We had a great stay. Beautiful views from the wrap around deck, we loved hanging out there. Enjoyed seeing all the different birds and deer. Great place for our family reunion/vacation. Convenient location to get to various attractions and to Woodland Park and Manitou Springs. Comfortable beds, plenty of pillows and bedding. 2 kitchens which came in handy. Hot tub was perfect. Communication with Mr. Laggart was great, very quick and responsive. We recommend staying here.
This house is very family friendly. My 7 month old had plenty of room to crawl around and it was very baby safe. My 5 year old loved how she could go outside on the deck and watch for wildlife and go walking in the woods. Very comfortable stay and beautiful views. Very easy to get to just about anywhere. We would definintly stay here again.
We stayed with 12 family members total. Everyone loved the gouse and views. Close to fishing for some and city for others.I will say its bot a 5 star resort...dont expect that. We loved it though!
Absolutely loved the house, the view, and the quiet coziness you get for the price. Its nestled near Manitou Springs, Garden of the Gods, The cave settlements, and the Cave tour where you can visit the location, tire yourself out then in less than 10 mins be back at the house to take a nap to recharge. Just be mindful driving through the neighborhood there was a lot of deer roaming in the area.
Great location, great views, easy check in process. We had everything we needed as it relates to pots and pans, seasonings and toiletry items. This is very rare. Only problem we had was assuming the additional rooms included a bed and a pull out couch as I read it. It was enough space but the beds were not comfortable for some. Otherwise would recommend for all of the other great features.
Plenty of room for the three family units with kids! Nice suite downstairs. All very quiet, large rooms. Many fun hikes to do with kids a short drive away. Great communication with owner
Gorgeous mountain views and very comfortable! We would definitely stay here again! The location was excellent. We enjoyed many evenings and mornings sitting on the deck!
We enjoyed the house it was very spacious and plenty of room for our big group. The road is very curvy and the driveway is downhill with 3 vehicles was a bit of a challenge at first but we figured it out. The views from the back deck were beautiful.
Great property. Definitely a mountain property so no trails or hiking available at the location but a great place to stay in the Colorado Springs area.
We had a great time on our trip and if you are looking for a solid place to stay with a big group, this is a good option. These are the overall pros and cons of this rental for our group. I find this helpful when reading reviews. :) Pros: - Size of house, great for big groups- Location is great. Just enough of a mountain vibe, but close enough to get to things as well. - Value of rental/price was great. - Comfortable beds. - Two kitchens are great for shared family vacays. - Good amount of bathrooms. - Owner was quick in responding/great communication. - Fantastic views off the deck.- Easy check-in process. Cons: - Not enough bedding for all beds (specifically for use of sleeper sofas) and not a lot of extra towels for a larger group. There is a washer/dryer though, which was definitely a pro. - Upstairs fridge was not working properly (but I believe this is getting fixed after our stay). - Downstairs kitchen unit not stocked with cooking supplies, utensils, etc. - One of the downstairs bedrooms did not have a door. Might not be a big deal to all groups, but would be nice to know for planning. We ended up hanging a blanket lol. Overall, our group really enjoyed this house and it fit our needs. We made some great memories!
It was very spacious for all 14 of us and it was very nice and affordable with a mountain view.. would definitely rent this property again in the future
Plenty of room for everyone, comfortable beds, open floor plan makes it really nice for hanging out together, large kitchen, laundry facilities were great, hot tub clean, and barbeque grill! Nice view of the mountains off the deck. Spent many mornings and evenings on the deck!
The house suited our needs for an extended family home base during a wedding. The porch with hummingbirds was relaxing & entertaining. There was plenty of room for separation as needed, Additionally, there were plenty of pots, pans, plates etc.
Great home for a large family. Loved the deck, hot tub, and open kitchen. We forgot many mountain cabins donât have air conditioning yet many windows open for fresh breeze. Richard was responsive to our needs. Would have liked a few extra blankets, so make sure and ask early for those to make sure they are on site. Some reported beds were not very comfortable. It was clean. Great location to many activities. Loved the Blue moose Tavern.
We stayed here 6 days for USAFA's Parents Weekend '24. The house was very clean. The kitchen was very well stocked. All appliances worked. The beds and sheets were SOOO comfortable. There were plenty of towels, toilet paper, etc... My 2 Cadets loved the hottub. There was so much room to spread out between the 3 floors for everyone to do their homework, or just sleep. If this property is available, we will DEFINITELY stay here again for future Parents Weekends or Graduations! This is a super quiet area and the views of the mountains, and the sounds of the birds was fantastic as we sat on the wraparound porch. Complete relaxation. The charcoal grill was also perfect!
House was just as described, pictures in the listing were accurate. Everything in the house worked as it should. Check in/out was very simple. Our literal only complaint are the super creaky floors in the master suite, but even those didnât detract from the views and how comfortable the house was. Great location too, close to Manitu, Colorado Springs and Woodland ParkâŠ..and many popular local sites such as Garden of the Gods, cliff dwellings, Pikes Peak, and others.
Would not recommend getting to the house at night. Do able but harder to navigate the roads to the driveway. But the house was great! So much room for everyone, great views, bird feeder to bird watch, and the hot tub at night was a nice way to relax. The master bedroom floor was very creaky, and we wish the hot tub was on the deck for a better view. But overall everyone really enjoyed the stay and didn't want to leave.
We were a group of three families and the house was a great size for us. Also the location is very convenient for Colorado Springs and Manitou. The house was clean. The basement did seem to have an odor inspite of the multiple air fresheners. Some of the furniture was damaged as well. The owner was very quick to respond to any communication. Overall this worked pretty well for us as a large group but the property could use some maintenance.
We had a great time here. This place was not really clean, appliances broken, hot tub didnât work well. Dining room chairs very unstable. I would not stay at this house again unless repairs were made
We had a family reunion in green Mountain Falls. My immediate family stayed at this house. It is very spacious and comfortably slept our 6 adults and 4 kids. With plenty of room to spread out. We did find the kitchen lacking in some areas. The dishwasher needs repair and there were not sufficient baking dishes, pans, utensils, etc to accommodate the number of people that the house holds. We bought a few things and left at the cabin. When we showed up there was minimal toilet paper which is fine, but would like to have known beforehand. We also purchased washcloths, because there were none available, wine glasses, pot holders. The deck is beautiful and we would have liked to have had more quiet time just sitting out there. Maintenance needs to be done on the stair and deck spindles. I was nervous with our younger grandkids knowing one of them might knock them out and fall. Overall we enjoyed our stay. I would stay again if the stair spindles and dishwasher were repaired. Also, the carpet on the main level needs to be replaced. It would make a huge cosmetic difference.
Me and my wife own and manage several VRBO properties in the Colorado Springs area. Ask me about my other properties if you don't find what you are looking for here.
This property is situated on a side of a mountain with national forest bordering the property line. This home has beautiful views of Ute Pass and the surrounding mountains and is in the middle of nature.
