The cabin didnât come with any cleaning supplies or trash bags. A first for any place Iâve stayed where they expect you to remove your trash. The river is not by the cabin, itâs a couple miles down the road. If you stay and it rains the parking area in the back will flood with almost a foot of water. Bring your rain boots. After doing the dishes with soap I bought and putting the trash in the bin they still tried to charge me a 100 fee. Ridiculous. Stay somewhere else
We stayed 4 days 3 nights and loved every minute. Rustic charm, lots of pease and quiet and tons of wildlife. Meramec Springs is close and plenty of good places to eat In town. We plan on making this a regular get away!
Plenty of room with all the necessities. We had a short trip with young children. We enjoyed the river access just a short distance from the cabin which was pretty important due to the heat.
For a cabin outdoor experience it was okay. Communication with the management was tricky--they never sent, or I never received the check in process until we actually arrived. WIFI was spotty, TV remote was in sofa cushion (my husband finally found it), bathroom had a leak somewhere, never figured it out and we lost power for almost 2 hours Easter Sunday. Owner did not respond very quickly BUT in hindsight it was Easter weekend so that could have been the issue. I thought I read somewhere it had hiking trails in back and a dishwasher but that must have been for another listing. I won't say we would never go back there again, we still had fun and the adult grandkids liked the bedrooms and space. I just think it being Easter weekend and our first time ever we were a little disappointed but know what to expect next time.
I felt like I was walking into my home, very welcoming & very clean! The location is perfect for float trips, close enough to Adventurers Outdoors for rental. I loved being able enjoy quiet wilderness mornings and evenings watching the deer graze in the field.
If you are planning on Hunting the local public land this is where you want to stay. Also a great place to stay if you are planning to visit the Maramac State Park. The park is pretty much across the street.
We had a fun weekend loved that itâs only 3 cabins in the area so have lots of privacy and no noise from neighbors. Only down fall was when rain came in we wish the wifi would of worked so we could of done a movie night. Was ok with no wifi but it was advertised as having wifi and could only pick up one bar even when weather was good so TV was just useless had it not advertised having a working TV we would of brought more card or board games if bad weather came in but we had just planed if had to stay in could do movie time I would visit again over all 4 star out of 5
Very Large old farm house with enough beds to accommodate a large group. Bathroom arrangement is funky though and lack privacy. Down stairs toilet is in a closet of one bedroom and the shower is in a back 4 season room. Upstairs the bath is tucked around a corner but has no door to close it off. Worked fine with just two of us but some who like a little more privacy might find it lacking.
The detailed directions are ok if you are arriving in the daylight. This is for anyone that will experience what we did. Once you turn onto 3600 you will turn left to get to the cabins about a 1/2 mile once you get in lost creek. Its the first left you can take.
I didn't know there was a washer and dryer there so that was an awesome bonus!
Absolutely no complaints! It is a beautiful cabin in a beautiful location. The place is equipped with everything needed, itâs in a quiet spot and the owner is super friendly and accessible. I definitely plan on going back soon.
