Ceci est une belle suite à aire ouverte. Il a une cuisine complète, qui est entièrement approvisionnée, grande salle de bain petite chambre supplémentaire. Le salon principal a un salon confortable avec un lit king-size et une belle cheminée. Il y a un magnifique patio juste devant la porte d'entrée qui donne sur le lac Independence à seulement 50 pieds. Il y a un coin salon avec salle à manger sur le patio, grill fourni. Les jardins sont verts et pleins de jardins luxuriants pour votre plaisir. Une escapade parfaite pour un couple! 28% de réduction pour les séjours de 7 nuits ou plus.

The property is an amazing place to stay and relax, enjoying the view. Good proximity to Marquette if you want to fish and see other sites. My husband went fishing and caught 7 brown trout. We gave the fish to the hosts, Paul and Gina, who then invited us to dinner for fish :) We had great pizza at the Lumberjack Tavern at Paul's recommendation. We are considering another trip to the area and would definitely stay here again. It has all the amenities required for a few days or for a few weeks. The hosts however are what made the stay so memorable. Thank you again for your hospitality.

What a lovely place! There is a view of the lake from every window, and you can sit outside to have breakfast or play a game and feel the breeze and listen to the water. The hosts are very sweet and offered a kayak if we wanted, and it's clearly nice for swimming. Lots of AC for hot weather, nice comfy beds, very clean, plenty of space. The fridge is so clean it looks like it's never been used! :) Plenty of dishes and towels and anything you need. There is only a few buildings in the town, but the Lumberjack Inn has good prices and friendly people and the ice cream place is fabulous! So you can go into Marquette or you can just stay local and either way, you will have a wonderful trip!

We thoroughly enjoyed this property. It met all of our needs and provided a great base for exploring the surrounding area. Gina and Paul were very gracious hosts.

Although the listing states you’re getting “whole house” and that’s it’s a 2 bedroom, it isn’t. It is a walkout basement suite with a king size bed in the living room and the home owners living above you and around you for your whole stay. They were outside themselves and had guests of their own, so privacy? No. Are they lovely? Yes. Is it a lovely lakefront suite? Yes. Very comfortable with a GREAT bed. Without that, it would rate a 2-3, because we didn’t expect to live with hosts, nor sleep in a living room with curtains that don’t close, and a lakefront that is VERY difficult to navigate at night because there is virtually no lighting outside and there are rock pathways and sloping lawn to get to your door under their deck. It’s pitch black after 9pm, so bring a flashlight. That said, it’s a good price for a cute space.

Absolutely stunning, peaceful property. The area was remote, which was very nice. It's beautiful and quiet. The lake was yards from the backdoor and very serene. Paul and Gina were very kind and gracious hosts!

Big Bay Retreat

The suite was great. This is a great place to stay for a couple or family of 3. The lake was beautiful and we also enjoyed the kayaks. Gina and Paul were great.

We absolutely loved our stay. Gina was so welcoming and helpful. The property was well stocked and is exactly as shown . The view of the lake is beautiful. If in the area again we will definitely stay there again.

Going off the grid a couple of days…

This is a wonderful destination to relax and take in the serene Lake Independence. We bicycled the area and did day trips to Marquette.

Our comforting home base

My partner and I had a lovely time at Gina and Paul's place. It is located close to many sights in the Huron Mountains for exploring, and day trips to Marquette were convenient. The place was very clean, very well stocked, and in a beautiful location. Your front door is practically on the lake!

Beautiful!

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay. We brought our paddle boards so being right on Lake Independence was great. The living space was very clean, had everything we needed (including a comfortable bed!), and the hosts were very friendly and helpful. We also loved being about 35 minutes from Marquette - there is a wonderful Farmer's Market on Saturday mornings and Wednesday evenings that we recommend going to. We also enjoyed hiking at Yellow Dog Falls and Dead River Falls (more advanced). We had a great trip and would stay here again!

I couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful setting and place to stay. Our hosts were more than accommodating to us and made us feel welcome. The rooms were beautiful and were everything that we were looking for. Thank you so much. We would really love to come back next year!

Amazing Views

Location, Location, Location … The views of the lake, mountains, wild life , and host were so calming & appreciated. Spent most of down time on great patio playing games . Tons of love was placed on supplies, nothing was missing as far as household needs Hope to get back here soon!

Hi Gina and Paul, WOW, what a wonderful weekend getaway! Your spot on Lake Independence in Big Bay is fantastic! Everything was so very clean. The king bed was super comfortable! It The view of the lake from the patio was peaceful and serine. Enjoying a night fire by the fire pit was a highlight! Thanks so much for being terrific hosts!

Great, relaxing getaway

This was a perfect set-up for a couple to get away and kick back. The suite was clean, spacious, and comfortable, but the real attraction was the setting. Depending on the time of day and the weather, we sat by the lake, in the garden, or on the deck. We kayaked on the beautiful water, and enjoyed day trips driving, sightseeing, and hiking in the UP and Lake Superior. Best of all, we did not have to give up our gadgets, with wi-fi availability and great cell reception. Paul and Gina are outstanding hosts, going beyond expectations to make our stay ideal.

Amazing Stay

Paul & Gina greeted us when we arrived, and Paul even went out of his way to help carry things down to the suite! The property was beautiful and the view from the living area was surreal! Also, we were able to enjoy the fire pit. There were kayaks & a canoe available for use as well. We were blessed beyond measure, and the colors were spectacular. Thank you Paul & Gina for blessing us with our stay at this beautiful space of heaven!! You both were very gracious and helpful we appreciate your hospitality...we are looking forward to booking from you again!

Lake is right out your front door. We have wonderful hiking,biking and four wheel trails. We provide kayaks and canoes. There’s a fire pit to enjoy in the evening. Looking out over the lake you see the beautiful Huron Mountain range.
