farmers markets and wineries and restaurants to choose from. Overall we had a nice stay but felt for the amenities, size of the cottage and the price we paid we could have found other options for similar price right on the lake with direct lake/beach access.

Anniversary

My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights to celebrate our Anniversary. We loved the coziness of the cabin, although the bedrooms are kind of small, the beds were comfortable. The cabin is settled in a nice, quiet private community, and has all the amenities you'll need. The property is big with a gas grill, a nice firepit, a bench swing that overlooks Lake Erie, and a hammock for relaxing, reading a good book, or taking a nap! There's a gravel road where you can walk to the picnic tables to see Lake Erie and listen to the waves while watching the sunset. Lynn met us at the property upon our arrival and was very informative about the cabin and property. Her and Mac live just below the property and it was very nice meeting her and knowing she lived close by in case we needed anything or had any questions. Definitely a 5 star rating! Anne & Tony K.

Cozy, beautiful and peaceful

Very cute cottage, with a lovely yard, and fire pit. We had a camp fire every evening. In the morning I drank my tea on the swing with a view of Lake Erie. Cute "Summer City" neighborhood, was isolated and peaceful, yet an easy drive to local beaches, waterparks, etc. We spent time at Conneaut Twp park/Beach, and at Presque Isle, and Waldemeer.

Better than could he imagined!

We rented this cabin/cottage, and we're delighted at how roomy and open it actually felt. We were so impressed by the detail that Lynn and Mac took when designing this little gem along the lake! It truly was a phenomenal place to stay! The cabin had almost anything you could want or need. And since it was on higher ground than the cabins below, it felt very private! The yard itself was also super spacious. There was a hammock nestled in some trees to one side, a great fire pit area, a wooden swing facing the lake, as well as both a ground level and on Deck dining area. One of the most unique features of this gem was the outdoor shower! What an amazing experience to shower outside with nothing but the trees, sky, and birds overhead... And the hot water never ran out! Never before had my children asked to shower more than once a day! I highly recommend this location, and hope to return in the future! Erin M

Great Cabin!

Very nice property with lake views! This was a great getaway after being cooped up during the pandemic for so long. We really enjoyed watching the hummingbirds and the chipmunks. We found the cabin appointed beyond expectations and the property was very well maintained. We would definitely recommend this property to others and would love to stay there again! Excellent experience!

Cozy Quiet Cottage Feel

We really liked the cabin in "Summer City" (what the locals call the small community of cabins this property is part of), and the people were all friendly. It is in a fairly remote location of eastern Pennsylvania, which was nice, and the boat launch with picnic tables to watch the sunset on Lake Erie is about a five minute walk downhill. One of the owners, Lynn, came to greet us within minutes of our arrival and was quick to offer any help as needed. Also, soon after booking our reservation, we had to reschedule, and Lynn was great about it. Although we didn't require any assistance during our 3-night stay, it was reassuring to know that the she lived within walking distance. Erie, Pennsylvania is a nice 30- minute drive, so we went to Presque Isle in Erie on Sunday, which is a peninsula with three lighthouses, tons of acreage for walking and biking, and a historical marker from the Revolutionary War. We ended the day by going to the Sloppy Duck restaurant on the water for dinner (crab cakes!) and getting Romolo's ice cream for dessert. I would be glad to rent this cabin again. It is two miles from Peggy Gray's Chocolates, too, which is a bonus. It is small but cozy with a lot of amenities.

Family Weekend

We had a great time at the cabin visiting family in Erie. It’s wonderfully maintained and we enjoyed walking around the little neighborhood in the mornings and evenings. The outdoor shower is also a must!

Fantastic Stay!

Our family of four stayed here and loved it! Very clean property and the owner was friendly! The location is perfect. We traveled to the Cleveland Zoo, Waldameer Amusement park and Presque Isle. The cabin is in a nice community and it is just a short walk from the water. Cabin is laid out well and includes anything you might need. Fire pit was very nice and the setting is peaceful. We highly recommend this property!!

Mac and Lynn purchased the property in 2018 and remodeled it beginning in the spring of 2019. The complete renovation provides the perfect cabin to come home to after a long days adventure. The cabin/cottage is basically both. It is near the lake but also near the woods so if you are a lake lover or a woodsy person- We have the best of both worlds for you. The cabin is on top of a slight hill so that the other cottages are far below. complete privacy, but not isolation. The cabin was completely renovated with ceiling taken out for vaulted cedar ceiling and beautiful hickory hardwood floors. Clean and safe for the kids.

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

The property is tucked away, with a view of the lake on one side and the woods on the other. Enjoy a fire in the fire pit at night-or relax in the hammock in the woods after a long day sight seeing. Covered bridges are in Conneaut Ohio for a unique excursion. Presque Isle is not too far away. The attic was taken out to add to the dimensions of the cabin. Beautiful cedar ceiling and hickory cabinets and solid hardwood hickory flooring adds to the feel of the log cabin. The cabin is small but enough room inside and spacious property outside with firepit to roast marshmallows and hammock in the woods for relaxing. The cottage sits back, on top of a slight hill so that the other cottages are below. Privacy but not isolation. Turn one way and you can enjoy the lake, turn the other way and you see the woods which has a stream. Whether you are a fisherman looking for a retreat after fishing, a family looking for a great escape, of a cozy couples getaway, this cabin offers it all. Located between great fishing places-Crooked Creek/ Raccoon Creek/ Elk Creek- great fishing getaways.
