Our stay was short, but great! Home was beautifully decorated and clean, had everything we needed. Enjoyed the screened in porch and hot tub. Everything was top notch and would love to come back when we can stay longer!

Wonderful!

My parents and I came in for the weekend to visit with family friends, and we enjoyed our time at this property! It was beautiful and very clean. We would definitely stay here again!

It was neat and clean and had everything we needed.

This past weekend my husband, son and I stayed at the (Beach Happy) beach house. It was a newly built house that was clean and spacious and also decorated very well (very beachy). It was a short walk to the beach. We had a very enjoyable time and would love to go back again soon.

Fantastic Space and Great Location

The property is in a great location about 1/2 mile walk inland from a great beach and pier location. It has a nice screened porch facing a wooded area providing privacy (which is rare on Oak Island) and bug protection. We rented in the off season and right after a tropical storm went through the area. It could use a detailed cleaning as there was a bit of dirt and grime under things plus a couple of charming dead cockroaches. Those made the stay 4 star instead of 5.

Perfect, family friendly home

Accurately portrayed online. The house is gorgeous. It is clean and open and the screened in porch was a favorite spot. The blocks were a big hit for our two year old. The cleaning crew deserves a tip!! The house was in tip top shape and very very clean! 👍🏼👍🏼 Great location and easy access to public walkway at 20th street, beautiful view of sunset there. We would book this again. Would love to come back to Oak Island! Great family weekend.

Great house

The house is as very nice and was probably the cleanest rental I have ever stayed in. The location is good and only a 5 min drive to beach (parking is always available). It’s really an ideal place for families such as mine with young kids (outside shower, bunk beds, great kitchen, enclosed porch). I highly recommend. One tip for future renters is to check if boardwalks are open before trying to walk from the house to the beach. The closest boardwalk was closed for repairs the full week while we were there and the other access points over the marsh to the beach are a longer walk or bike ride if you have little kids (bikes not allowed on boardwalk). It’s still a great location close to the beach but you just may just want to drive to boardwalk to check that it’s open.

Perfect Getaway

This was our first time in Oak Island and we will definitely be back! The house was perfect! Cute, clean and had all the feels of a beach house.

Annual Summer Getaway

This is the second year we reserved this house for two families. The kids share the bunk room and each couple gets one of the queen bedrooms. The house is perfect for us and we love the screened in porch for the parents to hang out on after the kids go to sleep. The home is very clean, beautifully decorated and a quick drive to the beach access. We love that Oak Island is a more quant location and perfect for families. I am sure we will outgrow the home but we intend to stay again each summer until that happens.

Perfect Getaway

We loved staying at this property! This was our first time in Oak Island and it didn’t disappoint. From the moment we checked in, this house was perfect for our two families. The outdoor screened in area with hammock were a favorite amongst everyone including the little kids. We definitely will be back. Perfect beach spot for families with young children.

Lovely house for a relaxing vacation

We were extremely pleased with our stay at this location. It was exactly what we were looking for in our beach stay. It was on a quiet street with a quick drive to the beach. The tranquil vibe and beach theme in the house was adorable and added to our stay. I would highly recommend for families looking for a perfect spot to relax with their family!

We loved staying at Beach Happy! Everything was so clean and well-maintained. The owners provided starter necessities which made our arrival much more pleasant. They were also very responsive and friendly. We will absolutely book here again.

Great stay!

Beautiful family home, very clean! Really the perfect place for us to stay with two little ones. My son loved the bunk beds and both boys loved playing with the toys. Easy access to the beaches close by. We also enjoyed checking out the lighthouse (from a distance due to COVID). Would definitely recommend this place as a lovely place to stay when in Oak Island... in fact, I already have! :)

Relaxing stay while schooling and working online

With the pandemic we wanted to find a house close to the beach. This house was great and a perfect fit. The host was fantastic. She told us that she does the same. We each got a room with good wifi. Then at the end of each day we drove a short distance to a great beack at the end on Oak Island. We could not walk to the beack because they were removing sand from a prior high tide caused by a hurricane. But this made us discover this new beach which was awesome. Great swimming and excellent house is what we'll remember from this stay. Marc

Beach weekend

I arrived on a Sunday afternoon. The house was just as described.. beautiful inside and out! Bed was comfortable, and the really you couldn't ask for a nicer place to stay on Oak Island. The walk to the beach was incredible too! It's about 15 minutes and you get to see Egrets, pelicans.. just wonderful. I would love to stay here again! Thanks Jessica and Aaron!

Cheerful & clean

Our family enjoyed staying here for vacation. It was very beautifully decorated, clean and had everything we needed. We used the grill and ate in some, and the kitchen was well stocked and the kids loved the kid dishes. They also enjoyed the bunk beds and toys! The walk to the beach was maybe 15 minutes, and thankfully we brought a trailer that held the kids and our beach stuff. The mattress (in the master bedroom; didn't try the other bedroom) and pillows weren't the most comfortable, but that's the only negative. Thanks for a fun vacation!

Our house is centrally-located to all Oak Island has to offer. Close to Middleton Bridge for easy access on-and-off the island, walkable to the beach and the intracoastal waterway, and a short drive to a growing list of Oak Island restaurants, shops and parks.

Enjoy morning coffee or a nap in the hammock on our screened porch. Cook family meals at the house with a fully-equipped kitchen, full-sized grill on the back deck, and two outdoor tables.
